  • Explosive Chen Tai Chi Move! Sometimes Fa Jing or Fa Ching, the explosive striking abilities in Chen Tai Chi are very intense on your body and if applied toward an opponent! Many forms of athletics and sport use this power such as a baseball swing, golf swing, boxing punch, 100mph fastball, slap shot, or explosive move to the quarterback for a sack. But, the Chinese gave it a name: Tai Chi Chuan Fa Ching (Tai Ji Quan Fa Jing)! Try it with me here! What a workout!!!

    Chen style tai chi has specific body mechanics training that's central to the style; this guy's movement shows that he hasn't done any of that. It's not nitpicking to call this fake Chen tai chi.

    @bcnihao 11 лет назад +3

    Those strikes look like just the arm moving. Contrast that with the fajin of one of the acknowledged Chen style leaders, like CXW.

    Yeah, I believe Jace should name his teachers so that we all can know what lineage he has learnt from. It isn't a derogatory nor a rhetoric question. It is in fact a common thing within martial arts communities to ask a person about the lineages of their styles.

    almost agree, now look at his feet.. he jumps a little bit while striking and changes sides... it is very hard to control dantian when you doing that.. you have to be rooted to the earth in this particular one and only hip joints supposed to be rotating, except for some other technics of jumps in fajin..

    Sorry, but that is not tai chi. That is just striking with flourishes.

    If anyone wants to see REAL Chen Style Tai Chi Check out Chen Xiaowang Explosive Demo From 2003. This is the REAL stuff. Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang is a true master of Taiji.

      Eric Gregg Chen Tai Chi is Chen Xiaowang's family Martial arts. His grand, grand grand..... father invented the Chen Tai Chi. the first master of Yang Tai Chi learnt Tai Chi from Chen Xiaowang's grandfather. Chen Xiaowang, Wang Xi'an, Chen Zhenglei, Zhu Xiaocai, they are the four greatest grandmaser of Chen Tai Chi. Chen Xiaowang, Wang Xi'an , they are chinese national treasure level grandmasters. the son of Wang Xi'an , Wang Zhanjun, he is also very great.

    by the way....practicing fajin in a wrong way can affect your health in a bad way also...the way you are doing it is very wrong....its not only slow and fast movements its a way deep philosophy than you can imagine...its time for you to go for theory Mr. Mace.

    Watch those students and noticed how round the legs are. This is how I practice. I try to practice smaller circles with silk reeling around legs like that still using Dan Tien principles and Yin/Yang form. Qi flows really well with round legs like that.

    Practicing anything in a wrong way is not good! But, sitting around on your butt inactive and growing old and fat is worse! The Fa Jing drill in this video is very challenging (if you do over 30 strikes) and great for health and martial power!

  • @RealKungFu

  • @MrLovekaz
    @MrLovekaz 12 лет назад

    couldn't agree more! fajin is always challenging, but it has to be done correctly first of all. than you can call it fajin. otherwise its some "physical exercise" which is good just like any other modern gymnastics and of coz is very good for the health. I'm practicing wushu for 15 years now and taijichuan Chen style for 5 years. I've seen a lot and had never seen anything in Chenshi that you do.

    you're right, although it seems they do know some abt martial arts (mostly popular taolu), but their knowledges are good enough only for beginners, the person who has a lot of devotion to martial arts and have enough smarts to get that this way is leading nowhere and he got everything he could ever get from this master must to continue his way further on, he must enhance his view abt martial arts, try to see the difference, look for authentic,original, it takes years

    Try this: Chen Tai Chi practice each morning for 10 days straight! Roll out of bed and "hit it"! Let nothing break your focus! You are allowed to go to the gym and use the elliptical machine while watching TV etc, but not while doing Tai Chi! Give yourself to complete focus during your practice and you will see the benefits of daily practice! :)

    that Jake is using what he knows to benefit people around the world, by promoting health, mental fortification, and self-defense. I'd much rather learn from a guy who promotes these sorts of things than a guy who's so concerned about lineage that he's willing to sue and attempt to ruin the life of another person. Props to you Jake, you have my support and more than likely the support of grateful people around the world regardless of what these "masters" may try to put down upon you

    Actually it's Chen Fake's students. I practice both styles though. Chen Yu is awesome too. However, the top students of Chen Fake like Du Yu Ze, Tian XuXien, LI JingWu, Feng ZhiQiang and Pan Yongzhou. Both are great however I like Chen fakes style although I don't think there's much difference in the efectiveness.

    Well I have seen people do Fa Jing differently but usually not in this manner. I've seen others do Fa Jing this way and I don't know how it feels on his body so as long as it's safe. I follow the traditional principles of Chen style through silk reeling. I can kind of see the silk reeling in his striking he seems to be sinking. As he said, everybody has a different way. I can't say much because i'm not a high enough level. I've a lot of learning to do myself, though.

    He either learned them from his teacher David Soard, or his teachers teacher Sin Kwang The'.
    Mr. Mace would not have been able to tell you who he learned from due to the lawsuit he was involved with Sin The. Jake's teacher, David Soard, was involved in some sexual misconduct with his female students. One of whom was Jake's girlfriend. Sin The' gave his support to Soard, so jake left the organization. ..guys we have to apologies he is a victim himself...

    Honestly, since most kung fu guys can't fight anyways, I don't see the difference. Besides, every form was at one time "made up" by somebody. We try to hold up what is "traditional" like its some sacred thing, when Wong Fei Hung would have ditched whatever he had if someone came along with something that was in a practical sense "better."
