Great review nicely done all see you out there. Y’all Let’s go camping.
Hey man, I really hope this channel does well. This is exactly the kind of thing we need on RUclips. I like the interviews you’re doing and some trail videos would be nice. I’ve watched all your videos so far. What would be helpful is a video of climbing in and out of a roof top tent, as I age I wonder how difficult that might be. I’m an old school desert racer that slept in the bed of the truck or on the ground. We’ve actually been looking at the turtle back and the OGT trailers.
We live in Douglas Az so a long way to go anywhere to try it out.
I love the idea you have for get together on the trail.
I wish you much success.
Thank you for the kind words. We are just regular people looking to meet like minded people who love camping and overlanding. Not sure how much success I will have with the channel as I am not a professional RUclipsr and don't have the software and or time to edit videos since I work 60-70 hours a week. I have no agenda and just want to be real with people. As far as the Roof top tent it is what it is on that as you have to climb up a ladder. I can appreciate your concern as our knees are not what they used to be. I look at the RTT as something for younger people in general. That is why we got the Offgrid trailer for that reason, ease of use and comfort. If you ever want to get out on the trail with us as group follow us on Facebook "broken down overlanders" where we post our trips and all upcoming trips. Also on our website www.bdoverlanders.com Cheers my friend!
well done guys.
To the couple with the Pando - What’s your tow vehicle? JKU? Regeared or anything? Doesn’t look like you can open your tailgate - that would be a pain. Also, do you have an additional power wire from your tow vehicle battery to power that dc-dc charger? If so, run beside your 7 pin? Kind of glossed over a lot, including showing where you mounted the extra propane tank you spoke of.
21 Diesel. At the time if this recording no bcdc but was installed later in 22. Redarc bcdc controller inside the trailer and run from the Jeep via a marine style waterproof connector.
I have significant sag on my jeep 392 when I hook up to my Pando 2.0. Do you guys have the same issue and, if so, what did you do to mitigate it? I'm looking at moving my spare tire to the roof to reduce tongue weight, but I'm not sure I can get it up there, and installing Air Lift bags in my jeep rear springs. I just spent 5 weeks off grid in northern Idaho and I only had a 100W Renogy panel on the roof.
If you call or reach out to Randy Clary he will hook you up with exactly what you need. He can be reached at www.leaddogmotorsports.com I don't have a Jeep so I wouldn't be the best resource for that but he is.
What campground is this in Big Bear?
Dispersed camping spot we found outside of Holcomb valley
Yes Big Bear
Maybe she should have given the job, she seems to think so, funny
