Poly Vinyl on a PEX fitting is a recipe for an unseen leak that will likely go undetected until the damage is done. I have several from the factory that have already failed on a 3 yo trailer. Now in the process of removing all of them.
I have an RV that has a nylon hose water line to the toilet. I believe it is a 1/2 connection to the toilet valve. Should I use nylon tape on the threads to help with potential leaks?
hello, great video! I have a leak, can you recommend a part number for the gray fitting that goes into the hot water heater? I have a 2003 Carson Fun Runner
Help if my water system is drained and not hooked up at all. No faucets, no toilet, everything open. Do I need to somehow cap everything and winterize it anyway? Please & Ty
Eric, when Pex first came out, wasn’t it a flexible tubing like the poly tubing they make now? I remember seeing it used and thought it was a great idea because you could run it up and over without a fitting, so better than copper for freezing and better than Cpvc because you don’t need as many fittings and no glue to breathe. I have watched many videos and never seen the fittings you used with channel locks. Hope you put links to the parts. I need to check my rv plumbing and correct any issues that rv repair people say is a disaster waiting to happen where they join Pex and flex tubing.

Using a crimp ring with poly vinyl tubing on a pex fitting is absolutely the wrong way to make a water connection. Like @BearNPum said, it’s a recipe for disaster!
Your video just seemed confusing for me, if I could see them on your table!!? which goes with which?? Just really confused with you pulling up different ones and the next second your putting another one up in front of the camera ,NO , SORRY!!
