I see the Elbo Room, where Las Olas meets A1A is packed as always. It was always a dive, and I never went there, but it has a new color scheme. Some of the landmarks of the fun early 80s are gone- The Marlin Beach, “Deco” Denny’s, The New Wave Lounge… I remember Spring Breakers partying and screaming at “The Button” and “The candy Store” and “Penrod’s”- while we locals hated the noise and traffic that was at a standstill!
