  • Despite mounting evidence this mother is still protecting her daughter from consequences, while building a co-dependent relationship between them. Parents hold the responsibility for their child's well-being, which sometimes requires making decisions kids won't like.

She's crying because she thought that bringing mom to "plead her case" would get her probation instead of prison time!! Well she thought WRONG!! Judge Boyd is smart and knows that the only way this girl will get clean is to get her away from the source of the drugs. I don't think she really cares about her kids - she just cares about the drugs. And we all know that she's not just smoking weed - I think she's using Meth too!! She didn't think about the consequences when she attacked grandpa!! Guess those kids are better off with him than with grandma. Because we know that grandma will drag those babies to visit momma in jail! Yeah, THAT'S something every kid should have to experience - having to sit in the car for hours to get to the prison, then kids having to be physically searched (and they make visitors with babies remove their diaper to prove that they're not trying to smuggle drugs in them!) each time they go there, see mommy in an orange jumpsuit for an hour or so, then take the long ride home, just to come back next time grandma thinks they should see mommy again!! NO KID SHOULD HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THAT - EVER!!! Let those babies stay with Grandpa - he'll take better care of them, and he's not going to make excuses for her behavior!!

It happens, because we are merely human. The worst thing weed does is cause mood swings, agitation when the users runs out of supply and unpredictability when 'dealing' with family members. Because it does not quite have the dramatic effect of class A drugs, it is seen as less harmful, but it is insidious in its effects. I know from observing someone who has used weed for years.

The fact that this woman has children and has all this drama going on, is telling me her children don't have a snowball's chance of succeeding in life. This court system is destroying our future. Time to put losers away ASAP.

The disgusting defendant asked the Judge, “Why are you doing this to me?” It tells you everything you need to know about her.
Girl, you did it to yourself! Your actions got you where you are.

I love this judge, we need more like her! She doesn’t put up with people’s crap and she isn’t afraid to find them guilty and sentence them accordingly! This chick got exactly what she deserved!! Her mom definitely knows she’s on other drugs and can be violent, she’s not that stupid, she just isn’t willing to have tough love and admit that her daughter deserves prison time !!

Same here friend - 5 years sober, it was my choice, then I got addicted, and I had to decide to get sober and put in the effort to do so. I know not everyone thinks that way but I share that opinion!

@@whitway12 yes. Unless someone physically held you down and injected you, it's your choice and on you. People have to face that fact and take responsibility for their choices. Congratulations 🎉 that's awesome. I have been for 7 yrs. Praise God 🙌🙏

All too often doctors put people on opioids and don’t explain to them the risks… but I know that wasn’t the case here.

She was 18 and in a relationship with him. She may have said, "no thank you" a thousand times. Some people are very persuasive. Obviously I don't know her husband and father-in-law but if they were both using around her, it was bound to happen eventually. Not everyone, especially 18 year olds, don't have the strength to say no.

I truly believe that Pregnancies should be illegal without a parental licence. Licences to be obtained via completing parental training courses and passing financial threshold's... NO CHILD ASKS TO BE BORN and they need to be protected from monsters that think children are property..
