@@umustthkimstupid yep, 💯! She had her story all planned out .. she thought (mistakenly) that by refusing a jury trial, all she had to do was tell her version of the story (lies) and that would be it, she would just walk away with cushy probation and life would be good. What she *didn't* take into account is Judge Boyd .. a Judge who is very inquisitive, can read a person just by watching them as they speak, and does not let one thing get by her. In trying to help herself, she only dug herself deeper in the hole. Even her attorney doesn't believe her .. look at his face the whole time. He just let her go on and on, to her own detriment.

He never did. He listened. There are many people who are disabled that have no money because let's be real SSI and SSDI pays crap and you're stuck in a rock and a hard place but they choose to steal if you steal you will get caught you will go to jail or you will be on probation for a long time house arrest whatever and there's consequences for people's actions there's no excuse

Living situations can cause a decrease such as if someone else helps with rent, utilities etc. This woman is not getting rich from her mother's SSI payment. In today's world the mother could not live on her own if more physically fit let alone needing assist on that amount.

My daughter in law has Munchausen’s and has spent almost all her life ‘ill’. She doctor shops to find fools that believe her. Her illnesses are always of the type that are clinically diagnosed ie there’s nothing to see on x Ray or tests. She’s had a diagnosis of every neuro muscular disease in the books. She’s had exploratory ops…when a doctor gets what’s going on she runs. Finally she got Diabetes 2 and was thrilled. Except she didn’t read past the symptoms of insulin dependent so it got very weird very fast. And of course she’s had a life long benefit ride….and my son has held her hand all the way through. There’s their mobility car and house rent at stake.

Competency in the court system refers to a defendant's ability to understand the charges and proceedings against them, and to assist in their defense. The standard for competency to stand trial is whether the defendant has the ability to consult with their lawyer rationally and understand the proceedings against them. However, a defendant may still be competent to stand trial even if they have a mental illness, as long as it doesn't impair their legal abilities.
