I’ve never obeyed shelf life stickers and I never will when it comes to makeup.🤷♀️ Sorry! If it doesn’t smell weird or look bad, I’m keeping/wearing it!
I don't when it comes to powder products but with creams I follow it a bit more closely. 😊 Most of the products shown in this video had a 12 month shelf life and I kept a lot that were probably 2 years old because they still look/swatch fine and even if I don't use them on my face, I'll use them for comparisons. The ones I got rid of were multiple years old and WAY past the expiration date.
The rule to throw out after an imaginary time period is bogus. Like you said, if the formula hasn’t changed in color, consistency or smell, there is no problem. I have products that are over 5 years old- and every once in a while, I still use them 🎉
I still wear a Bourjois blush that I've had since the mid 80s, it doesn't smell and it never causes any rash or anything. Same as you if it doesn't smell or look different, I'm still wearing it. Mascara is probably the only thing I am cautious with but even then some are way past 3 months.
The date is to sell more products. There is no way on earth I can finish a blush in 1 year even if I only had 1 blush. I keep it and I’ve never had a blush turn bad on me.
My family just found out that my dad has an aggressive form of prostate cancer. It’s turned my world upside down. Something about watching you swatch and talk about blush, has been sooooo incredibly calming. Thank you. 💛🌻
It's crazy to think that in the 80s and 90s and a little beyond that I only used one blush, eyeliner, mascara and maybe had 4 neutral eyeshadows, one foundation and one powder (Mostly Clinique or Loreal). Now that we have access to so much affordable makeup and people willing to share info like this, I definitely have a broader assortment! I also am having fun using more color these days and I am in my late 50s. I really appreciate you sharing so much information about all the products you try!
I was the same Kimberly and I'll be 55 in July. I can say it was almost the same for me with Clinique but maybe not just L'oreal. I used to use a lot of Physicians Formula too. One of my favorite things from finding beauty RUclips is learning about Indy eye shadow. I love multi and duochromes. I think they're so cool. I also love being able to trust Jen and a few others on here on what's worth putting on my list and/or getting and what's definitely NOT! 🤪😊 Have a great weekend and big hugs, k 💗🫂
Tip to make your doe foot blushes last way past the “best by” date: never put the wand directly on your skin. Even freshly cleansed skin has bacteria that naturally lives on our faces. Buy a small cheap steel, glass, or plastic makeup palette. With all your products that you dip back into, just put makeup directly on the palette then use it. Bacteria will not get into your products and they’ll last soo much longer
You have an incredible makeup collection and I've said it before, but I'll say it again... Your declutters are my absolute favorite because you only get rid of products that are past their prime or that you really don't care for. You have such a good eye for color and your memory of formulas is beyond amazing! I love the comparisons and the feedback you give. This was a huge accomplishment to get through all your blushes to declutter. And lastly, I kind of want to go get the blush Mel recommended just because it was her. She has a special place in soooo many hearts, including mine. She is an angel who was taken much too soon!
I didn't purchase TinyMarvels when it 1st came out bc I wasn't sure I'd be able to utilize the entire color story. However, after Mel's passing, I bought it the 1st chance I got. I figured, if I were to ever dabble outside of my comfort zone, I couldn't go wrong doing it with something designed and recommended by Mel. Happy to say that I've actually gotten way more use out of the palette than I would've initially guessed. Mel will always be missed. Her passing left a permanent void in the beauty space.
@@TheMunchkinita2509 oh I love her pallet, I’m thinking of getting another one during their sales, mine is almost 3 years old and I don’t think I should be using expired eye shadow…I’m getting rid of my pallets that are older and I bought quite a few of them cause you know I was influenced 😂😂 I’m trying to be more practical and saving my money for skincare. I also love mixing them and creating my own colors … I have 6 shades (Hope, Bliss , Encourage, Grace , Happy and Believe ) they’re all my favorite hahahaa
It never ceases to amaze me how we keep buying the same colors, or close to colors over and over again. I’m not a RUclipsr, but for a single person I have so much I finally told my daughters and granddaughters to come over and grab some stuff, especially with eyeshadows I started pulling out, pallets, and even the new pallets to come out. I promise I can pull out a pallet that has the same colors. They’re just not all in the same pallet which is convenient but at the same time how much money am I spending on cosmetic’s. And I just bought the Ccolor, cosmetics, new blush sticks, which are awesome
My sister, son and daughter get my declutter and everything they don't want is donated. I don't mind so much when I know it's going to a good home. Things rarely stick around long enough to expire x
I'm disciplining myself to use up what I buy before I buy more, with very few exceptions. Better for my budget and the environment. Also, I seldom buy palettes because I don't feel they're a good value. They usually contain at least 1 color I wouldn't use. And I only use matte eye shadow, and most palettes have several shimmer or glitter shades. One exception is the Smashbox Cover Shot Mattes palette, which is designed with 2 big pans of base colors.

Thanks for the video, Jen! 74!!!! That's a lot of testing. Although I have dry skin, I prefer powder blush because I just can't seem to apply creams where I want them to go. Also, as I think you mentioned in this or another video, cream blushes can lift up foundation underneath them. Shockingly, I own only 2 blushes: L'Oreal True Match Superblendable in Baby Blossom (cool pink), and a travel size of the Nars Orgasm which I wanted to try. The L'Oreal blush is a good workhorse product. It even goes over my skin well when I'm not wearing foundation. The Orgasm blush is a little dark and peachy for me; I'm going to wear it this summer when I'll have more natural color. Also, I think it would clash with the mauve and berry colored lipsticks I usually wear in cold weather. As with so many things with makeup, it comes down to personal preference. I guess that's why there are so many products on the market.
I live for blush videos. Your declutter = new blush purchased for me. But after watching you talk about the ones that have expired I know I will have a lot that definitely need to go.
Hi Jen, I purchased the Kiko blush and can’t wait to use them. I bought the bright pink and then #2 which is a really pretty peach. They are just so pretty. 🌷🌷
Really love this video, I’ve only worn cream blushes since I’m a teenager because I have a weird patch of skin on my cheek that doesn’t grab powder! So everything looks patchy, but not creams 😊. I live in Europe though and we have like 1/4 of all your options in America, so jealous 😢
I am on the verge of 68 and I have enough blush to last me forever but I can't resist a new find lol.😍 I only use affordable brands so that is how I convince myself it's OK to get another 😂
Gosh..74 didnt make the cut!! I've never even had that many in my life!! But I agree with others, I think dates are for shops to rotate stock...clean dry powders seem to last forever, but creams can sometimes separate, go funny smelling or dried out and goopy, etc..so thats when I'd toss them, but I've had creams for years as well without issues.
I just finished a nice long bath and a blush declutter video w/u Jen!!!! Perfect timing 😉 Your collection is very versatile; but it is your job after all. I had some of the ones mentioned, and now I want some more. Just like you, I love blush lol! Can’t wait until the next one 💄❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Full watch 😌💕 this was so satisfying and I really enjoy / appreciate all the swatches ♥️♥️♥️ you put so much effort into your videos! Love them so much 🥰
Wow, this video was a lot of work. You really did your homework with this one. Thanks for the great info. You really helped me making a decision on my next purchase. I always trust your transparency and honesty with any product.
I’m looking forward to the powder blush roundup. I realized creams and liquids aren’t for me and powders work better. I just need to find ones that blend seamlessly and last over oily rosacea skin.
Just give me that whole bucket Jen lol my eyes got wide 👀 haha yes, I have a blush and bronzer addiction and I'm ok with that! Great content like always!!
I'm a powder blush girl except for CT. I had two of them explode on me. No more buying CT. I collect blushes. I collect makeup. I ran my charge up to $10,000. I'm in big trouble. Love your videos. So economical. Btw, you are beautiful
It is so hard for me to think of you getting rid of all that beautiful makeup Jen. 😢 But I enjoyed myself 😇 I like that you talk about them and swatch them. But your poor hand! 🤗
I gasped at that Armani blush, I think it's discontinued which is a good thing because I have way too many blush! If you can find a dupe for that beauty.... hooboy, you'd be my BFF! That is my dream color. This was a great video, it kept me distracted during my workout today, LOL!
Cheek heat made me think i hated liquid blush bc it was the first one i ever tried and just recently I realized I love luquid/gel blush! Cheek heat was so patchy on me. I even love a liquid blush i got at the dollar tree! Its from LA colors it's called tainted love and its the best pink and it just sinks into my skin and looks so pretty! 😊
Great video and so helpful! I’ve had to limit myself to one color from the various brands I want to try because there are so many great brands like you showed here!
I knew makeup revolution had the eybright concealers cuzni have them! Even a darker one for contour, i bought that one when tik tok said it was a dupe for the CT contour wands! Lol! 🙌 but i didnt know they had the highlighters like that! That pink one is really pretty tho!!!!!
Hi Jen, just saw Beauty Bay has a 4 liquid blush vault on sale for about $9 each. Are these dupes for the Juvia's Place blushes. Love those. Thanks for this big review; so many great tips!
Good informative video. Thx happy to hear mally mentioned, loveher and her products are great auality, and shwasalways so innovative. Shes no longer carried at ulta tho😅thx agaain for video linda😊😊

So hard to have a huge collection because of products expiring! And we tend to gravitate towards the same shades! I'm like you, i rather have a creamy blush that dries down, don't like sticky or greasy!
Jen, have you tried the Rose Inc cream blush? Wayne Goss swears by it so I went to look at the colors & they had a lot of cool toned shades that made me think of you. They are a bit spendy but of course would last, let me know if you’ve tried them & love them, if so I’ll give them a try! Thanks ❤ also- LOVED this video, ordered several things that have become instant favorites & also saved this video for reference!
U have all the Moira blushes!!!!! 😱😍 i only have 1! I Miss You, and like i said, its gorgeous! Def one of my fave of all my blushes! But i do have a lot of faves and i love blush so....theres that. 🤷♀️😆🙌💜
Would you consider doing a nude blush Roundup video for us? I'm really wanting to add some more nude natural blushes to my collection for work and don't know where to start or what to get
Do you have a ideally low cost dupe for the Doll10 You’re making me blush - cream blush? They no longer sell it and I use it almost every day. I tried elf Maui, but it’s more pink and way tooooo glittery and emphasizes texture. Hoping you still have it in your stash to check. Also what about the Moira liquid blushes? You had gotten pr but didn’t swatch them all. Would love to see the lilac radiant finish blush. Still looking for a low cost Lilac blush and don’t want Honest Beauty.
OMG Jen, where did you get 200 blushes? 1 blush will last me for a year or more,so I am very clean using and applying it.Bought a second blush from Sephora last month,so have a total of 2.
Jen has 200 blushes. Jen while swatching ..hmmm I swear I had another one..HOW DO U REMEMBER!! Lol. I’m only halfway thru the video. But I clicked on Amazon for the Kiko Milano stick blushes so fast! This is gonna be a spendy video for me. I love blush!
Hmm that's a tough one! Maybe the Maneater Plump ones...they're great for everyday and they have a little glow but not as much as the Blush Tape wands. :)

Love watching your collection and how well you go through them. Thanks Jen ☺️❤
I don’t use cream or liquid blush but I’m always up for a declutter!
I live for blush videos. Your declutter = new blush purchased for me. But after watching you talk about the ones that have expired I know I will have a lot that definitely need to go.
I am SO tempted to pick up those Kiko stick blushes!!!! I do not need any more blush, but they look delicious!
Same here Vicky I’m heading to Ulta for a couple of Kiki stick blushes. Even though I really don’t need any more.
I believe Kiko is only sold on line
Hi Jen, I purchased the Kiko blush and can’t wait to use them. I bought the bright pink and then #2 which is a really pretty peach. They are just so pretty. 🌷🌷
Hey Jen it’s so hard to choose when they look good
As you said if they are hard to swatch it’s time to go ❤
Really love this video, I’ve only worn cream blushes since I’m a teenager because I have a weird patch of skin on my cheek that doesn’t grab powder! So everything looks patchy, but not creams 😊. I live in Europe though and we have like 1/4 of all your options in America, so jealous 😢
Your declutters are amazing I love long, detailed declutter about all the products ❤🎉
I am on the verge of 68 and I have enough blush to last me forever but I can't resist a new find lol.😍 I only use affordable brands so that is how I convince myself it's OK to get another 😂
You go girl! The more the merrier and you live only ONCE 😊
This helped me identify good products but *also* learn how to evaluate blush products in general! thank you!
Wow🎉🎉❤, great very large candid review on blushes‼️ Ty.
Your poor hands! Thank you for all of the work and all of the information! Looking forward to the powder version! 💗
Can’t wait for the powder blushes!! ❤
I love blush!!!!! I have so much that I’m going to have to start wearing it from head-to-toe everyday to make a dent in my collection. 😂😂😂
Hallo Jen, Wow! nice to get things under control. Thank you for talking about them as you go, helps a lot.
Wow that purlisse nudey color is so stunning especially for a no makeup type of day
Exactly!! Love that one!
Full watch 😌💕 this was so satisfying and I really enjoy / appreciate all the swatches ♥️♥️♥️ you put so much effort into your videos! Love them so much 🥰
Love how thorough you are!! I also love your declutters!
I usually hate declutters, but I do like yours, Jen! ❤😊
Wow, this video was a lot of work. You really did your homework with this one. Thanks for the great info. You really helped me making a decision on my next purchase. I always trust your transparency and honesty with any product.
Thank you for swatches and for the thorough information on each product! Great video❤️❤️
I purchased a set of 6 or 8 of the Doll10 cream blushes on your recommendation and I have never needed another cream blush since 🥰
The CG ones came out right before covid in 2020!!! Sooo pretty. So sad they got rid of them
I’m looking forward to the powder blush roundup. I realized creams and liquids aren’t for me and powders work better. I just need to find ones that blend seamlessly and last over oily rosacea skin.
That LA Colors dusty pink blush is so pretty. Why can’t companies come out with more unique shades?
SO excited for this! 🎉 I need to do one of these, as well! 💗
This was so satisfying to watch.. great declutter
Let's goooo! Love the long ones! Can't wait for part 2! Woo woo!😊
There’s a part 2?😮 I thought she just did it all in this video? lol
Just give me that whole bucket Jen lol my eyes got wide 👀 haha yes, I have a blush and bronzer addiction and I'm ok with that! Great content like always!!
i just looove blushes...i had to do it in parts, but i watched the whole video, couldnt miss a bit!!!
I'm a powder blush girl except for CT. I had two of them explode on me. No more buying CT. I collect blushes. I collect makeup. I ran my charge up to $10,000. I'm in big trouble. Love your videos. So economical. Btw, you are beautiful
love your declutters. i can only dream of having a makeup collection as expansive as yours 🥹
They carry Palladio at our local sallys. A wide variety of products too!
I’m so excited! I love long videos
Those colorpop blushes in the beginning would make pretty eyeshadows
Yay! Perfect timing and just the content I need rigiht now. Thank you, Jen!
This was epic Jen and really helpful!! Thanks so much!!
It is so hard for me to think of you getting rid of all that beautiful makeup Jen. 😢 But I enjoyed myself 😇 I like that you talk about them and swatch them. But your poor hand! 🤗
Wow those Kiko blush stick looks great . . I feel they would be SO smooth and super BLURRING on the skin 🎉
They are!! They're seriously my new favorite blush. 😍
I gasped at that Armani blush, I think it's discontinued which is a good thing because I have way too many blush! If you can find a dupe for that beauty.... hooboy, you'd be my BFF! That is my dream color.
This was a great video, it kept me distracted during my workout today, LOL!
Great video, loved seeing all the swatches. Thank you ❤
Thank you. Big job! Discovered four blushes/shades I will try 🙏
I do love the new juvia's place blushes! I even like those blushes better then rare beauty blushes.
Fyi! The hard candy lip + cheek tint is still available at least at Wal-Mart! I just bought some the end of this last year, 2022. So month ago!
And they were new to me then!
Declutters are my fave. Thank you fir a long video
What a great video Jen! Thank you!
Loved your bracelet! Where did you get it??😘😘
Thank you! I got it while on vacation and I'm not sure of the manufacturer unfortunately! 😥
That colourpop supershock blush!!!!
Appreciate all the information and swatches!
jen I love these videos never missed any you have uploaded the only down side is I always see something I like and end up buying it or something similar can't help my self 😊xx
So hard to have a huge collection because of products expiring! And we tend to gravitate towards the same shades! I'm like you, i rather have a creamy blush that dries down, don't like sticky or greasy!
Woah😮 the juvias place is super pigmented 🤩
Jen, have you tried the Rose Inc cream blush? Wayne Goss swears by it so I went to look at the colors & they had a lot of cool toned shades that made me think of you. They are a bit spendy but of course would last, let me know if you’ve tried them & love them, if so I’ll give them a try! Thanks ❤ also- LOVED this video, ordered several things that have become instant favorites & also saved this video for reference!
I have the I miss you shade from Moira and it is gorgeous!
Tarte has to be my favorite cosmetics company. ❤❤❤
Me too. I really like the concealer from Tarte.
U have all the Moira blushes!!!!! 😱😍 i only have 1! I Miss You, and like i said, its gorgeous! Def one of my fave of all my blushes! But i do have a lot of faves and i love blush so....theres that. 🤷♀️😆🙌💜
I used to look up batch codes on makeup products and I bought this Maybelline concealer from the dollar general and Walgreens
I love those tarte man eater blushes !
I picked up 3 Moira cream blushes n your recommendation. They became fast favorites.
Would you consider doing a nude blush Roundup video for us? I'm really wanting to add some more nude natural blushes to my collection for work and don't know where to start or what to get
Great idea!!
@@JenPhelps oh please do! I need help LOL
I agree!
I’d love one for each color family: Nude, mauve, pink, purple, etc.
@@seevanhawkins4591 that's a great idea it would really help
Ahhh, some of those are so pretty 💕
I been declutter items I've had for over while, been doing it slowly and replacing with items. Can't take the hit all at once
Blush declutter is my version of guilty pleasure
Do you have a ideally low cost dupe for the Doll10 You’re making me blush - cream blush? They no longer sell it and I use it almost every day. I tried elf Maui, but it’s more pink and way tooooo glittery and emphasizes texture. Hoping you still have it in your stash to check. Also what about the Moira liquid blushes? You had gotten pr but didn’t swatch them all. Would love to see the lilac radiant finish blush. Still looking for a low cost Lilac blush and don’t want Honest Beauty.
I got one of those purlisse cheekers in an ipsy. Mine doesn't seem to be as thin as the one you swatched.
Hi. Please tell me the powder blush video is coming soon? Xx
OMG Jen, where did you get 200 blushes? 1 blush will last me for a year or more,so I am very clean using and applying it.Bought a second blush from Sephora last month,so have a total of 2.
I don't like liquid cheek products at all, but I'll enjoy this video very much. Always like to know your opinions!
Which of the tarte blushes are your favorite…if you had to only keep one version, which would you keep?
Hmm that's a tough one! Maybe the Maneater Plump ones...they're great for everyday and they have a little glow but not as much as the Blush Tape wands. :)
@@JenPhelps thank you! I really appreciate your answer.
