- Our team traveled to Window Rock, Navajo Nation for the opening of the 25th meeting of the Council Chamber. The day started off with a walk from the Navajo Museum to the Capital to remember the over 5,000 missing and murdered indigenous women during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We spoke with delegates, survivors, and community members about their plans for the coming legislative session, their goals and difficulties, and asking the question; What Makes You Feel Safe?
May God bless you and watch over you let your voice be heard much love to you ❤
There are volunteer groups of people who go out with their search-and-rescue dogs, sometimes just to practice and train. Perhaps they could be invited to different parts of Indian Country to help recover some of the missing.
Every ethnicity and community has generational trauma from Sexual Violence.
we all must overcome and heal.
My family now has generational trauma too.
the defendant:
CSC#3. registered sex offender for life
felony charge
will be tried in federal court
assault took place on tribal lands
by a tribal member
Many males that assault women have had the same thing done to them
he will go to a federal prison
where he belongs
Indigenous communities need to heal from within.
end the generational trauma by healing NOW
Stop talking to your kids about the past trauma
find your own peace'.
the middle age folks need to clear the trauma
so it doesn't affect their children and grandchildren.
Think 7 generations ahead
Do you want your future offspring to still be dealing with the trauma that you are currently trying to heal from now?
I bet not
No una mas!
