For anyone with this code keep in mind it can be the MAF, fuel filter or pressure regulator also. - Unplug the MAF with the vehicle running, if it dies the sensor is good. - you will need to move on to fuel pressure reading. You can rent/loaner a fuel psi tester kit at most auto parts stores. With the vehicle running the fuel psi should be above 44psi. If not change the fuel filter, pressure regulator (in fuel pump assembly and the pump strainer.
I have the same car but i experience rough idle from the moment car is on. I think my issue is the pcv valve stuck open. Im losing a lot of oil too. My tmobile sync up picked up the p0171 one day my car stalled. Thats how i know. It stalled while being idle for 10-20 minutes
If your corolla has DRL with the high beam, the LED lights will flickers. You will have to buy anti-flicker canbus adapter. www.lasfit.com/products/lasfit-2x-9006-9005-led-headlight-kit-canbus-resistor-anti-flicker-canceller-capacitor?_pos=2&_sid=b0011dce3&_ss=r (code EAZIDIY15 and get 15% off) or www.auxito.com/collections/9005-led-headlight-bulb/products/9005-canbus-adapter?rq=yr_2010~mk_Toyota~md_Corolla~tm_~ml_High%20Beam%20-%20Off-road%20Use (code EAZIDIY and get 15% off)
Hi, my engine runs normal after replacing the pvc hose. I don't have a check engine light on my dash but I have a portable scanner that picked the P0171 code up.

@@eazidiy Thanks
You are welcome
The changed hose is called, "Fuel Vapor Feed hose"
You are correct. Thanks
How do you check the solenoid?
I never checked the solenoid valve in the video. You could check by using a hand vacuum pump to test if the valve can hold a vacuum.
Thanks you so much!👍👍👍
You are welcome
Where do you buy another vacuum tube?
Autoparts store. I got mine from Autozone.
Thanks I will look
Alright, you are welcome
U never showed the result of the fix

Does the code still Come up after replacing
No! The code was gone
cool
Thanks
Unmeasured air.
You are correct
@eazidiy high vacuum at idle, short term fuel trim should be compensating for the unmeasured air l think.
Not much knowledge about repairing, that much crack wont do anything
Cracks in tubes will cause air to enter the vacuum lines especially when the tubes are hot.
