My parents had a Ted William's tent camper bought at a Sears-Roebuck in Cleveland. What great family traveling times the 4 of us had. The 60's were simpler times. I miss those years.
Straight and to the point: Look at the (old) green. Yuk! Your honesty adds an element of humor to your R.V. video. That green was a yuk color too, back in the day.
🇺🇸 Everyone should visit Elkhart, Indiana to see the R.V. Hall of Fame. Elkhart County has one of the best County Fairs in the United States also. A safe place in the Hartland of America.
Enjoyed. Nice to see the old RVs. Neat museum. A camper type for everyone. Wow, $41 a night, bit high to me, esp when they are getting some free advertising. Ty, and be safe. 😊👍
The museum was wonderful! Those antique campers. Wow! Thanks for bringing us. Who'd have thought there was anything to see in Indiana? Also, almost everyone I know has been to Four Corners--AZ,NM,UT,CO. But you're the first person I know who's been to THREE corners. 8^)
Thanks for stopping and showing the three state marker. Used to live right around the corner from there. You got there in the right time of year, usually the dirt road going North is a mud bog.
That museum is neat, Russ, and I'm not even an RVer. Glad you decided to visit. 14:50 That Ford Model AA Housecar Tennessee Traveler had me thinking of a mobile still for avoiding revenuers while delivering product direct to customers. Fresh-to-market without any wholesaler! 17:50 The Hunt Housecar looks like something out of the old 1930s Flash Gordon serials starring Buster Crabbe. 21:57 Something for those of us who are railfans! The motor home immediately following the Star Streak II has the motif of a heavyweight observation/business railroad passenger car, complete with rear platform and clerestory roof. Very imaginative; has to be a one-off. Definitely way-cool. Thanks again, Russ, see you next video.
We visited there about 10 years ago and really enjoyed it. So much fun seeing the history of RVing. We have owned motorhomes continuously since 1979. We spent the night in their parking lot. Kind of interesting about the rules back then and not sure if they are different today.
They all look alike to me. Cornfields, humidity, oh yeah, and more cornfields, and $10. Humid I know I used to live in Ill. I liked the RV show. Did you know you just saved your viewers $10.00 each, thanks, Russ.
Nice to see you so far north.. Near Michigan 👍🏻👍🏻 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻That museum 😀 Russ look up the AIR ZOO Aerospace and science museum 👍🏻❗ Near Kalamazoo. Michigan. Airplane museum. 😄 You'll thoroughly enjoy. Be amazed. THEY HAVE A S R - 7 1 BLACK BIRD on display 👍🏻😳😳
I wonder if the mayor knew rver tv was in town? I think I could spend hours in there admiring the craftsmanship of those old rigs. Unlike most of the junk they make today. Thanks for the tour!!!!
🙋♀️Hello Russ! Thoroughly enjoyed Seeing Elkhart Museum & Library. $10.00 well spent. I loved the aerial view looking down, seeing the fields after being mowed, raked, & baled. Those huge round bales wrapped in white, always reminded me of huge marshmallows. Being in Amish Country, I'm sure you'll be able to enjoy a good home cooked meal. I think you have a really nice Campground to stay in tonight. Hope you get a good nights rest. Enjoy some "me" time for a chance. 😊👍
I was metal detecting an old 1800s site in Michigan recently and found a stamped brass buggy emblem that said "ELKART Carriage &Harness Mfg. Co, Elkart, Ind". One of my coolest finds this year.
Nice, interesting video, the rv hall of fame is now on my like to visit list. I noticed, at minute 28.46 you can see on the right lower side the spot, were thor-industries shoots their comercial rv videos, ha ha.
Welcome to Indiana Russ, been watching your videos for a long time, really enjoy them, we've been Michigan many times along Lake Michigan the towns and the lake are fabulous, very interested in where you go now since we have been there too, travel safe
Great Vid again as usual Russ and Thanks! Ya have a really good narrators voice and remind me at times of the amazing college football commentator Keith Jackson !
I live in Mishawaka which is about 15 miles from elkhart at one point in the 90s there were hundreds of rv factories in elkhart most of them owned by warren buffett
8:00 - the fins are cool..retro cool. Kind of why i love to look at Airstreams (But i only need a Bambi - any rig or traler over 25 feet is just to darn big for my needs "simplify"
When you went to the RV museum I was hoping that they were going to have some campers in other words what you would put on the back of a pick up truck but I guess I didn’t
8:25 - I've seen ones like that at the old Vet Stadium, they roll up around 7AM to start "the tailgat for the 'birds'. (secret: many simply go back to the RV and sleep it off, they took off mondy to recoup..Eagles fans are, well, "fully involved", as it were...to the point that the new Cit Bank Stadium is the only NFL stadium in the entire united states with a jail in the basement and has a judge on duty during games. Think about the people that need that service ...over football! (but it's not uncommon to see 15-20 green adn silver/white trailers in the parking lot around, adn far from, the stadium. Some just park to watch the game on TV in the parking lot. an odd bunch.
My Grandfather built the FIRST RV Camper trailer & refused to sell the idea to Decio so Decio just took pictures & the rest is history. I would be filthy rich if my Grandpa wasn't so stubborn as he got ripped off anyway, that's life.
My parents had a Ted William's tent camper bought at a Sears-Roebuck in Cleveland. What great family traveling times the 4 of us had. The 60's were simpler times. I miss those years.
That 3-State marker is definitely a hidden gem.

The 3 state marker was cool!! Museum is pretty neat!! Stay safe...
Didn't realize a museum for RV's and travel trailers. So many choices a person could make on buying a trailer. Enjoyed the video. Thank you.

RV Hall really got me thinking of space shuttle tiles. Far infrared could easily insulate. Material is in winter jackets.

I stayed at that campground with Sisters on the Fly. Nice campground. I love my home-base of Marblehead too!
Nice to see you so far north.. Near Michigan 👍🏻👍🏻

🙋♀️Hello Russ! Thoroughly enjoyed Seeing Elkhart Museum & Library. $10.00 well spent. I loved the aerial view looking down, seeing the fields after being mowed, raked, & baled. How odd that the RV museum has no space for overnighting in an RV. Great video Russ.
They used to allow boondocking.

"simplify"
That was COOL!

I think you can boondock in the parking lot. I liked Charles Lindbergh's trailer.
Good video. 😊👍
Woo hop come north to Cheboygan
10:45 - I'lltake that Jayco, cash. nearly perfect. If it fits "the preto" (the 80/20 rule) then it works.
I will give you a hint...you never get used to the humidity.
Have you checked out the latest weather update of where you're headed? eeek!
8:25 - I've seen ones like that at the old Vet Stadium, they roll up around 7AM to start "the tailgat for the 'birds'. Great video

That is not the TV show, Go Rving is the marketing arm of the rv industry
So, Russ how did you like Indiana? 😀
My Grandfather built the FIRST RV Camper trailer & refused to sell the idea to Decio so Decio just took pictures & the rest is history. I would be filthy rich if my Grandpa wasn't so stubborn as he got ripped off anyway, that's life.
I didn't see Jack Rebney lol 🤣
Hey Russ!!! Don't be "PUTTING" "THE BEAST" Into "HALL OF FAME" " YET"!!! Be Safe!!!
