      @@AsrielKujo most people slow it down by quite a bit lol. original tempo markings for many of the chopin etudes are just insane, including this one.

      ​@@AsrielKujo It's not; the Paderewski edition says 120 bpm. He is playing roughly twice that speed.

    Chopin's "Paganini" Etude! THIS is how to play this Etude - amazing how there is a world of difference between those that play this etude well and the very few who have the poetry and artistic vision to realize what Chopin implies in these miniatures. This performance clearly shows Dang Thai Son is in the latter category.

      Daniel Che It's actually only mostly a stretch of a tenth in the L.H.(from pinky to thumb) but still, pretty hard.

    I like his playing a lot but this is the first piece where I felt he was a standout in all respects. A really stellar performance

      I think it's more his left shoulder and elbow he keeps low to avoid any tension in his wrist?
