- REACTING to Isaac Butterfield ROAST Me
I made a video listing 10 Things I "Hate" about Australia. It got lots of attention in the Australian news and Isaac Butterfield made a video about it. Here is my reaction to his video.

Like a true Aussie you take it in stride! A very 'No worries, mate' attitude!
You're not an Aussie until you can laugh about someone taking the piss out of you.
100% agree m8. He did well. But I've noticed that about him in heaps of his vids. Reckon he's worth an honorary Aussie scout badge. ;)
Isaac butterfield is awesome
And I'm an Aussie
Mate….just stop…just stop pls
He's moved on from roasting Healthy Emmie to you, you should feel extremely privileged! 😂😂😂
Haha I do a bit. I have some more videos like “weird things about Australians” that he could react to
@@TristanKuhn well it sounds like you wanted him to roast you more, be careful what you wish for! 😆
Maybe mention you're a vegan cyclist in a new video, that will help lol.
Hahaha 😂
@@TristanKuhn I wish you would get the fuck out of our country.
@@lolcakes97 That's a bit unfair.
Tristan you’re far too kind. As an Aussie who’s watched a few of your videos, it’s pretty obvious you love our country! You’ve also taken the time to really get to know us in detail. Your response shows your character... you’ve got class ;-)
You’re always welcome here :-)
i agree , i searched this up after i saw the original isaac vid haha
@@TopGgamingclan He’s a lovely guy 🙂
Class is a word you certainly wouldn't use for Isaac Butterfield.
No no no fairy bread is everyone’s childhood
Yea thats why its so sacred, doubt anyone eats it as a adult but its def nostalgic reminiscing on lil timmys 7th birthday
Not mine... srry
@@limecat7996 Occasionally I see hundreds and thousands in the supermarket and go 'fuck it, I'm having fairy bread'
@@limecat7996 ...my dad served fairy bread at his 70th...and him and his boys say at the bar scoffing it....you're never t Ok old for fairy bread...but it better an hour o r so after you make it.
Not really everyone's childhood as i was born in another country and we did not have it there but when i moved here to this beautiful country i ate it and it was the best thing i ate tbh 👌🏻👌🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Mate feel privileged - if you were a nobody he would have not even bothered - Feel the love - It's an aussie thing
That’s exactly how I feel
I was going to to say the same thing I really enjoy your videos
Cameron Free I was going to write the same thing👍 and yep feel the love ❤️🤣😂🤣 ✌️
@John Gilmore he is a comedian he gotta make his videos interesting and if you don't like it fuck you to the Mooooooooooooooooooooooooon
This is just like a group of mates drinking beer and taking the piss, it's just a game of insults, trying to outdo each other by trying to shock each other with ever-more outrageous jokes. Not meant to be taken seriously, sooks not welcome, bugger off if you take a joke.
Fairy bread is a kids speciality, adults usually don't eat it. But.
Every Australian has eaten fairy bread as a kid, whether they loved it or hated, we've all eaten it.
Its a classic in a way that vegemite isn't. Vegemite is something people eat daily, fairy bread is something you eat during a kids 5th birthday party, it's special.
Peace!
Makes sense. Thanks for letting me know
I had a house mate years ago who often acted like a five year old so for his birthday we gave him a kids birthday party with fairy bread, saveloys, sausage rolls etc. The fairy bread was eaten first - everyone loved it. None of them were under 30 years old!
I will eat it as an adult if I have 0 sweets in my house and I feel like sweets
Buck Bumble Boomstein l don’t know about adults don’t eat it, personally my kids (all grown) and myself still love our fairy bread 😂😂😂
@@lynnetrathen4587 yeah fairy bread is awesome! I still eat it too
Isaac likes you. He was almost laughing at his own jokes. It's all fun and games :)
Indeed. :D
Tracey Stent lol
Fuck you
Ok
It’s not. Fuck off
Hi mate, as an aussie I love your vids! Being roasted by Isaac Butterfield is a mark of honour!
Thanks. I think it's an honor too haha
Any publicity is good publicity hahaha
Really ? his comedy is pretty crass and not exactly cerebral or that funny, I guess if you like gutter comedy it might be.
Issac is like the Aussie icon in RUclips you should be honoured
I agree
You cant forget the true blue LAXARBEAM!

Sneks Smeks lazarbeam is annoying now
@@ohceedee4100 meh, I sometimes watch his streams when Im boref
I was laughing so hard this entire video lmaooo he called you out on never wearing a shirt, that’s so accurate 🤣
If you've got it, flaunt it. I bet Tristan breaks a few hearts.
No, don't flaunt it because being too cocky is generally quite unattractive.
...But Australia is indeed a very hot place, so it does often behove one to eschew a shirt.
Really !?, not even funny.
Tristan: A lot of 16 and 17 year olds don’t have beards”
Me: Clearly you ain’t never been to my school
Me: And the boys were even worse!
tvsinesperanto true I’m only 14 and I already got a goatie
All the 7th graders got moustaches
I'm 17 and I have a goatie, a moustache, chin hairs, etc.
Your ugly and a piece of sh**
Yeah, a vid like that was always gonna get his attention 🤣 But he's also fully aware that there will be many Aussies like me who search out that clip but then subscribe and watch everything.
I’m happy you judged me for more than just that one video haha. Happy to have you as part of the channel! 😃
Yeah tristan would have got a lot more followers from that news clip and from isaac who never disappoints when it comes too putting shit on someone
Glad you replied in a positive manner. It will increase his ratings and your ratings. Keep up the interest dialog and the great videos they are always interesting. He does curse a lot.
I’m dying Tristan most of the time he agreed with you he was sarcastic
I thought that too. But Isaac exaggerates a shit ton and he knows when he does it. I’m pretty sure it’s just a joke anyway.
Congrats on 69 likes
Yeah but he was still agreeing with him though, on some. Not all ahaha
take it as a compliment...Issac roasted u 😂
Hahahahaha
Na, Isaac being the legend he is always gets both sides of the story, thats why more people listen to him than all the politicions in Aus combined
I want to see Isaac react to U reacting to Him reacting to U
And then he'll react to Isaac reacting to him.
Yessssss
Tristan, wear it as a badge of honour. Not many people get the privilege of Isaac's funny commentary
Since when has a Kit Kat been $1.00 in an Australian servo
Fucken cheap servo bruh
Caltex sometimes have chocolates on sale for $1 or $2... I got a cherry ripe a few weeks ago for $1...
Maybe back in the 80’s
Yeah that was good Tristan. You're a good guy.
Thx 😊
The turning left on a red light thing, you can do that here in some places if there is a sign that says you can. I know in NSW it's a thing at least.
Wrong on these: Some Servos (Petrol Stations) actually have pay at the pump, I have done it for a few times. Turning on Red is allowed some parts of Australia but not many. The reason is mainly because a lot of people dont even know how to use them properly. Like they dont know how to use turning lanes, or roundabouts etc or what white lines on the roads mean. lol There use to be refills but people were abusing the system. As charging for condiments, is because of the packets cost a lot of money, when I had a business I never charged for it but I used a sauce bottle, which is cheaper way of doing it.
Hi Mav, well see, what happened was when we have a pie and stick the nozzle of the bottle in, it was leaving pie on the nozzle, and that was getting touched up by flies, and that was handing out food poisoning like 4-day old perry winkles, so i will take it easy and just say Bravo.... but salmonella killed more Aussies than Covid and that's a fact.
@@giovannigiorgio4622 haha a lot of people put it on top of the pies and dont inject it onto the pie. Believe or not mate, I actually use to clean the bottle / nozzle after each use and getting pie on your sauce bottle is doing it wrong. I notice most people use to injected it wrong and I explain how to do it. That was 11 years ago now probably forgotten how now lol
It’s literally all fun and games, he was almost laughing at his own jokes 😂 me, as an Australian literally I am dying for the both of you 😂😂😂
Have to say as an Aussie I eat Vegemite, NOT fairybread!
Issac butterfield is the representation of every Australian
💯
Yeah, he is a fair representation of a young Aussie bloke
Yeah nah
Speak for yourself.
Not me. He represents himself.
Isaac can be a bit harsh mate. He comes after everyone. He's a comedian. Don't take anything he says too seriously. He's just very extra. Btw his three in a row was sarcasm about the sauce. And yes, the stupid flys are fucking annoying. Vegemite is an icon but secretly most of us thinks it's gross to. Please tell no one I exposed us lmao. And Fairy bread was every Aussie child's first love.
Hahaha. And thanks for letting me know
Side note:
Kath and Kim are the most Australian Australians
Sadly.
No way 🤮

The mum comment was too far but the rest of the the video is basically taking the piss (saying things in jest). We also roasts friends. I’m Aussie and love your videos. He’s basically ribbing you.
When he dissed fairy bread my heart dropped
We done mate the best thing that could happen to your channel
You seem to have tough enough skin to take a roast from the legend Isaac, that’s a tick on your citizenship test if you ask me
Hahaha yes! I’ll include that in my application haha
@@TristanKuhn Bloody oath. Rock up in ya pluggers and a blue singlet and ya in.
Passed the first test mate.
I think it's illegal to show up to the citizenship test sober. Passing grade is at least a half a slab of VB. Trap for the uninitiated there.
You're welcome.
Tristan kudos to you for having a thick skin and just seeing this for what it is - comedy (his job), and nothing personal. You should go to one of Isaac's gigs, guarantee he would appreciate you coming along to say g'day!!! probably would buy you a beer :)
I’m Australian and I think your list was spot on, I’ve done a lot of travel in the US and I agree with all of your points, especially left on red. Not so sure about the sun because I’ve been burnt bad in the US.
I’m glad to hear!
How dare you betray us
We do have a version of left on red when it’s a left turning lane at a light that says give way instead of having a turning arrow light.
don't know if they still do but the NT used to have left on red
That was brutal , congratulations man , you have made it !🤣😅🤣👍👍
You guys should do a collaboration video !
In Australia at some intersections, you can turn left on a red light after stopping. Usually it is where there is a clear view of traffic on the right.
I'm Australian and love watching both of you, it's all in fun😉
And agreed about turning on left. It's a nonsense rule that we have because we're a nanny state. You make it quite clear that you should be able to do it when there's clearly no traffic, and he seems to completely ignore that.
As an Australian... well we pretty much do this all the time, poke fun at others for making our country look bad, then we ourselves shit on it equally as hard
Don’t worry it’s just that guy, As a fellow Australian I say that 90% of the population isn’t like him! So just don’t worry it doesn’t matter
What country you are from every one should like you because you are an amazing person,
I’m Aussie and i can pay at the pump and vegamite sucks but fairy bread is so yummmmm but you should have used butter not nutlex just for future reference
Me: gets trigger when he disses Fairy Bread.
Like that stuff is gold to an Aussies childhood
In some instances, you can actually turn left on red. But the road has to be specially marked so you know you can turn on red.
I just want to point out we actually do have some lights where you can turn left on red, I know we don't have many but we do have em.
Correct. There will be a traffic sign saying ’Left Turn On Red Permitted After Stopping’. We do have this in Australia but as you said not common.
@@Fish29077 yeah ive got one near me lol
The reason he used fairy bread and not Vegemite is because vegemite is probably only sold in 2-3 countries where as fairy bread you can make is anywhere in the world.
Aight you melted maccas soft serve imma give a warning since your new
YOU. DONT. TALK. ABOUT. FAIRYBREAD
It is the single most prized possession of any Australian it is enjoyed by all and tastes perfect
FAIRY BREAD IS A SACRED MEAL NOT JUST FOR KIDS BIRTHDAYS!😡
Isaac butterfield is a bloody legend
A very wise man once said, Tristan, is that you "should never judge Australia by Australians", and his name was Dame Edna Everage.
I think that explains just about enough, for all of us...*
*IB is just one initial short of Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
"Australias Pride and Joy"
That'd Be Steve Irwin.
Vegemite would be our signature "don't put half the damn jar on toast" delicacy.
When he says about the servos (gas stations for Americans) he was gonna say “we acctually have a day here and it’s called RUOK day, ARE U FUCKING ALRIGHT” but we acctually do have a day called ruok day
Tristan, are you sure that your accent is not fake and you are actually an Aussie? Brilliant stuff mate took on the chin like a man. I can absolutely guarantee you Isaac Butterfield would have a beer with you anytime, particularly if he saw this reaction. Spot on mate, I think you might be fair dinkum.
You can turn left on red in Australia, at selected intersections where it is specifically marked.
You're a great sport Tristan! It's a compliment to be roasted by Isaac, you took it exceptionally well :)
“Look at this” *face still has on facial hair* me:👁👄👁?
You weren't totally wrong about the hole in the ozone layer, but that was 35 years ago. Since banning chlorofluorocarbons in the 80s the hole has apparently repaired itself.
Part 2 just watched the part about fairy bread. Like cmon it is fairy bread. everyone has fond memories but we also eat it at least once a month. Fairy bread is like another unspoken aussie icon. Also the part about Issac not liking Vegemite is bullsh*t. Like if you have fond memories of times you ate fairy bread
I think he went after you for the fairy bread rather than the Vegemite is because with Vegemite you either love it or hate it , but with fairy bread EVERY Australian loves it
The turn on red light thing is more for pedestrians in Australia. We have the worst road sense. We see jay walking as a right so we pretty much play "chicken" when crossing the road. Most Aussies will walk against a red stop walking pedestrian sign even on busy roads & not even think about it. So while I do see the sense in being able to turn left on a red signal after you stop & check, pedestrians here are too unpredictable for that to be safe.
This is an old video, but just letting you know, a lot of Australians don't like vegemite, but almost all Australians love Fairy Bread
Vegemite is one of those things where quite a few of us understand that some people don't like Vegemite. I don't agree with the dislike it gets, but can understand that it is a very unique taste.
Yea I agree you took it in stride! As an American/ Aussie I know there are some things they do different here that Americans find annoying but really I am sure that there are things Aussie find annoying about America so fair is fair.
Is it a victoria thing that you can't turn left on a red light? In NSW there are plenty (where it's safe) of intersections that have a "left turn on red permitted after stopping" sign. Either that or there is a green arrow to turn left.
I'm a 13 year old Australian boy and I have had a beard since I was about 9 year old
We used to have way more pay at the pump. But they removed them due to the loss of in store sales.
Next video: Isaac Butterfield reacting to Tristan Kuhn reacting to Isaac Butterfield reacting to 10 reasons Tristan Kuhn hates Australia
in summer, when we fill up at the servo, we enjoy the aircon so we will go inside..............plus we'll probably be buying a ice cold drink of choco milk or something because its so hot
Self deprecating humour and "taking the piss" (playful teasing/insulting) is a thing Aussies and New Zealanders do. Chances are if Isaac Butterfield is roasting you (you can tell if an Aussie is doing a playful roast vs being actually pissed off) he probably thinks your'e an ok guy, especially if you give it back.
Well, 1. You didn't cry like a baby like Vaush 2. You took the roasts like water to oil (if I got that right) So I just know you're an OG.
OMG, I didn’t realize there were so many sensitive Australians, referring to all the hate you got when your video came out. I’m proud of America, but I know our flaws...and usually agree with others that point them out. 😁
Same here
Haha not sensitive.. You need to understand Aussie banter.. And Issac isn't being serious. Sarcasm and banter is something else here.. New Zealanders and Poms are able to understand this
B Funky LOL. That’s why I put in the second half of that first sentence...I wasn’t talking about Isaac. I already voice, in another comment, how much I enjoy Isaac’s humour and how much I liked his video. I was talking about the genuinely overly sensitive Australians...trust me, we have only sensitive Americans too.
Common Guys take it as the joke it is meant to be.
Wai too Low Banter and sarcasm aren’t what Tristan received.
There are plenty of traffic lights you can turn left at, you just have you ensure there's nothing coming. It states "you can turn with care".
I feel a bromance coming on. The best compliment an Aussie can pay you is to insult the fuck out of you.
Never understand why Americans seem so surprised that things are different when they travel to other countries. Isn’t that the whole point of travelling, to see and experience different things? Just stay where you are if you want everything to be the same.
Unless you're a vegan , a cyclist or a feminist he's roasting you because he likes you, helping to make you famous. Except healthy Emmie, she's a vegan and clearly Issac is besotted with her.
I’m Aussie BUT..... heres something that Aussies hate people doing......
EATING A WHOLE SPOONFUL OF VEGEMITE PLAIN! VEGEMITE IS MEANT TO BE SERVED WITH TOAST AND BUTTER AND A LITTLE BIT OF VEGEMITE. IF YOU TAKE A LOT OF VEGEMITE IT TASTES HORRIBLEEEEEEE.. If you eat a little but with toast and butter its amazing! Americans don’t know how to put Vegemite on. It really triggers me when people eat a WHOLE spoonful of Vegemite plain!
If I recall, the hole in the ozone layer story came about when there was a big push back around the mid 90's to ban CFC powered aerosols, claiming there was a hole 'developing' in the ozone layer and the aerosols would make it worse.
Our WiFi is slower than Slovakia, true story.
We used to have "Left Turn on Red" but there were too many accidents
Hey don't worry about Isaac mate, he's just joking around. You're always welcome here 👍🏻👍🏻
Just remember that he is taking the piss (messing with you) he over exaggerates for the comedy
Some Aussie won't even eat Vegemite but everyone loves fairy bread
I started watching your videos a couple of days ago and not because of Isaac Butterfield, although I do sometimes watch his videos too. He's great for a laugh. Then I remembered I had watched the one where he roasted you a while ago and I hadn't put the two together until I watched this. You took the roasting it in your stride and I'm impressed.
You were spot on with pretty much everything you said. You see, I was a kid in the 70's here in Australia and I've watched over the years as life and rules have become so much more controlling.
When I was a kid, we didn't have to wear bike helmets, that rule come about in the 1990's (I think) and I get that they save your life and if you are cycling on busy roads you should definitely wear them but it also should be by choice and not the threat of a fine if you don't wear one. Likewise when turning left on the red, that come about in the last 20 odd years.
You gotta respect the sun here. In the 70's they didn't push sunscreen and hats in those days and man, do I remember the nasty sunburn to this day, it's seared into my memory banks.
I hate flies with a passion ... hate them! And mosquitoes!! And our internet sucks, everyone's bitching about it. Fairy bread is something that's only eaten as a kid and mostly kids birthday parties.
I don't particularly like it now as an adult, but I loved it as a kid.
There was a time when the young lads (who worked at petrol stations and which created more jobs then) would run out and fill your petrol tank up for you without you having to step a foot outside of your car. That all began to change in the early 1980's. There was a time we didn't have to wear seat belts (though roads were a lot less busier then) and we were allowed to sit in the back of utes as they drove down the road. There was a time without speed cameras and when they first started using them they had to put up warnings like 'speed camera ahead', now they hide them in the back of four wheel drives parked on the side of the road, disguised behind bushes to snare unknowing car drivers who are driving a whole 3km over the speed limit and hit them with a $100 fine, $200 if you are more than 9km over and justifying their actions by saying 'it's too save lives' but everyone knows it's just revenue funding.
I have an American friend who lives in Houston Texas and she told me that when they started using hidden speed cameras everyone kicked up a fuss and they had to get rid of them. I wish we could do that here.
As for the Australian media, it's crap here. There is an editing technique called 'selection process' which can basically twist all sorts of manner of truths and even create mountains out of molehills. They love creating drama over basically nothing.
Good luck with the rest of your time here in Australia.
Hey! Thanks for checking out my videos. That's funny/cool how you saw Isaacs video about me and some of my videos without noticing the correlational haha. And yeah, they've tried implementing speed and light cameras in Texas but they had a lot of resistance so we don't have them (maybe a couple stop light cameras)
You handled this very well !! Hat off to you
Getting a response video from Isaac is how to get your citizenship. Welcome to FAHKIN STRAYA mate!
Tristan, mate, forget about fairy bread, try chocolate sprinkles on your sandwiches, you'll never look back.
completely cut out when Isaac explained the safety for mandated helmets
Fairy bread rocks, I’d say don’t knock it till you try it, but you’ve tried it now and it’s not for you which is totally fine.
Yes it’s usually a party staple food, but I know a lot of people that just eat it as a treat, my family love fairy bread and eat it as often as they eat Vegemite lol
Just for the record... The media never picked this up .. like at all. Here cause Isaac
I think with the sauce thing he was being sarcastic. Also he’s a comedian, don’t take everything seriously. It’s Aussie humour
:C I’m an Aussie mate what a shocker
Tbh not many ppl in Australia don’t like vegemite
So much of your footage is from cairns and it's great! I'm always like "hey I should just ride there and recreate that shot" lmao
Hahahaha! That was so fun to watch! Tristan is too cute, he can stay...
Bro if Isaac butterfield roasted me I’d be privileged to be roasted
I was WAITING for this! 😂😂😂😂
It took me a while because I’m currently traveling and I couldn’t find a good spot to record and I had other videos planned
We have green arrows or left turn safely sign. When u can't turn left at red light is because of it's obstructed view.
"Can't turn left on red", actually in New South Wales in some towns you can. For example, Newcastle. Yes it is absolutely annoying sitting on red when you have total clear view but cannot.
Speed cameras - yes an annoyance and do not really save lives, they steal money from us unfortunately.
WiFi - here it's total shit. Agreed.
Paying for tomato sauce with a meat pie used to be free and it is crap having to pay.
In Australia the Gas Station owner in most cases is not paid for the fuel sale by the Fuel company or if they are it is less than 1c per litre. The fuel companies force them to make all their money from those candy bars and drinks, including all the wages.
I honestly don't like having to pay inside mainly because I will end up buying a lot of stuff, mostly chewy or iced dare.
You can turn left or red in a lot of places
On Isaac's top shelf........Me Dic Stankz 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 More broken ribs from laughing, fuck it hurts.
