    This how all conflicts should be resolved.
    The world would be a much better place if people with conflicting views and kinda hate each other could actually sit down and have pretty good conversations like this and actually laugh with each other.
    In times like this where everyone is angry, bitter, depressed and full of hatred, real laughter and genuine conversations are a good thing to lift people up.

    • @drjme81
      @drjme81 2 года назад +12

      yeah once people just sit down and talk straight up trying to understand and accept others views, the humanity comes out. it's really nice to see, especially after all the thrashings these two have given each other online...dont get me wrong though, those thrashings both ways are funny AF lol

    • @lulzmoney99
      @lulzmoney99 2 года назад +1

      The reason why this doesn't happen in most cases is because one side usually knows they are wrong and that they will be exposed in a live conversation. People who are lying favor 1-way communication, where they can broadcast their lies without anyone calling them out and taking them off script. Lying is hard. It takes a lot of skill and it's very easy to get tripped up. Liars need to control the environment, they need to rehearse what they're going to say, they need to be able to do it in multiple takes, etc... They can't do this in a 2-way conversation. Anything that takes them off script is liable to expose them. This is why you don't see people sitting down and having rational conversations. Almost always, there is one side that wants to debate, and another side that offers excuses (i.e. the person that disagrees with me is racist so I won't talk to them). These people don't care about the truth. They are lying because their lies serve their interests, and they will go to extreme lengths to maintain their lies.
      On that note - if you don't know much about some topic, just look at which side wants to sit down and have a conversation and which side offers a laundry list of excuses. You can learn a lot by looking for things like this.

    • @jerrym1218
      @jerrym1218 2 года назад +2

      @@drjme81 exactly, an overall good time.
      People even learn things about each other that they don’t even realize first hand that they have in common too.

    • @jerrym1218
      @jerrym1218 2 года назад +1

      @@lulzmoney99 Yeah, things can get so distorted as time goes on, and depending on who has the power to harness historic and cultural documents and events, they can easily manipulate those stories to favor one side, and make another side look like they are crazy or just lying.
      The internet age is a scary time to be alive, things can get twisted, and people can be downright cruel to someone who isn’t even doing anything to them.
      It’s just a good thing to see two opposing sides sit down and actually have a civil discussion with one another and even have some laughs about things during their time talking.
      All we can do during all this is just observe from afar and take in the characteristics of the people we see, to get some sort of read on what they may be up too or really want from the grand scale of things.

Yes, she gets it out there and people thinking about it, but it's usually in a negative way and lots of people think "god I would never want to be one of them", so I have to disagree with her on that area. Veganism is a philosophy and from the perspective of moral philosophy it has an essentially watertight argument for it, as such it should be treated as philosophy and explained in this way.

      I honestly don’t care what you eat so I’m not trying to get you to go back to steak. But as far as philosophy and diet? It’s not sustainable, realistic or attainable for a majority of people.

In the western world for the vast majority of people that means not consuming any animal products as it is possible and practical to do so safely. For some people it may not be possible for them to be completely plant based given other factors, they can still be vegans provided they reduce the suffering their lifestyle causes in every way possible. There is no more bitterness and hatred caused by veganism than any other moral philosophy and all you have to do is fact check those two and everytime I have they've been spot on

    I agree with VB that it IS POSSIBLE to phase out meat totally and it would lead to a reduction in animal suffering.
    However.
    In doing so we would almost certainly irreversibly give near total control of our food supply to unaccountable global corporations.
    You can raise livestock on very marginal land, land unfit for crop growing, and produce a large amount of calories.
    The creations of food chemists that replace meat are produced in multimillion dollar labs and use proprietary genes.
    We are not simply talking about "ending animal cruelty" or "being vegan", it's a whole world structural change.

Also, assuming we all go vegan and no animal is killed, all living beings on earth will compete for the same food source and ukw? competitors cannot exist according to darwin and animals will go extinct as we r the smarter people or they evolve a killer instinct to hunt and kill humans(atleast that is my theory).

      Either veganism is perfect or you give it up. It's not like the human body can never get sick.

    Now, while she was at times looking like a deer in headlights with some of the questions, trying to answer some curve balls about pests etc, this was a respectable interview where both parties got across their view, and I think more people would be willing to listen to Tash and people like her if they did more of these interviews like this

      Yeah Tash definitely isn't one of the more intellectual vegan advocates, I could have answered those questions pretty easily and there are many popular vegan youtubers who would also do so quite easily. Don't think philosophy is her strong point

    I was surprised at how composed and eloquent she was in this interview. She is clearly an intelligent lass, it's just a shame her beliefs are portrayed in a different manner.
