Sir, there's another guy on RUclips who has a similar year Trans Am and his videos consist of him describing what he's trying to fix and how difficult it is, and how trying it is to own such a car. At other times they show him driving, slowly, in a straight line. Your 91 second video is more interesting than all his videos combined. Why? You can drive! That's what these cars are for, and how they're meant to be driven: aggressively, with pleasure! Thank you!
Haha, thank you good sir for the kind words, but I do appreciate people that put technical content and know-how online as it can be very helpful when living with these beauties!
I had so much fun driving my 72 formula 455 4sp. My buddy had gotten a 79 TA auto it was real nice handling car in it's time. I like 4sp better and it needs more power than stock. ;- )
I have an 80 T/A with Skip White Racing 383 Roller engine ✌🏻 Love the Trans Am’s. & Formulas ! Always had one since even being legal to drive as a teen. That’s just how it is ‼️
What is he ruining? Tires and clutches are expected to be replaced. He's slipping the clutch and not getting all that high in the revs so the already bulletproof 400 and 3.23 is hardly being exercised.
CoolCarMan He’s right. ‘79 TA’s always been one of my top 3 favorites, but to drive like this on the street? Did that too when I was younger and stupid, but you grow out of that after a while - not the driving part, the street part. Maybe a secluded area, but in traffic. You never know what situation pops up. Won’t be so fun when you kill a child.
Now that's how to drive it like you stole it.. love the reaction of folks when I do that to mine..

What type of bolt on's? How much HP do you think it has?
i got the formula version to that. 400 4spd car.
Same here Vann, 1978.
A 1979 Formula with a 400 is very rare. There were only 346 of them made in 1979.
@@97MstngCobra love the 77-78 Formulas too.
@@googleusergp I was looking for a 79-81 T/A at the time and found THAT instead.. I was like .. oh that'll do nicely 🖤 T/A? what's a T/A?
@@vannjunkin8041 Hi Vann, grew up as a teenager with the second gen F-bodies and still love them. That was many moons ago!
Is this Nick from Maple Motors?
How much gas were you giving it to do that ?
depends on what part, but in general a big blip to break traction and then you play with it to keep it going a bit.
Fuck yeah
Yes sir
Go sideways..... yay
You could definitely get a 4 speed in 79
Yes, both with the Pontiac 301 or the Pontiac 400.
That's one way to ruin a classic.
You’re supposed to drive them

Have fun in jail
