Ahh the old school DJI showing theirselves…. Remember 5-6 years ago when you didn’t dare try to work with DJi support and always bought from Best Buy because of their superb service and return ability
Hi all, Been watching your video, 2 things firstly, the air3s seem to have the following - Video Format MP4 (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, HEVC/H.265) Max Video Bitrate H.264/H.265: 130 Mbps. 2nd have you just shot a quick test video (in both modes) .264 and .265 ?? And shared/uploaded a test video(s) without edits, at all (upload direct from sd) No editing.
Got a chance to try mine out when it stopped raining and checked out fine, having bought it in UK, anyway curious why DJI did not mention if they checked out the one you sent back and what they found. I guess the ones they sending you could just be part of a bad batch but eventually they will sort out the problem for you I'm sure.
to me it still looks like the video is "stepping" even going forwards it dont look smooth , only times I have had that is a mismatched when my editor was set at 30 fps , but the recording was done at 25 fps . my 3S video is butter smooth , edit to add mine is a UK Air 3S and was delivered day after release , so it is one of the first ones off the line .
No I have not. At this point, since I have had issues, I'm not taking the drone up again. I have considered that but would not have time to answer all the comments and suggestions from everyone. I have sent DJI a copy of the video and the log file and now waiting on their response. Thank you.
I am curious if it’s something with uploading to RUclips. I doubt it, but it’s a thought. Weird it’s happening twice with two drones. Was it mentioned if the stuttering was shown/seen prior to uploading to RUclips?
Does it seem to be frame rate related ? Are you using a heavier filter ? Maybe try slowing the gimbal yaw speed and see what happens the video it appears to be the gimbal related. I suspect it’s the heavier 1” lens is straining the gimbal motor. Perhaps they used the old air 3 gimbal motor.
if it was in the gimbal it would show on the rc2 display... it must be a bitrate issue... and beyond software.... if it was firmware then all the air3s would be doing it..... so they must of had a bad run of chipset or something......
I'm getting bullied by DJI customer service as well, the AIR3S has been with them since November 2 and they don't CARE!! Calling me giving me all kinds of BS ... at this point I am making a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back since they are holding both money and product... also my NEO grounded since because I don't have the RC remote control that I sent back to them and phone are less fun... To order the Mavic4 after this experience going to be Russian roulette
@@BillTheDroneReviewer can't believe that a company with the D best technology out there giving the worst customer experience, definitely loosing my respect
Marcus, did you have any issue with this same problem. Not really fun to hear people argue about a return. Not much here to see - it should have just been a zoom between the three of you.
There is an issue with the DJI Air 3S that needs to be resolved. There is a lot for everyone to see who is considering purchasing a DJI Air 3S. Thank you.
@@BillTheDroneReviewer ??? I know that DJI always has something wrong! take the mavic release that hardly any features worked when released... today a solid drone.... I hope they get it right as for most of us.... the air3 or air3s is more than enough of a drone we don't need anything better... I own the air3 which had the least issues when released I think they have ever made and don't need to upgrade again since I only use it for fun.... but you would think just a change or two in features create so many problems????
Thank you for smashing that like button, your great comments, and incredible support !

You can only do 265. Thank you.
Appreciate the info. Just sorry you had to deal with all that. Keep up the great work as always!
Thank you !

I'm waiting to hear on what they have to say about my log files and video I sent them.

Me either. Great show!
Thank you.
Should I grab the new 3s before possible tariffs hitting ? I see a lot of refurbished section full on dgi but I want the air 3s.
I can't advise that until I get this issue resolved. Thank you.
Bill have you tried 60 fps recording, does it still do the same ? , is it possible to make the original file available for us to download for a look .

I have uploaded a video processed using Davinci and a raw video straight from the drone and the both show stutter.
@ Was stutter in the video before any processing and before uploading to RUclips? Just curious…
@@TheSCMcCoy Yes. I also uploaded the video directly from the drone to RUclips and it was there.

Look at some footage from Marcus's Air 3S... one around the pond and rc boats... many yaw instances that are perfect.
@ I am thinking it maybe binding perhaps only on one side. A back of out of spec gimbals.

It's possible. Waiting to hear from DJI Customer Service

It's .265 default.
Yeah...265 is the only choice
24-48 hours may be a firmware update coming...
It's now been 72 hours and no response.

I bet you DJI will come out with a firmware that will fix your issue with that video studder. Ohio Drone Pilot.
Thank you for your comment.
I won’t be buying the 3S. Thank you for letting us know about their poor quality control and customer service
You obviously have not dealt with any other drone manufacturers. DJI is the best. Eventually Bill's problem will get resolved,
I'm waiting on DJI's response as I sent them my log files and a copy of the video.
