Have you actually tried both versions? I just purchased the Barricade 13's after wearing the 2023 version for the last 3 months. I needed to upgrade because the upper foot mesh tore at the seams on the 2023's. Granted I play almost every day. I have to say the quality of the 13's is much better than what you describe from just looking at pictures. The 2023 tongue may look premium, but the new padded tongue and upper mesh makes the 13's more comfortable and feel lighter on your feet even though the specs say different. I loved the 2023's, but the Barricade 13's are a worthwhile upgrade. FYI, the 13's have the same textured heel to keep your sock from sliding.

Thank you for the detailed info which is highly appreciated for others. Judging just from pictures is not always very accurate as I can see. I will pin your comment under the video so people can read another opinion, which is always great. Take care! 🙌

Hey, a few people have said to size up so I was wondering if you did that or stayed the same?

@@stanley_94 Hi, I bought it for my brother and he always used size EU 46 and it was always good. I don't know how it is with the 2024 version.

Great video, thanks. I've got the 2023 version. My very first Barricades! I had noticed there were changes, but didn't get it. I love mine, so I'll try to get another pair of 2023's 🤙

@@bushmenaa Mizuno's are great. I have one of the Wave Exceed Light models, but there seems to me too much of padding inside the shoe so I don't have the feel I need. My favourites are Wilson shoes - Kaos Swift 1.5 Clay.

@@bushmenaa Today I tried the new Exceed Tour 6 in the black/gold anniversary edition and it's good. It's still not my favourite, but it's good. I don't like how shallow it is in the back. I don't feel locked in in the shoe. But other than that, great feel for the ground, fast, responsive with overall sensitive cushioning, which is now better in the forefoot.

hi man, how much room should I have betewn the longest toe and the end of the foot? My foot is 26,5 cm, I bought 8,5US in fila and they are soooo tigh, i have literaly NO space at the end of the shoe...should I leave a thumb width betwen? I would have to go to a 10,5 in adidas....I think Im playing with too small shoes...thanks mate!!!!

Wow, what an interesting question. There should be just a small space for your fingers to be able to lift up a little bit but not too much. Personally I like quite tight shoes that give me instant reaction and zero delay when I move my feet. I like glove like feel.
If you leave a bigger space for your thumb, you risk injuries. Your thumb can impact (slide) to the tip of the shoe and you can get hurt by this impact. It happened to me many times and it's not very pleasant. In general it is not good when your foot can move inside the shoe. It should stay in one place. And the shoe should move instantly with your foot. So I strongly recommend buying a shoe with a perfect fit - glove like. No space in front or in the back of the shoe. You should only leave space for finger movement "up and down" so your fingers don't get compressed by the upper of the shoe. I hope this helps. Great topic for a video, thank you 👌
