    can you explain the calculation behind the modeling......for example why you choose 7.7*4 rectangle and other is 7*4 ...... why you rotate these rectangle 20 degree each in different direction.......why you offset surfaces 5mm and 2.5mm etc......i fan of your calculation not your modeling

      1-I use different length of rectangle because the final produced surface is V in shape so the cross section at the bend point is slightly larger than the normal cross-section just like a wooden frame in which the cross section at the corner is bigger in length due to the bend if make the same length of rectangles then the produced surface will look like kinked at the bend corner
      2- I use 20 degrees rotation to create a Star like geometry.
      3- I use different offset values (2.5mm and 5mm) to create an overlapping effect after circular pattern
      So overall it's a hit and trial method to achieve a desired shape

      @@EasyCADSolutions why you choose 20 degree rotation ......why not 30 degree???
      ......why you choose equal relation in first sketch for pentagon that is used for construction ....

      20 degree is perfect for me because i use lot of values and found 20 degree is perfect
      you can tweak it according to you
      And i use equal relation to the construction line because if we see a dodecahedron from the top then we found the top pentagonal face is connected with the five more Pentagonal faces of equal size so if we draw a construction line inside the five faces in such a way that these construction will connect eachother
      So now when you see from the top then you will realize that this dimension will look same from the top view too
      That's why i use that equal relation
