I do hope Fauna knows that her uniqueness in how she orients her streams IS what makes her stand out and why we love her. She compared herself a lot to others but I'm glad she's finally accepting why people actually enjoy her and she absolutely should be proud of that. her humor, quirks, style of streams, her yaps, resilience/endurance gameplay styles, and so much more is why she so incredibly popular. literally my fav in Hololive and it makes me sad to see such insane talent go.
She was one of my favorites in all of HoloEN for her fun yaps, clever stream ideas, genuine passion for gaming and overall solid content creation. That's something that should be recognized as talent in entertainment.
When she got the 3D setup I was blown away, I never expected her to be the type to goof around with her whole body language on stream all the time. But she took to it very quickly
Comparison is the thief of joy. I'm 110% sure those singers and dancers and stuff all at times feel inferior to people like Fauna, seeing their strengths while not acknowledging their own. The grass is _always_ greener on the other side of the fence.
Maybe it's just me, but I always felt like Fauna would be one of those who would be in Hololive for a long time. She actually liked singing and dancing, and regardless of what she was streaming, she was always so comfy to watch and listen to, whether it was yapping, gaming, singing, or ASMR. Ah well. I guess nothing lasts forever and all good things come to an end. I'll do my best to stay strong, for her sake. 😢
She probably would've stayed if the indie vtubing scene didn't blow up a whole new level this year. That probably influenced her decision a lot, seeing former corpos vtuber thrive after going indie.
@@ArcMagnus Yeah I'd say any member who is popular enough to rely on superchats or youtube/twitch revenue alone, and do not have higher aspirations, could benefit a bit from leaving due to the revenue split. This probably influenced Ame's decision as well. Because of her level of creativity and technical ability she needs Hololive less than some other members. And like Fauna she is more streaming focused.

I've seen Fauna's roommate's (VA /performer for people that don't know but want to somehow chastise my knowledge) channels before there was a Hololive EN gen one. So if you want to disagree with me, maybe make sure you're familiar with both of her channels under her old moniker. Then tell me if you think it is like her current stuff in Hololive and I can take it as I've had a limited view of her Holo work, or we disagree on the similarity. Otherwise, just talking about what she's like in Hololive without the contrast isn't really against my point. I don't follow hololive much but I'd guess one part is she might be naturally less seiso than Hololive wants. My understanding is she had a very deep friendship with Shondo that soured when Fauna got into Holo and Shondo did not. Seems like someone that would get along with her might want to more unhinged things with persona and streams than Holo management allows.
At first I clicked this random green VTuber because I liked her design, then I heard her voice and my neurons activated, the more I watched her the more I wanted to watch her because of her adorable personality, then I saw myself beign dragged deeper in the world of VTubers. I will miss the green.
That... was the funniest shit. Everyone is busy being tryhards and Fauna's singing Mom's Spaghetti and crashing her car. She is really entertaining. I'm excited to see what happens when her limiters are removed.
It is eerily similar to how Sakura Miko felt when Justice debuted and Elizabeth sang. She also had felt like Hololive was getting more talent with unique skills.
It's kinda my reaction each time a new gen debuts, "Holy _crap_ these people are absurdly overqualified, I wonder how the old guard feel now, who got in sometimes without even a real audition?"

It's easy to be tell when you're standing on the shoulder of a giant. Personally if it wasn't for pre-HoloX JP, the first two EN gens and Tempus, I wouldn't be watching anyone that came into Holo after early 2023. Only possible exception I can think is Raden because of how unique and unparalleled her skillset is.

Which basically means the newer and arguably more talented members were actually inspired by the old guard. Or at the very least sees them as a goal to reach some day. Also 90% of them are used to getting surpassed by their kouhais with the exception of the ones that blew up like Pekora, Miko, Suisei, Marine, Korone etc. So the majority should be mentally fine.
@@DarkFenix2k5 It probably helps a lot that even if quite a few of the more long standing members were let in under very different conditions when the entry requirements weren't as strict. These members are all now veterans who have shown they are entertaining enough to carry an audience, not to mention its almost a guarantee that any new joiners will be fans of theirs.

I remember the first flag for me that Fauna was moving in a different direction was when Promise has their little Birthday Gauntlet in the beginning of March and everyone had a Birthday 3D Live except Fauna, who instead debuted her own TTRPG series. Showed that she prioritized her streams instead of just doing what everyone else was doing. Gonna miss that the most, honestly.
I can't believe I didn't notice that which make sense now. And yet, I don't blame her for going that direction due to pressure or expectation when every member did their 3D live for special occasion. Not to mention, it does require a lot of practice into singing and dancing if she were to really do her 3D performance which means it would've been too much.
Honestly I've been wondering if she didn't want to travel so much. She didn't do a birthday live as you said, and she didn't go to New York, as she was missing from everyone's stories. I'd hate to think that not wanting to leave her cat so often plays a part in her leaving, but he's old, she already lost one and it's within the realm of her personality. Mooms mentioned not wanting to leave her dog as something holding her back from travel and more Japan based projects, and they share a lot of opinions.

What i really like about Saplings community is, we are not that big, i mean we are the last to reach 1M amongst Promise, but from what i can see, Fauna's stream number is always one of the biggest in HoloEN. I rarely see less than 8K people watched her stream. I guess, Man! I Love Fauna!
@@thegreatestblood I think it's because of how the algorithm just puts people you watch in your feed regardless of if you're subscribed or not. Subscriptions have less meaning nowadays, and Fauna didn't have the immediate meme appeal of Kronii or Mumei, for example, so she didn't have as big of an initial subscriber boost compared to her genmates. But Fauna turned out to be the most consistent streamer of her generation by far, and perhaps even in all of Hololive EN. I wouldn't be surprised if her average monthly hours watched is the highest among all EN members, which is probably the most important metric for a streamer as it translates directly into revenue. Fauna's consistency (both in terms of hours streamed and overall stream quality) cultivated a high viewer retention, and her streamer focus paid off. I expect Lemonleaf will also pull in similar numbers once she recommences streaming activity.
She says she can't dance, but well I liked her no-dancing when she was singing the Nyarlko OP cover with the JPs... it made a cute contrast with Nenechi's energetic dance
I agree but you gotta consider how it can feel from the idol’s perspective too. To us, her gentle way of dancing is precious and reflects her personality when alongside everyone else, but it can be difficult to stomach feeling inadequate in the face of others in your company. It can feel like you’re just there to magnify the quality or individuality of their dancing if you feel like you have so much further to go. Fauna has probably been training all this time and felt like she couldn’t measure up even if we love her dancing

Fauna was rock solid. Never a dull stream. Instead it was the stream that healed the soul. I'll miss those UUUUUUUs and just the right amount of quirky that kept me coming back. And even re-watching streams just to hear her in the background while I was busy.
I felt like a bad fan when I couldn't draw or animate or make songs for Fauna...but I manage to DM TTRPGS a lot more this year, I have my unique skills, and Fauna of the pond helped me realize that.
You're no less valuable for being unable to do any of those listed skills, really. No need to contribute with art, or money, or offering your oshi anything but your time and words of encouragement. Time is precious.
You're every bit a fan even if you can't 'produce' anything to show your support. Watching is what you can do, and it alone will mean a lot to them. If you say you've been inspired by them to do something, that's fantastic. If you want to quantify it, doing something that helps them, then just by watching a stream or a video, it all adds to the almighty RUclips algorithm. Every view helps flag it as something they should promote, allowing more people to discover the talents. Your eyes draw more eyes onto them.

when she talked about how "when you think of hololive you think of singing, dancing, etc..." it made me realize how the perception of the company changed. I used to think of Hololive as streamers first, but its so obvious now that they are focusing more on having performers... the shows and the songs are amazing i always thought of them as a plus, but its kinda sad as well when some of us are more interested in the stream element, and some of the talent barely do it anymore... but i guess that if they are happy thats whats important!
She didn't really hint at a reason for leaving here. She wasn't saying that she's not able to be streaming-focused, she was just saying that she initially felt weird about it but then came to think it was OK.
You had it backwards. They want their members to do more Singing/Dancing content, but she rarely did this compared to some others. She was saying she thinks it's good to have a stream focused member like her, but they didn't agree.

I get the impression that she really didn't like the stress of travelling. She did an insane amount during her last trip to Japan, basically a years worth of mocap/studio stuff. She said as much herself on stream, that she didn't want to have to make a second trip. I'm sure whatever she's doing in the future, she'll be able to do it from the comfort of her own home, without having to leave Snail behind.
This is the reason. She doesn't like Japan, and Hololive's management wants them to spend half their time in Japan going forward. This is why Bae said the management changes don't bother her; she's already living there.

Lemonleaf got to be known for her ASMR and Lemonleaf was also a loli. Her best friend in the vtubing community is FallenShadow a goth loli who's known for her ASMR. Fauna stopped making ASMR like 10 months ago. She wants to keep the goth part but keeping the loli part would kind of make her a clone of her best friend and the girl who helped her learn how to make ASMR and was huge in her vtubing career. She also didn't seem to be happy about winning the ASMR award as it was the second time they had been head to head and she won it without basically making ASMR that year. But theory as we don't know what her model will look like. All that I know is her and FallenShadow will be united again as Nimi and Shondo are already following each other

I understand where Fauna is coming from, having genmates that all were so talented in the usual Vtuber-idol stuff like singing, dancing, & art, and not feeling like you fit in. I think HoloEN needs to highlight more of the variety-show type stuff that they do, especially to the talents themselves, so they don't feel too caught up with the idol-lite stuff like singing & dancing. Holo has always been more of a comedy-variety kind of agency anyways, it's clearer to see on the JP, ID, & Stars side at least.
What's ironic is basically all five Council genmates seemed to feel this way at some point or another, that the other four were more talented. Bae also admitted this the other day.

Even if one technically has the capacity to achieve certain things, if that person doesn't believe that they do, they won't even attempt to unless convinced in some way to wade into the waters a bit. Change and taking on challenges is always a bit intimidating if not anxiety-inducing. But if one has strong enough motivations and ambition, they're more likely to go out on that limb, do their best, and commit to the outcome. It's a game of wills, basically. And that game isn't easy, so I don't blame them for having their doubts.

So uh... what did she hint at? The League stream? Jokes aside, it's understandable that she felt that way. But she ain't the only one in Hololive that didn't really fit the "idol" mold. Because singing and dancing are not what's required to get into Hololive. They could be a reason to get in, but it's not required. Talents like Noel and Choco were not really singers or dancers. I think it's more important that people gravitate towards you, no matter what your focusing on, be it singing, dancing, games, asmr and whatnot. Heck, we just had another MikKorone event and it's basically a comedy variety show, rather than just idol thing. Maybe they saw Fauna's audition and just thought that she's very charming. Because she really has a certain allure that's pretty unique to her. She might not feel like it, but she does have a place in Hololive. Man... today's the day. It's just half an hour from now. Yeah. Honestly, I always saw Fauna as one of the biggest Hololive influences - at least to me. It's odd to see her say that she wasn't sure whether she'd be able to do a good job lol. I straight up believe she's one of the best streamers in Hololive, and for sure was my favorite one.

Over the last two years I’ve tried a bunch of two jobs and honestly feeling like an outsider is worse than bad management, angry customers, or the hardest work and worst tasks.
To me, Fauna always feels like an old friend, who's giving you warmth in the cold days, with their yapping, soothing voice, being real even. I don't watch Fauna for a long time, only started at the end of 2023. But in those short time, I will miss Fauna a lot.
The number of armchair scientists in the comments is astounding. Just stating for the general. Multiple talents have talked about they are not forced to do idol activities. Fauna and management can have different goals without it being something bad. Fauna's personal life itself may not permit it even. The first time i saw fauna was from a clip where she sings hey ya where she cosplay as a elephant and dance along with it. I started watching her vods after that, she have this unique kind of identity entertainment from her streams. I hope she'll continue streaming after her graduation.
I remember thinking about what she said when she decided not to join the hologta game and how there was a language barrier. see when she announced she was graduating I assumed it was most likely because of internal struggles working in a multi-lingual company being monolingual is rough I grew up with Spanish-speaking parents but I didn't learn until recently so I was surrounded by conversations that I didn't understand and it just creates a growing feeling of being left out especially when half or more en has passable Japanese and all of Indonesia are practical polyglots. obviously, this isn't the only reason but I feel like it was a factor.
as someone that doesn't like ASMR and actively avoids it, I like everything else about Fauna. and in my opinion there's a lot to like!!! she's a very entertaining streamer.
Same. Asmr creeps me out. Fauna was my most watched. She undervalues her streams too much. She said, when you think holo you think concerts, not streams. I think that's backwards. I think of the girls personalities, memes, friendships, huge collabs. Streams are the foundation. Concerts are the dressing.

Singing and concert are the cherry on the cake but Hololive’s main core is definitely streaming, all the moments we share with them, all the events they organize, all the games and movies we watch alongside them. And what’s really great is to be around these funny people every day and then discover this artistic side of them at a concert : to see how our goofy character can become impressive and classy as if by magic.

Ah. She was so caught up in others achievements that she didn't consider why she was scouted. Probably the same reason they hired Korone. Some Hololive recruiters are next level, and see much deeper than any accolades can show.
well korone was hired on direct recommendation from okayu, iirc. imo, its more like noel, who got hired twice by hololive (apparently someone submitted in her name for audition for gen2. she declined but later auditioned for gen3.) noel also obviously got her ASMR, but shes also a decent gamer and still cant really sing to save her life, but made some of the most fun songs and covers in hololive.

honestly, out of all the current EN members i enjoy nerissas and biboos talking segments the most, so if you want a similar vibe to fauna, those are the ones i would recommend. bae is pretty good too, especially her monday radio, in which shes usually more chill.
Yeah I felt it was inevitable when Amelia left. Being in a JP managed company as a streamer is always restrictive by nature and it wears on you. I think that she achieved everything that she wanted to in Hololive and is going to be much more comfortable and happy as an independent. The saddest part will be for the fans to no longer see her interactions with everyone else on stream.
Unfortunately she definitely did _not_ "achieved everything that she wanted to". She's not leaving because she doesn't want to be in Hololive anymore, she's leaving despite wanting to be in Hololive. The conditions with which she wants to stay in Hololive can not be accommodated by the company so she made the tough choice to leave despite it being her dream job.
I will miss her and her interactions with her colleagues dearly and I have the deepest respect for her decision, yet I fail to understand how graduation could help her imposter syndrome. I reckon just about everyone would agree that she is one of the most important EN livers, regardless of what content she produces. Unless pressure from above is a factor, I cannot see why she couldn't continue as Fauna as usual. but I digress, I'm no streamer.
It's cause hololive is moving towards a more idol focused business model. They're probably pressuring talents to do more singing and dancing or imposing stricter rules on what they can do while streaming. I'm sure you've noticed the recent graduations were by talents that preferred to stream rather than do live performances.
@@Baka_Mop The only graduations were Aqua. The rest went Affliate and a lot of the girls already stated that they're never forced to dance/sing. If they ever did those it's because they want those opportunities.
it helps with imposter syndrome by not constantly being surrounded by people you perceive as far above and beyond you in talent. considering all her gen mates have said they have no problems with things as they are, the "problem" is likely fauna specific and unlikely to do with her wanting to yap and game, as other members across all branches are doing the very same.

I will always remember Fauna's overlapping annual streams. What an ingenious, original idea and so well executed in spite of technical issues. Ranks up there with Smol Ame and Gura's prank calls.
yea,.when i got into Hololive (as it is my first introduction for vtuber, Gura specifically), idol stuff is not what hook me into it,. i just love watching them play games and collabing,.even now, i rarely watch their concert/karaoke

It's clear at this point that if you're not fit to be an idol you have no place in Hololive, just as Aqua, Fauna, Amelia and Chloe learned it the hard way. Even Coco before that. Truly Hololive became an idol agency like AKB48, the only difference is that at least Cover still treats them with some semblance of humanity unlike its flesh counterpart. But if you, like me, came to Hololive because of the chaotic content from before, that's gone forever. Even Suisei, who should be one among those benefitting the most from this new route, fights A LOT with management; I can't imagine how hellish it must be for the others who aren't as dedicated as her to be idols.
i really hope that isn't the actual reason because regardless of any tangible accomplishments it's a fact that she is easily one of the most beloved talents in EN
I'm surprised no one mentioning to the very main keyword, the impostor syndrome. This alone can make people want to leave their job in general. Even they don't want to leave, but in the same time also cannot manage the impostor feeling, and this causes conflict and stress in their head. It just turn out that the winner force is the impostor feeling. And we get this result.
I’ll miss this green kirin. Fauna’s streams were so calming, wholesome and cool. Because of Calli & Fauna, I discovered vtubers and many wonderful ppl I love to watch. Rissa, ERB & Gigi are my fav holo members now and I love their content. I understand Fauna when she says having imposter syndrome. There’s 80+ talents and so many can dance, sing, perform, etc. Sometimes when you’re on a team with so much talent, even if you’re a talented, valued member yourself, you can sometimes feel like you don’t belong. Sounds like the company’s new direction, Fauna’s feelings and wants didn’t align. Will definitely support this little guy no matter where she goes 🫡 💚

Yea, the song literally made me guess that she probably got pissed that she's consistently compared to her genmates, and at the same time, she just felt like she couldn't fit. The final straw was probably doing more idolish stuff, which Hololive in nature does. Which is very congruent of the sudden graduation announcement where she was bawling. There is not much Fauna can really do except leave as she just can't align herself with the things that hololive wants to accomplish. That's ok, as Fauna didn't really want to focus on being a singer and dancer to begin with. It's not the first time throughout the years that she's been feeling this sense of imposter syndrome and 'management' just not getting why she focuses a lot on ASMR and why she considers it as the proof of why she's glad that she's in hololive. In the puddle stream, she is still adament on being streaming focused still btw. Now the thing in all this is that I'm baffled that who was the one/parties that belonged to management that royally pissed Ceres Fauna off so much that she literally incited the graduation clause suddenly with a video? It seems like she said the same thing so many times that she said fuck it.
Fauna Dota streams were legendary, I wish she saw how big of a gamer she was, meshing with that style of game. I will miss her in hololive, but I'll sip on my *lemon leaf* tea when it arrives.

I do hope Fauna knows that her uniqueness in how she orients her streams IS what makes her stand out and why we love her. She compared herself a lot to others but I'm glad she's finally accepting why people actually enjoy her and she absolutely should be proud of that. her humor, quirks, style of streams, her yaps, resilience/endurance gameplay styles, and so much more is why she so incredibly popular. literally my fav in Hololive and it makes me sad to see such insane talent go.
She was one of my favorites in all of HoloEN for her fun yaps, clever stream ideas, genuine passion for gaming and overall solid content creation. That's something that should be recognized as talent in entertainment.

Maybe it's just me, but I always felt like Fauna would be one of those who would be in Hololive for a long time. She actually liked singing and dancing, and regardless of what she was streaming, she was always so comfy to watch and listen to, whether it was yapping, gaming, singing, or ASMR.

She probably would've stayed if the indie vtubing scene didn't blow up a whole new level this year. That probably influenced her decision a lot, seeing former corpos vtuber thrive after going indie.
@@ArcMagnus Yeah I'd say any member who is popular enough to rely on superchats or youtube/twitch revenue alone, and do not have higher aspirations, could benefit a bit from leaving due to the revenue split. This probably influenced Ame's decision as well. Because of her level of creativity and technical ability she needs Hololive less than some other members. And like Fauna she is more streaming focused.

I've seen Fauna's roommate's (VA /performer for people that don't know but want to somehow chastise my knowledge) channels before there was a Hololive EN gen one. So if you want to disagree with me, maybe make sure you're familiar with both of her channels under her old moniker. Then tell me if you think it is like her current stuff in Hololive and I can take it as I've had a limited view of her Holo work, or we disagree on the similarity. I don't follow hololive much but I'd guess one part is she might be naturally less seiso than Hololive wants. My understanding is she had a very deep friendship with Shondo that soured when Fauna got into Holo and Shondo did not. Seems like someone that would get along with her might want to more unhinged things with persona and streams than Holo management allows.

Personally if it wasn't for pre-HoloX JP, the first two EN gens and Tempus, I wouldn't be watching anyone that came into Holo after early 2023. Only possible exception I can think is Raden because of how unique and unparalleled her skillset is.

Which basically means the newer and arguably more talented members were actually inspired by the old guard. Or at the very least sees them as a goal to reach some day. Also 90% of them are used to getting surpassed by their kouhais with the exception of the ones that blew up like Pekora, Miko, Suisei, Marine, Korone etc. So the majority should be mentally fine.
@@DarkFenix2k5 It probably helps a lot that even if quite a few of the more long standing members were let in under very different conditions when the entry requirements weren't as strict. These members are all now veterans who have shown they are entertaining enough to carry an audience, not to mention its almost a guarantee that any new joiners will be fans of theirs.
Not everyone needs to be a tank or dps. We also need healers... and now ours is leaving us.

I remember the first flag for me that Fauna was moving in a different direction was when Promise has their little Birthday Gauntlet in the beginning of March and everyone had a Birthday 3D Live except Fauna, who instead debuted her own TTRPG series. Showed that she prioritized her streams instead of just doing what everyone else was doing. Gonna miss that the most, honestly.
No need to miss that, she's gonna return to a different channel to do exactly that without any pressure.
I can't believe I didn't notice that which make sense now. And yet, I don't blame her for going that direction due to pressure or expectation when every member did their 3D live for special occasion. Not to mention, it does require a lot of practice into singing and dancing if she were to really do her 3D performance which means it would've been too much.
Honestly I've been wondering if she didn't want to travel so much. She didn't do a birthday live as you said, and she didn't go to New York, as she was missing from everyone's stories. I'd hate to think that not wanting to leave her cat so often plays a part in her leaving, but he's old, she already lost one and it's within the realm of her personality. Mooms mentioned not wanting to leave her dog as something holding her back from travel and more Japan based projects, and they share a lot of opinions.

What i really like about Saplings community is, we are not that big, i mean we are the last to reach 1M amongst Promise, but from what i can see, Fauna's stream number is always one of the biggest in HoloEN. I rarely see less than 8K people watched her stream. I guess, Man! I Love Fauna!

@@thegreatestblood I think it's because of how the algorithm just puts people you watch in your feed regardless of if you're subscribed or not. Subscriptions have less meaning nowadays, and Fauna didn't have the immediate meme appeal of Kronii or Mumei, for example, so she didn't have as big of an initial subscriber boost compared to her genmates.
But Fauna turned out to be the most consistent streamer of her generation by far, and perhaps even in all of Hololive EN. I wouldn't be surprised if her average monthly hours watched is the highest among all EN members, which is probably the most important metric for a streamer as it translates directly into revenue. Fauna's consistency (both in terms of hours streamed and overall stream quality) cultivated a high viewer retention, and her streamer focus paid off. I expect Lemonleaf will also pull in similar numbers once she recommences streaming activity.

I agree but you gotta consider how it can feel from the idol’s perspective too. To us, her gentle way of dancing is precious and reflects her personality when alongside everyone else, but it can be difficult to stomach feeling inadequate in the face of others in your company. It can feel like you’re just there to magnify the quality or individuality of their dancing if you feel like you have so much further to go. Fauna has probably been training all this time and felt like she couldn’t measure up even if we love her dancing

when she talked about how "when you think of hololive you think of singing, dancing, etc..." it made me realize how the perception of the company changed. I used to think of Hololive as streamers first, but its so obvious now that they are focusing more on having performers... the shows and the songs are amazing i always thought of them as a plus, but its kinda sad as well when some of us are more interested in the stream element, and some of the talent barely do it anymore... but i guess that if they are happy thats whats important!
She didn't really hint at a reason for leaving here. She wasn't saying that she's not able to be streaming-focused, she was just saying that she initially felt weird about it but then came to think it was OK.
You had it backwards. They want their members to do more Singing/Dancing content, but she rarely did this compared to some others. She was saying she thinks it's good to have a stream focused member like her, but they didn't agree.

I get the impression that she really didn't like the stress of travelling. She did an insane amount during her last trip to Japan, basically a years worth of mocap/studio stuff. She said as much herself on stream, that she didn't want to have to make a second trip.
I'm sure whatever she's doing in the future, she'll be able to do it from the comfort of her own home, without having to leave Snail behind.
This is the reason. She doesn't like Japan, and Hololive's management wants them to spend half their time in Japan going forward. This is why Bae said the management changes don't bother her; she's already living there.

@@kos2919 Honestly she's always been goth but the Fauna model covered a lot of it. A theory that I saw someone say which I think makes sense to me is she wants to get away from ASMR. Lemonleaf got to be known for her ASMR and Lemonleaf was also a loli. Her best friend in the vtubing community is FallenShadow a goth loli who's known for her ASMR. Fauna stopped making ASMR like 10 months ago. She wants to keep the goth part but keeping the loli part would kind of make her a clone of her best friend and the girl who helped her learn how to make ASMR and was huge in her vtubing career. She also didn't seem to be happy about winning the ASMR award as it was the second time they had been head to head and she won it without basically making ASMR that year. But theory as we don't know what her model will look like. All that I know is her and FallenShadow will be united again as Nimi and Shondo are already following each other

I understand where Fauna is coming from, having genmates that all were so talented in the usual Vtuber-idol stuff like singing, dancing, & art, and not feeling like you fit in. I think HoloEN needs to highlight more of the variety-show type stuff that they do, especially to the talents themselves, so they don't feel too caught up with the idol-lite stuff like singing & dancing. Holo has always been more of a comedy-variety kind of agency anyways, it's clearer to see on the JP, ID, & Stars side at least.
What's ironic is basically all five Council genmates seemed to feel this way at some point or another, that the other four were more talented. Bae also admitted this the other day.

Even if one technically has the capacity to achieve certain things, if that person doesn't believe that they do, they won't even attempt to unless convinced in some way to wade into the waters a bit. Change and taking on challenges is always a bit intimidating if not anxiety-inducing. But if one has strong enough motivations and ambition, they're more likely to go out on that limb, do their best, and commit to the outcome. It's a game of wills, basically. And that game isn't easy, so I don't blame them for having their doubts.

Jokes aside, it's understandable that she felt that way. But she ain't the only one in Hololive that didn't really fit the "idol" mold. Because singing and dancing are not what's required to get into Hololive. They could be a reason to get in, but it's not required. Talents like Noel and Choco were not really singers or dancers. They only honed their skills through the years they've been in Hololive.
I think it's more important that people gravitate towards you, no matter what your focusing on, be it singing, dancing, games, asmr and whatnot. Heck, we just had another MikKorone event and it's basically a comedy variety show, rather than just idol thing. Maybe they saw Fauna's audition and just thought that she's very charming. Because she really has a certain allure that's pretty unique to her. She might not feel like it, but she does have a place in Hololive.

You know how League has a support main? Well I think that Holo Promise was built with a bunch of talent like singing, dancing, drawing, etc. but a support was missing and that support was Fauna. Whether its her yapping, singing, or being a goofball. Fauna heals you. No one can deny it, she is a big hearted person that everyone enjoys 💚
She used to be a Dota player, so it still makes sense.
She definitely belonged and was someone I look up to, be it her songs or interactions with others. Her kindness just shines through no matter what people say.
I wished she could stay to take a similar route as kaela, she's also not the best singer or dancer, but incredible streamer and gamer, such as fauna, and fauna loves indie games, so we kinda need someone from the EN side to represent ._.
As a fan that really doesn't prize music or singing/karaoke as a first degree interest, and doesn't give a Snail's tail about dancing _at all,_ this couldn't be more true. She's leaving behind a gap that EN will struggle to fullfill.

Yeah. Honestly, I always saw Fauna as one of the biggest Hololive influences - at least to me. It's odd to see her say that she wasn't sure whether she'd be able to do a good job lol. I straight up believe she's one of the best streamers in Hololive, and for sure was my favorite one.

To me, Fauna always feels like an old friend, who's giving you warmth in the cold days, with their yapping, soothing voice, being real even. I don't watch Fauna for a long time, only started at the end of 2023. But in those short time, I will miss Fauna a lot.

Just stating for the general. Multiple talents have talked about they are not forced to do idol activities. Fauna and management can have different goals without it being something bad. Fauna's personal life itself may not permit it even.
Point is, Fauna is trying to leave with a smile, stop speculating about what cover or Fauna is doing. And if Fauna is trying her best to make us happy, gonna do my best to be happy for her
I wish more people would take stuff like this into account. She hasn't talked about why she's leaving, and really she shouldn't need to, because it's personal to her. I wish some of her "fans" could accept that rather than make up conspiracies and endlessly speculate on things they have no possible need or right to know. I can't believe Fauna is gone...
The first time i saw fauna was from a clip where she sings hey ya where she cosplay as a elephant and dance along with it. I started watching her vods after that, she have this unique kind of identity entertainment from her streams. I hope she'll continue streaming after her graduation.
When I think of Hololive, I think of really cool people being awesome with their fans and spreading joy. That's it.
I remember thinking about what she said when she decided not to join the hologta game and how there was a language barrier. see when she announced she was graduating I assumed it was most likely because of internal struggles working in a multi-lingual company being monolingual is rough I grew up with Spanish-speaking parents but I didn't learn until recently so I was surrounded by conversations that I didn't understand and it just creates a growing feeling of being left out especially when half or more en has passable Japanese and all of Indonesia are practical polyglots. obviously, this isn't the only reason but I feel like it was a factor.

Same. Asmr creeps me out. Fauna was my most watched. She undervalues her streams too much. She said, when you think holo you think concerts, not streams. I think that's backwards. I think of the girls personalities, memes, friendships, huge collabs. Streams are the foundation. Concerts are the dressing.
I don't search out ASMR and im not a fan but Fauna is the one who made me think that maybe there was something to this whole ASMR thing.

Singing and concert are the cherry on the cake but Hololive’s main core is definitely streaming, all the moments we share with them, all the events they organize, all the games and movies we watch alongside them. And what’s really great is to be around these funny people every day and then discover this artistic side of them at a concert : to see how our goofy character can become impressive and classy as if by magic.

Ah. She was so caught up in others achievements that she didn't consider why she was scouted. Probably the same reason they hired Korone. Some Hololive recruiters are next level, and see much deeper than any accolades can show.

imo, its more like noel, who got hired twice by hololive (apparently someone submitted in her name for audition for gen2. she declined but later auditioned for gen3.) noel also obviously got her ASMR, but shes also a decent gamer and still cant really sing to save her life, but made some of the most fun songs and covers in hololive.
her western accent is probably the most impressive accent I've ever seen, this girl DOES have amazing talent, she just gotta stop comparing it to others.

honestly, out of all the current EN members i enjoy nerissas and biboos talking segments the most, so if you want a similar vibe to fauna, those are the ones i would recommend. bae is pretty good too, especially her monday radio, in which shes usually more chill.

Yeah I felt it was inevitable when Amelia left. Being in a JP managed company as a streamer is always restrictive by nature and it wears on you. I think that she achieved everything that she wanted to in Hololive and is going to be much more comfortable and happy as an independent. The saddest part will be for the fans to no longer see her interactions with everyone else on stream.
I hope Cover going to remove that collab restriction one day.
Unfortunately she definitely did _not_ "achieved everything that she wanted to". She's not leaving because she doesn't want to be in Hololive anymore, she's leaving despite wanting to be in Hololive. The conditions with which she wants to stay in Hololive can not be accommodated by the company so she made the tough choice to leave despite it being her dream job.

It's just the first week of 2025 and I'm now crying.
I will miss her and her interactions with her colleagues dearly and I have the deepest respect for her decision, yet I fail to understand how graduation could help her imposter syndrome. I reckon just about everyone would agree that she is one of the most important EN livers, regardless of what content she produces. Unless pressure from above is a factor, I cannot see why she couldn't continue as Fauna as usual. but I digress, I'm no streamer.
It's cause hololive is moving towards a more idol focused business model. They're probably pressuring talents to do more singing and dancing or imposing stricter rules on what they can do while streaming. I'm sure you've noticed the recent graduations were by talents that preferred to stream rather than do live performances.

@@Baka_Mop The only graduations were Aqua. The rest went Affliate and a lot of the girls already stated that they're never forced to dance/sing. If they ever did those it's because they want those opportunities.
it helps with imposter syndrome by not constantly being surrounded by people you perceive as far above and beyond you in talent.
considering all her gen mates have said they have no problems with things as they are, the "problem" is likely fauna specific and unlikely to do with her wanting to yap and game, as other members across all branches are doing the very same.

yea,.when i got into Hololive (as it is my first introduction for vtuber, Gura specifically), idol stuff is not what hook me into it,. i just love watching them play games and collabing,.even now, i rarely watch their concert/karaoke
@@alycans Probably she'll be out sooner than we imagine. It's clear at this point that if you're not fit to be an idol you have no place in Hololive, just as Aqua, Fauna, Amelia and Chloe learned it the hard way. Even Coco before that. Truly Hololive became an idol agency like AKB48, the only difference is that at least Cover still treats them with some semblance of humanity unlike its flesh counterpart. But if you, like me, came to Hololive because of the chaotic content from before, that's gone forever.
Even Suisei, who should be one among those benefitting the most from this new route, fights A LOT with management; I can't imagine how hellish it must be for the others who aren't as dedicated as her to be idols.
i really hope that isn't the actual reason because regardless of any tangible accomplishments it's a fact that she is easily one of the most beloved talents in EN

This alone can make people want to leave their job in general.
Even they don't want to leave, but in the same time also cannot manage the impostor feeling, and this causes conflict and stress in their head.

Rissa, ERB & Gigi are my fav holo members now and I love their content. I understand Fauna when she says having imposter syndrome. There’s 80+ talents and so many can dance, sing, perform, etc. Sometimes when you’re on a team with so much talent, even if you’re a talented, valued member yourself, you can sometimes feel like you don’t belong. Sounds like the company’s new direction, Fauna’s feelings and wants didn’t align.

Yea, the song literally made me guess that she probably got pissed that she's consistently compared to her genmates, and at the same time, she just felt like she couldn't fit. The final straw was probably doing more idolish stuff, which Hololive in nature does. Which is very congruent of the sudden graduation announcement where she was bawling. There is not much Fauna can really do except leave as she just can't align herself with the things that hololive wants to accomplish. That's ok, as Fauna didn't really want to focus on being a singer and dancer to begin with. It's not the first time throughout the years that she's been feeling this sense of imposter syndrome and 'management' just not getting why she focuses a lot on ASMR and why she considers it as the proof of why she's glad that she's in hololive. In the puddle stream, she is still adament on being streaming focused still btw. Now the thing in all this is that I'm baffled that who was the one/parties that belonged to management that royally pissed Ceres Fauna off so much that she literally incited the graduation clause suddenly with a video? It seems like she said the same thing so many times that she said fuck it.
Fauna was the goat. She was the one that was always on when gen 1-2 here the only ones and no one was streaming. She was always there.
Fauna Dota streams were legendary, I wish she saw how big of a gamer she was, meshing with that style of game. I will miss her in hololive, but I'll sip on my *lemon leaf* tea when it arrives.
