It's like it came from a dream ! Almost every month I have a new favourite Mikrotik product, but it will be hard to top this one. WISP's and CCTV providers will love these.
Finally something remarkable. The only issue is that in my case scenario, I'd need it to PoE devices but through Rj45 and not 2-pin. Using 2-pin requires additional wiring to sites which is not convenient as there are already outdoor Rj45 for PoE. If Mikrotik could change this condition, it would be the ultimate device for nodes.
100000% this. I had also commented regarding the same issue for power requirement for POE out. No way to replace existing powebox pros I suggested POE In and allow POE out on only 4-ports.
You could use as a workaorund a POE-Splitter which converts 802.3at or even 802.3bt to 48V and supply this device with it. The converter should fit in the case. But you are right, a factory delivered solution would be the Best. Perhaps only 1 or 2 POE-IN, the rest with 802.3af POE.
I thought the same. But this adds complexity as you need external outdoor power supply for the 2-pin connector in order to use POE output….. Whereas the PoweBox pro can be powered by 802af and provide same voltage out….
Do you guys have any plans to release 2.5G PoE switches with PoE++ and PoE+ support? Maybe something similar to CRS328-24P-4S+RM but with 8-24 x 2.5G ports with PoE++ support, and 4/8 x SFP28 ports.
very nice device. the only issue i see is that since it's an outdoor device , you have to provide an additional waterproof enclosure to host the AC to DC 48v brick. if there was a way to include that power adaptor in the main enclosure that would make some very clean outdoor installation . But this device is already a great device !
It sucks in APAC region the RB5009 has been out of stock for over 6 months. It is still out of stock. Can we please request an official MikroTik online store where we can buy directly and shipped from you guys?
Dream come true! But damnit MikroTIK. It’s not perfect.. Why only 2-pin power for POE out???? As this works be replacement to PowerBox Pro 2-pins mean you need the MikroTik outdoor external power supply…. Or another local source to 2-pin. Could have nerf’d the USB port or hid it inside enclosure. Less risk for something to fail
I used your product, and it is really excellent, but because of the complicated software, I switched to another brand. Simplify the software and you are at the top of the game!

I was waiting 5 years for this, THANK YOU!

This is going to be super popular with WISPs and for outdoor/event WiFi builds.
I want one of these for my desk...just because 😂
I agree, we're gonna use this to replace our PowerBoxes that are being used as routers on small Micro-Pops, this is gonna be a great product.

@@anthonya.1958 You don't have to, you can power this with POE.
This is great. It is crazy how usefull this router will be. GJ, Mikrotik!

Would be great with an on board m.2 port for 5G modules.

Mikrotik has outdoor power adapters in their line.

Going to be a great device. Just hope we can get them unlike the RB5009UPr+S+IN that are basically not available anywhere.
They are available right now in many distributors. If you are in US at least. Situation is different than last year.
PA resident here. I bought mine for MSRP!
Just posted this to my tower engineers who love the idea.
Great waiting for one to try here in Ghana
Wow!
Wow!
Wow!
Anything else to say?
Nope!
Wow!
For forum subscription what is correct response to"Which are actual MikroTik products? "
When will these be ready? We could use a lot of these!

Perfection would been being able to power it via POE in and use the first four (4) ports for POE OUT as same voltage applied!!! That would be amazing…
Does RB5009UPr+S+OUT support supplying power from two 90w POE++ injectors simultaneously to different POE-IN ports?
-48vdc support with isolated ground?
8 ports for PoE out, not PoE in, as is in video.
Support multi-gig PoE and -48VDC input
does it support 4-pair poe-in for adequate powering of several 24v devices?
cool product, but another not available anywhere in europe?
This is an announcement. It is not for sale yet
@@mikrotik ok, so show where i can buy any rb5009 in the eu?

Many distributors show stock at this very moment. Have you checked?
@@mikrotik geizhals 0, triotronik 30.6 7 pcs, 18.8 27pcs. 🤦🏻♂️
I would commit crimes to have some of these
Так это получается можно 5 ip видеокамер подсоединить по poe во дворе дома через это устройство.

These are professional devices. They have very capable and customizable software. Its not too hard to learn.
The firmware here is very powerful. I like the flexibility of settings. No need to simplify
you should have hyped this up rather than the CAP
No CAP far more valuable
This is only value is poe
No wifi
No pcie
In short the 4011 is better in save poe
