benevolence = the quality of being well meaning
Wow, that guy stood up to Graham. I respect that.
Who is he, and what is he doing today? My feeling is that he probably did quite well for himself in whatever he undertook. Probably already doing well at the time...
@@freddiewadling2090I heard Paul kidnapped him after the lecture, but im not sure
that was so entertaining to watch! (start from 23:14 for context, skip to 25:02 for the guy who “disagrees firmly and vigorously”)
love his lessons
Can't believe Paul Graham is from Weymouth, England! Not far from my home :)
No way?!? To clarify that's between Exeter and Southampton.
if it were that easy, everyone would do it wouldnt they. Thats why a startup is more about persistance even when employees leave you
Anybody knows who is? It was amazing how sticks to his point and in the end says "Follow your passion".
As far as I know it was IBM's decision to make the PC architecture open.
“Make something attractive”
@njkn: I agree thatPaul Graham was sooo Californiaa until he said "anything" after the Octopart section :-) I suddenly heard a Weymouth mouth.
25:00 must see. Especially 25:28.
How old is startup school?

I did not have internet in 2008.
💗
Google being called benevolent sounds like satire in 2023 😂
Or, in the other guy's words: FOLLOW YOUR PASHOUN.

FORROUW YAR PASHOUNN!!!11

@vNorilor what, are Jews saint and untouchable? Or maybe even sayng the holy word starting with "J" is an act of anti-semitic?
@KombiPode What.
This would be so much better without reading from notes :(
