This video has several levels of awesome: horses, blue springs, hard rain, rising waters, move camp in the middle of the night, the hard decision to get off the river and the mini-adventure that spawns. That had to been a tough call to get off, but obviously the right one. It was crazy to see how much the water had risen when you were back at the take-out area at the hotel overlooking the river. One heck of an adventure! Thanks for sharing!
We didn't realize it at the time, but it was definitely the adventure we'd been looking for. The Current is a very unique river...much different than what we have here in NC but it still rises with a truckload of rain😎 Certainly good times! Thanks for watching and looking forward to our adventure right around the corner!
Great video Austin! I can only imagine the effort it takes to produce a video of this quality and depth. Hats off to you, Pete, Kevin and the AVA crew for outstanding productions and sharing the experience with us. I hope you have many more premiers in the future.
Thanks Rob! Making the videos is a way to stay connected to the outdoors when I can't physically be there so the creative process is almost as fun as being out there for me. Thanks for the support and thanks for watching!
The crew made the trip for sure! It wasn't the adventure we planned for but I think we had more fun with the way things turned out. Thanks for watching!
This was a great series. I really enjoyed the three different perspectives. But it did seem like at the end the guy with the lightest gear ended up dragging the biggest boat.😁😁
Hah, she's a long boat but she's lean! Dragging her through the woods was a little tricky getting through the tight spaces but it all worked out. Having lighter gear certainly pays off in a situation like this! Thanks for watching!
It was type 2 fun for a brief period but honestly the group made it so much fun that it just seemed easier to deal. A humbling experience but definitely good times😎
"GoPro, stop recording." GoPro: "You no tell me what to do!" Those things are such a PITA to work with sometimes lol. Awesome video. I came here from the River Kings channel and it's cool to see a different perspective of the trip.
I really think it could differentiate the tone in my voice. If I sounded stressed or angry, the camera is like "nope, gonna do what I want"😂 Glad you came by from RK...hanging with Pete is a blast and also an adventure when you tell your camera to turn off but end up turning someone else's instead. Ah the joys of hanging out with RUclipsrs. Thanks for watching!
Sometimes dicey stories are the most interesting👍😎 Lots of experience in the group helped make the right decision to walk out instead of trying to paddle. Certainly made for a memorable trip...thanks for watching!
Those Blue Springs are BA.. the cameras and mic all looked and sounded water logged at times. And You guys invented Kayak-Backpacking. I'll call it "Back-Kayking" A new activity to launch a new channel.
Filming in the rain is always a challenge...water inevitably gets in the mic ports. Kayak backpacking is not the preferred method but sometimes that's what ya gotta do👍
There was a small pull off where he was able to turn around and then backed up another hundred yards or so. The road was washed out at the very end but he was able to get down there most of the way....made all the difference in the world! Thanks for watching!

25:20 who ever that guy is he seems very annoying! I would hate to spend a trip with a guy like him...

Even mild women have an angry side...good times for sure! Looking forward to our next adventure good sir!
Great adventure, very wet and soggy but the adventure continues!
It was an unexpected turn of events but a very welcome adventure. Thanks for coming by the premier!

Awesome adventure ST! Bummer about the rain but looked like a fun trip with a good crew nonetheless

Wow, that got a little dicey!

Awesome set of vids; what an adventure! So where did that van turn around? I kept wondering if they had to back up the whole way? Thx for the map too!

Pete is a one of a kind trip buddy...he's kept me out of trouble plenty of times. The laugh is just icing on the cake 😂 Thanks for watching!
