- A little late on this upload but I can say the job is just about done, I'll make a follow-up video explaining how to wire up the fuel cut off switch alongside with other small stuff in the future. Car is coming along quite well, just need to tie up some odd ends to make it feel like a 2020 Camry.
You've quickly become one of my favorite rotary channels. You have great step by step info, very easy to understand, you cover the basics for those who need it, you're very chill and definitely someone I'd attempt to befriend. Definitely have helped me with the emission delete portion of my first rebuild! So thanks man, keep up the great work 💪I and im sure many others appreciate it
TYSM THAT LITERALLY MADE MY DAY
Your emissions delete vids are really great. This looks like an s4 so I have to apply some stuff to my s5. More people need to see this because very few people can accurately document this.
Hey man I did it in my s5 but now it’s runs rough and doesn’t stay on could you shed some light
@@mateomontoya2995 depends what you did, especially if you deleted the air pump you could have some big problems with an s5
@@kevinbacker7477 i did take the air pump out but I still have I also took the airlines out
@@mateomontoya2995 the s5 needs the air pump, without it the 5th and 6th ports won't open. It's best to start working your way back and find out what you deleted that caused the issue you're having. Sometimes it's an incorrect connection and sometimes it's as simple as not connecting a hose. I'd start by putting the airpump back on and if that doesn't work then recheck every single vacuum hose connection
@@kevinbacker7477 which ports did you leave connected I capped all of them and kinda been connecting some here and there just to see if anything changes
Yo, good lookin out man, really appreciate the knowledge here
About to start on mine with your info ma not 💪🏾great thanks for the help and detailed video keep it up.
Hey Peter. After watching your video, I still don't get how the 5and 6 port work. I plan to keep the stock header and remove all the emission stuffs. The problem is how can I get the 5 and 6 port work 0:56 by cap off the silencer end or I have to get racing beat header.
Thank you
Good Stuff. . . . .I'm trying to get mine to smogg in California, and believe it or not, this is educational for what is required.
It made me cringe watching you toss the spider web into the trash bin with the plastic solenoids attached. . . ..Man, those solenoids break easy and they don't make them anymore. Trying to get a replacement is near impossible when you need one.
Thanks for these vids, nice to see some video documentation instead of having to hunt rx7club all the time lol. What's that electronic canister/valve thing that's connected to the UIM and BAC around 9:52? It looks like it just runs into the intake arm but I don't have one so I was thinking of either capping them off or running a rubber hose from each into a Y then running that off the intake arm
It's actually designed for helping assist the BAC Valve for idle at cold starts, I'd personally keep it but if you don't want to have connected to some sort of filter or directly to the metal tube that sits on top of the intake manifold. It's the source of air for BAC valve when it bleeds off air into the intake.
How did you redo your hard fuel lines with copper? Very curioussss I need to replace mine cause they’re contaminated with rust, would help out a lot thanks:) I’ve been watching all your videos your content is great I can see you being huge one day. Really inspired me to work even harder on my 10th anniversary Rx7 project!!!
Thank you so much! Mine were rusted out when I got the car it takes quite some time but I used 5/16” copper hard line and tried my best to replicate the OEM setup to fit it in the brackets. That ended up being a huge fail so I actually P-clamped my fuel lines under the car as the retaining brackets were thrashed. It’s straight forward just time consuming you might have to lower the rear subframe to get to the back, and get a bubble flare tool from Amazon too if you can. Super rewarding!
Thanks for these! The series helped alot. Would you mind sharing how you set up your catch can? I'm reading alot of conflicted stuff on some old forums.. Would love to see or hear about your experience with this part of the emissions delete. Thanks!
Get a small catch can with two ports, connect one to the exposed nipple on the oil filler neck, connect the other to the exposed nipple on the center iron below the oil filler neck that was it will catch blow by from those ports instead of dumping oil all of your bay. Hopefully that helps!
@@thepcmrtim with a vented catch can obviously? I have read that without a source of vacuum this is wrong. I just wanted to make sure its been done this way! Thanks again.
@@RIBZOH Had no issues to be honest, I bet it’s more ideal to run a vented can.
@@thepcmrtim hey man I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind messaging me a little more directly? Rylanstewart09@hotmail.com it's pertaining this procedure and your experiences with it
Ive got a full racing beat system, can I delete the acv and air pump without losing the 5th and 6th port actuators using the pickup tube from the presilencer?
On my s4 I didn’t loose mine until I cut my exhaust
just did the full delete. What am i supposed to do with the nipple on the filler neck that came off the rats nest, and the nipple on the center iron that came off the charcoal canister? Can I run them both to the same vented catch can? Thanks
Yup!
@@thepcmrtim thank you so much! everything on forums is just people arguing and mainly for turbo models.
Buy the banzai alternator tension bracket it’s dope highly recommended honestly. You’ll have to drill the hole on the alternator but that’s easy. Also saw some coolant on your oil filter bro. Hooking up a fuel pump kill switch is not necessary, there is a yellow plug underneath the steering wheel unplug it, crank it over a few times and then when you got to start it push it back in the plug while you’re cranking it. Should fire right up.
I know this is from 2 years ago buttttt Can you send a link to the tension bracket I cannot find one to save my life
For hooking up the catch can which ports go to the inlet and the outlet of the catch can??
Uhh I have the outlet to the oil fill neck and the inlet to the center iron
thanks this has helped me a ton, do u to have to have a kill switch or no ?
Xhistt Nah you don’t
Yoooo hold up! U have a GTI too?
I have a MK4 but I'm preparing an Allroad to replace it, it'll be my daily/ tow rig
I have a question I have a rx7 of the 85 gls se 13b 6sport but they mounted one of the 86 13b 6port it works well until 2rpm after 2rpm it begins to cut sound like failing. It has eliminated the two btek or vacuum in the low intake. be the problem of the cut or failure? thanks
Did you end up finding out the size of the air box vaccum plug?
You don’t need it, that’s what I found out, but an assortment can be found on Amazon. Parts stores don’t have anything.
@@thepcmrtim good to know, thanks for the quick reply!
Very good video, on mistake here. The s4 (which you have), deleting the air pump doesnt affect the 5th and 6th port, its on the s5. On the s4 the actuators are opened via backpressure in the exhaust system! Cheers!
I later learned this!
@@thepcmrtim Much respect, I deleted my emissions today, your video gave me a couple of hints I didn't know of. Now I need to do the same on a 13b RE cosmo engine but there is no FSM about it 😑
What’s the 5th 6th port for. I bought an fc s5 and the guy had removed the air pump belt but I have had no issues with the car
@@rinse3x Without an air pump on ths s5 the actuators for the 5th and 6th port are not gonna be working therefor your engine is basically only using 4 ports of intake compared to 6. They basically give better acceleration and power across the spectrum. It's been thoroughly tested by Aaron Cakes and heavily documented online. Some people have seized actuators and don't even know that they have more power left ;) Many people have these engines without trully understanding them, it's an interesting phenomenon.
@@dragbeast thank you for the comment I’ll look into it. Hopefully it’s not siezed
Hey man what's your IG? I was wondering what I needed to do with the write up that says take 6 feet of fuel line all the way back. Is that not needed?
I include that in the video, one goes on the feed the other goes on the return. It’s @jazzzisnotdead
11:35 of the video shows you what to do with those two fuel lines.
@@thepcmrtim thanks man! i watched it 4 times never noticed that lol. i dont even know where it goes to. man learning how to work on cars is hard!!!! i will figure it out day by day though.
@@asianboyyy117 The shorter fuel hose goes from the fuel filter to the primary rail and the longer fuel hose goes from the fuel return hardline onto the secondary rail (next to the fuel pressure regulator)
@@thepcmrtim thank you!!!!
Wish u lived close tonme id pay you to do this for me
