  • Simple ballade au piano qui contraste avec le reste de l'album, Horizons into Battlegrounds est un titre très intime, dénudé, dont le texte est un appel à l'aide, une étreinte amoureuse tendre, comme une accalmie dans le vacarme.

I honestly appreciate that they credit all the musicians individually. Also surprised woodkid used a bass clarinet in the arrangement but it really does tie in the sound together.

This string arranging is so rich. I think it would be awesome to hear an Olafur Arnalds + Woodkid collaboration.

A wee too bad that his voice being rather low, his diction as well is not very clear. But he's French, and the specificity of French singers is to mumble words when they sing, as they are not often as well very good singers... I mean their voice are not settled-posé, the voice is being an instrument as any other. Therefore and IMHO here, it could be even much better if worked more properly, the sextet there behind being sort of withdrawn, softly restraint, perfect. Then for some who wonder what these "Horizons into Battlegrounds" are about, a call for help, a tender loving embrace, like a lull in the din, here's underneath the intimate lyrics.
Let the silence ease the wildness
Your embrace clears the storm in my head
Why do I love you more when I'm wasted?
I only welcome care when I'm wounded
You are a promise of brightness
The triumph of life over self-hate
But I take all you give for granted
What really matters I keep breaking
    I'm turning horizons into battlegrounds
I cannot walk ahead without your guidance
    Can I hold on
Can I hold on to you?
    Can I hold on
Can I hold on to you?
    Can reliance ease the madness
When every voice says I'm worthless?
I thought I would find the force from fighting
But if I win alone, I'm losing
    I'm turning horizons into battlegrounds
I cannot walk ahead without your guidance
    I'm turning horizon into battlegrounds
And every step I take, without a sound
    Can I hold on
Can I hold on to you?
    Can I hold on
Can I hold on to you?
    Can I hold on
Can I hold on to you?
    Can I hold on
Can I hold on to you?
