    Hey love… do you have the ability to consult with an MFM doctor? These are maternal fetal medicine doctors so a little more advanced than regular ob’s. Only asking because I worked in ob for many years and yes they always warned us about the possibility of uterine rupture with a trial of labor. But with you specifically since you also have a fibroid it makes me worried about the extra strain it will put on your uterus during labor. I am a c section mom also, so I know exactly how you feel! My second baby was only 6.6 lbs I wish I would’ve advocated more for a Vbac. But at the end of the day healthy mom and baby are all that matters. Just a thought tho, wishing you all the best 💙💙💙

    Dr.s’ now in days do their job for the money not for the people and they want it to be fast and easy and schedule so that’s why they push the c section. I am always about holistic dr.’s and holistic dentist.
    I am glad you you went different places and not just go with the first dr. ❤

    I didnt want a c section after my first and only had 30% chances of having a successful vbac and thank God I was able to, I had 2 natural births already 🫶🏻 c sections are hard on your body! Is not easy so yes try for a vbac! Dont let anyone scare you! Always look for another option youre happy with because even with a csection you can still bleed out or whatever so please do your research to see what doctors are best to help you and if you still prefer a csection thats fine too!

    Hi Laura- I mentioned before that I had a successful VBAC back in October. The way I got my body ready was walking a lot, bouncing on a yoga ball every day, raspberry leaf tea after 32 weeks but it’s recommended to wait until 36 weeks. I did some stretching exercises por my pelvis . There’s good videos here on RUclips that can help you prepare your body. Last but not least😊, you have to vision yourself pushing that baby out girl. Our mind is very powerful. You got this !! 💪🏻

    I had a Csection in 2018, then I got pregnant in 2020 and was recommended to a clinic where 3 doctors try to do vbacs IF POSSIBLE. My doctor educated me so much, she read my surgery papers throughly and said the same thing. “Csection will always be a possibility because we don’t know how our bodies will react after a Csection” thank God for putting her in my way, I’m going back to her for my 4th pregnancy and she said she can’t believe I’m going for my 3rd vbac 😭💖 nothing is the easy way out but thank God these doctors know what they’re doing 💗

    I also had a vbac April 2023. I feel like my first dr was trying to scare me into another C-section but I didn't want to. I wanted a vaginal birth. With the second dr she explained everything and was super informative. She even told me the percentage of bleeding out was less than 1% which made me feel so much better. I went into natural labor at 38 weeks and waited at home through the contractions until I couldnt take it and when I got to the hospital I was already 6cm dilated! And pushed for about 20 min and he was out

    It takes 3 days for your milk to come out. With my 3rd baby I learned babies are born with a “fat layer” because their bodies know our milk won’t kick in fast. My baby was lached on me every hour for the first 3 days. I didn’t bottle feed although I was so nervous my baby wasn’t getting milk. But I promise you, they are! So even if you think your body isn’t producing milk, you are. And your baby has that fat layer to keep them alive the first few days while your milk comes.
    Knowing this, I was FINALLY successful at breastfeeding my 3rd baby. My first two were bottle fed.

    • @lillymurray8408
      @lillymurray8408 6 месяцев назад

      My milk came in, in 24 hours. Pumping is super important to establish a good supply. I nursed my daughter for almost 2.5 years.

    • @lillymurray8408
      @lillymurray8408 6 месяцев назад

      and you’re right. Alot of women give up on nursing mainly because hospital staff isn’t up to date on current nursing practices and they scare new moms who have never nursed before into thinking the absolute worst and they get discouraged and stop.

    • @lillymurray8408
      @lillymurray8408 6 месяцев назад

      And you’re right. Your body knows when baby is latched milk is always there for baby. Colostrum is the first day or 2. Your body knows the difference between pump and baby. The moment that baby saliva touches your nipple your body knows milk needs to be provided.

    Keeping the umbilical cord on the baby after birth(longer then 60 seconds) is called a lotus birth, it hasn’t been studied enough so there are still high risks of baby getting infections and most hospitals don’t allow lotus births

    I totally agree with Doctors pushing C-Sections!!!! I had my first baby in January and my Dr. bullied/peer pressured me into a c-section for no reason. It was my first baby, both of us had zero medical complications, and I had only been in labor for 17hrs. I was told that I was not progressing “fast enough” and the baby was not in position so even if I got to 10cm (I was already at 7cm) that she would not delivery me naturally. She also told me that my baby was almost 10lbs (she was only 7). I was rushed to a c-section as if I was dying. I learned that Dr.s are forcing c sections so they can get it done before shift changes. It also allows them to plan out their day. They should find another profession IMO! I was taken advantage of during the most vulnerable time in my life. It breaks my heart. My biggest regret is not having a midwife to advocate for me. It is so sad that we can’t trust our doctors to make the best suggestions based on our wants and needs. We are just another number… and I totally felt that.💔 I will definitely be trying for a VBAC with my next.

    Laura you got this!
    You need to have a good mindset going in. Throughout this pregnancy just keep saying “I’m going to have a VBAC” and you have a high pain tolerance so you can totally do it naturally. Yes delayed cord clamping is absolutely amazing. I also saved my placenta and planted it at my midwife’s farm and loved doing that and seeing how looked. I’m 3 years in and am so grateful I still breastfeed my daughter.
    You got this!!

    Also there is actually no cutoff to getting an epidural, as long as your water bag is intact, you can go as far as you want without one, I got one at 9.5cm dilated(the fear of ring of fire got the best of me) my water was intact, and I had the choice of them breaking my water for it to go fast and baby come out, or getting the epidural. I had my baby 15 min after getting it, all numb and everything, I just felt pressure which in my eyes is great cause it stopped the pain, but felt enough pressure to know where to push lol

  • @salcedolaurita

    Ok girl let me tell you. You can get an epidural at any time after 3cm. I got mine at 10cm!!! Peoples jaws drop. Lol. My dr said it was going to take 2 hrs for the baby to drop because she was soo high and it sure did take 2 hrs. I couldnt handle the pain and got scared lol. Ask your dr about it. I had the ballon in me and it never fell out because it got stuck, it does in rare cases lol. So yeah. I thought I was at 2cm when I was at 10cm lol. It was sooo painful but its doable. I got scared honestly.

    I love that you got a mid wife, are trying to do a VBAC and being open to other opinions. C-sections have gone up a lot because in reality Dr’s make a lot more money off them because it’s considered a surgery and it can be scheduled so it makes it more convenient for the Dr. They can schedule it around their schedules so it’s not a inconvenient time for them. At least you’re trying. If for your baby’s safety you have to get a C-section in that moment then that’s different but at least you were open to taking a new approach because it’s very possible it can be done. 😊

    You should ask ahead about the filming during birth situation because in a way itll help you decide between who will be in the room. But tbh its kinda weird that youre actually debating it considering how much your mom loves you. Midwife could literally just be on the phone to give u info that the drs can give you too.
    Its good youre not stuck on vbac. I've seen how women beat themselves up if the birth doesnt go as their picture perfect plan. Also, not related but is their a connection to long labor and pp? May be a coincidence that ive picked up on too. Bout to go google 🤣

    As a mom who Bf 3 kiddos. I say if you intend to breastfeed instead of pumping get baby to latch baby as much as possible. Babies saliva will stimulate the breast more and send your body signals to produce milk. Another thing to remember that the amount of output of milk when you pump isn't necessarily the real amount you produce. If baby breastfeeds he can get more milk out than the breast pump.

    I kept wondering why you were so set on Oakley being a c-section but I’m glad you’re looking for options. V-back isn’t bad besides tearing but it’s quick healing and you get to enjoy your baby. Not that you don’t with a c-section but I know it’s a lot more healing. Sending my best wishes to you y queen todo salta bien si dios quiere. 💖

    I had 2 vaginal and my 3rd baby was a C-section. The first Dr I seen said do you want a vbac and I said yes. She said ok and that was that. I got a different Dr (I requested since the first one, I didn’t like how dismissive she was about my symptoms with my 3rd baby) he explained to me the percentage of someone bleeding out who hasn’t had a C-section and the percentage with one C-section and so on. He then gave me 3 options and explained very throughly everything with all 3 options. Definitely never be scared to change drs or speak up for yourself ❤

    I had c-section, VBac, and c-section for the last one but because I declined to try the balloon method for helping me open. I wish I had done my research about it cuz the way the Dr explain it scared me so much. I was like cut me open then.

    I am so glad you all are getting educated and getting multiple opinions.... and then deciding on what to do what's best for you and baby. TBH since you're birthing at a hospital,God forbid, if you start to lose a lot of blood, there is an option for blood transfusion for Momma. God created our bodies to birth children. You were made for this !!

    A lot of drs are pushing for c sections now because it is scheduled and they can be there rather than the waiting game and 50/50 chance of them not being there and more money girl

    Had a VBAC in November after 2 years of a C-section. I had to be induced but it was successful . I did have an hemorrhage after an hour of delivering. That took them 2 hours to control and had to go through a 12 hours procedure to stop the bleeding. If it wasn’t for my nurse that suspected it and kept checking me every 5 min I could’ve bleed out. Because i was bleeding out very fast.
    I wish everything goes smoothly and have a safe delivery.

    Laura honestly is a lie that the doctors say Que nomás puedes tener 3 C-section and it's not true puedes tener hasta 5 when they cut you cada vez te cortan más arriba para no ponerte un risk but do what your heart wants and your mind & te mando miles de bendiciones y que ese baby boy venga mega sano y que Dios ponga su manos alrededor tu cuerpo y las de él 🙏

    Please look into getting pitocin & an epidural (medical interventions) and the relation to emergency cesareans. These medications affect the natural birth process and what your body innately knows🫶🏽

    This was my literal experience with my baby girl who is now 2. And I had a previous C-section and I had no luck finding a doctor who would accept me as a vbac patient. Unless I paid out of pocket because my insurance didn’t cover it. I couldn’t afford that and it really sucked because I just wanted someone to give me a chance like you said you know there’s a probability that you’ll have a C-section but at least you still tried I really wanted that feeling but overall just grateful my baby was healthy. I did have a really really hard recovery longer than a usual recovery and I had to take care of my myself basically. I was fortunate enough for my first baby to have my mom take care of me.
