"Professor" Baker's "dispassionate view" lost my husband his career. I have no respect for a person whose views held such power, especially as he was wrong.
He can't seem to understand the significance of "modeling" vs. "empirical data" - where are the 80,000 dead? He is a middling academic at best thrown a bonus bone by a pandemic - seized his chance and now seems reluctant to retire from the limelight.
NZdr of the year was , I thought, a worthy award . Giving it to Souxsie Wiles turned it into a bad joke A bit like knighthoods & Damehoods after Bloomfield & Ardern
If you observe the knighthood s they are given by the head of the british royal family (deepstate), king charlies, who's Twitter account launched, "the great reset". If you hurt your ou try for the agenda, you get an award
Michael Baker's lack of success in creating a "Personality Cult" around himself was and is largely due to the lack of an engaging personality to start with. Being a monotonous mouthpiece for various agencies and government propoganda is no substitute.
Shaneel Lal award last year was hilarious. Zero of those ‘judges’ had done even minimal research into his online history - he called one bloke a ‘pakeha cunt’ - so where is the integrity of the award?
Wiles sought her own fame and limelight on her own standing, it was nothing to do with the university other than they didn’t object to her freelancing. She found out fame can be a double edged sword, she took no responsibility for how she could have contributed to the critical feedback. It was’t the university’s responsibility to provide her with a security detail. She is NZ’s Prince Harry!

I do agree that Suzie Wiles was an attention seeker who loved being in the spotlight during the early days of the Covid pandemic. Even Michael Baker seemed to love the sound of his own voice. Both of these two were part of a system that, like most other countries around the world, were "winging it" through the pandemic. The lockdowns may have helped save lives but it's clear the vaccine mandates were a terrible mistake and led to division not just here, but in other countries who enforced them. At the end of the day both Wiles and Baker were scientists and science seems to have been the root cause of this pandemic. People were mucking around playing God in a laboratory without the proper training or correct safety measures in place and the manipulated virus primed to infect humans the easiest got out and turned the world into absolute chaos.
If her and Baker had any real intelligence they would be apologising to all effected NZ'ers, as they would now realise that half of what they were saying was untrue.
