Death is a celebration of a life. I grew up in a family that told funny stories, laughed, remembering our loved ones. We know those who have gone before would not want us to mourn their passing, but rejoice in the living.

When my daughter (age 6) passed away, my sister & I were standing at her casket telling "funny Lisa" memories, very very quietly laughing to beat the band when someone came up to check on us. They thought our shaking shoulders were because we were crying when all we could do was laugh. That girl was the best thing that ever happened to me...a true blessing.

Yes. I knew that and hope that I expressed that in my comment "an amazing group that came together to honor Joe in his unique way". I assumed it was a group of his cousins and friends and family---a wonderful group of people. A moving tribute. Joe must have been a inspiring person. It was a heartfelt performance by those who loved him.
