I've listened to quite a handful of comedians throughout the years, but it's always Regan's jokes which come back to me years after hearing them.
Brian's a beast. A great combination of absurdity and physical comedy. So many hall of fame worthy bits.
Possibly the most underrated comic of the last 30 years.
Seriously? Which part made you laugh?
The best ever in my opinion
@@craigcampbell1843All parts.
Fax
Underrated? How? He’s done quite well.
I listen to his jokes over and over, and I still laugh and laugh
When Brian Regan is on, it's hard to find anyone funnier. 🤣
Brian is In my top 5 comedians list.
I never get tired of the ironing board.
I think I cried 🤣 every time Brian performed on Letterman. This one included 😂
One of, if not the BEST comedian EVER!
I missed this when it first aired. That joke about who he feels bad for just got a DEEP gut laugh out of me! 🤣
That was his best bit, for sure.
The hardest I ever laughed was at a 1998 Brian Regan show
At 60 years of age I’ve seen all the greatest. I have to say I’ve never seen anyone better than this guy. Nonstop laughs without a single crude word or reference. That’s almost miraculous these days.
The best alive
Writing and persona make Regan great. I wouldn't say it's his omitting of edgier language
@@hamhead2765 His refusal to use crude language or subject matter is an obvious sign of his comedic brilliance. Other comedians remark about it all the time. Crudeness is a hallmark of comedians because it’s the easiest laugh; just as it is among teenagers and drunk adults.
@OnlyKidWithCamera
So Carlin, Pryor, Bruce, Hicks, etc were bad comics?
That's just your sensibility.
That's why they call it a "sense" of humor. Everyone is different.
@OnlyKidWithCamera
Regan has also commented that he has no problem with "obscenities". It's just not how he writes
Amazing how he and his brother can tell great jokes without obsenities or offending people.
It's not that amazing. These dumb comments always pop up as if there was something at all significant about it.
@@wyskass861 Well, I guess Brian Regan offends you with his refusal to stoop to your level - i.e., crude low-brow jokes.
I was once one of the toddlers involved. Well, I was 4. At my grandmothers apartment I decided to slide on the wooden floor with socks and slid onto my grandmother and the ironing board that proceeded to topple over on me. The iron landed not too close but got whooped by the board. My grandmother yelled and cried. I cried. It was a scene. When my parents showed up they yelled some more. I have no recollection of it but my grandmother loved telling the story of when I “nearly died” on her care.
Some years ago, a girl I started dating and I planned on seeing Brian Regan but then a few hours before we were going to leave for the show, she called and told me she couldn't make it due to a family emergency. She then asked if I was still going or instead hang out in the area with her, my reply was, "Yes...absolutely I am going to see Brian Regan...!" She wasn't too happy about my over-exuberant reply to go without her especially since she was a big Brian Regan fan like me. I then rode my motorcycle alone (as my car was in the shop) two hours each way in winter weather and practically froze each way there and back but Brian Regan was so funny it was all worth it. The first and last time I saw him live, and I can't wait to see him again.
Love this guy 😂
I can listen to his routines over and over and over again and still laugh hysterically.😂
That's a high octane set.
No
I didn't realize at first, but I had him at 1.5. Haha. So for me, it definitely felt like he was zooming faster than usual.
This is some of the best stuff I’ve heard from him, and that’s saying a lot. This is too funny.
I'm jealous yo💖
My husband and I went to see Brian Regan in 1991 for our third date. Have since taken our teenagers to see him and in 2015 celebrated our 23rd anniversary by meeting him before his show. So humble, a great guy!
Please add more of his stand up from his days on letterman. Hard to find his comic routines and especially this quality. Well done Letterman
Yes. I was looking for the one where he told the joke about the Planet of the Apes.
I have been to every show when Brian performs in Utah. Purdy sure I have paid for a pair of shoes or two. We love him! Thanks for keeping it clean bro... you are the best! I heard for good physical and mental health you should laugh for a minute a day... Brian Regan is the cure and then some!
Three. I've attended three of his shows.
90% applause rate haha what a legend
Funny is funny and he is hilarious
Don't think so
@@FeikNeymeWho do you think is funny?
hilarious. this bit rivals his walkie-talkie one for making me laugh out loud.
It was uncommon for Dave to say how funny he thought a particular bit was when he went to shake a comedian's hand.
Seems to me most of the time he would just say "thanks for being here".
Just intelligent observations turned into comedy. Pure genius!
The ironing board/ Iron bit was hilarious.
I love comedy and I've never hears of him, well I have now! Thanks he IS funny and doesn't swear or tell sick jokes clean. Thank u.
Savage!,,, that crop dusting joke😂
He's still the best!
One of the best comedians
That guy causes more tears and doubling over than CS gas. My absolute favorite
Well that was a gracious audience
I just saw him live in New Orleans at the Orpheum Theatre. I was hurting I was laughing so hard. Never said one cuss word. Every bit he did was so relatable.
Very cool mic-caught commentary by Dave on the material to Brian; "I like that show horse stuff!"
The big yellow one is the sun!!!
It's a cup of dirt, I took a cup and put dirt in it
Hey look the Shermanator grew up and became a comedian!
I love him and one of a handful of ‘clean’ comedy acts. Still funny in 2024.
My iron board sounds just like that! 😆
He is so funny. My favorite has always been Walkie Talkie. Ive seen him 3 times and no jokes were the same and all were so solid.
I embarrass myself laughing out loud at this guy
My wife cringes every time I get the ironing board out. She can't stand that loud screech. So I'm thinking about recording it and making it my cell phone ring tone!
Awesome!❤
True story,
My mom thought the iron was unsafe on the ironing board so she put it on the table. When I was 1 year old I crawled up on tje table and burned my leg on the iron. I have had a big scar on my leg ever since.
I thought he was making up the spy of the same name, but that was real!
The Brian Adams of comedy
Brian could've been the Jim Carrey of comedy movies if it wasn't for Jim Carrey.
3:16 Simpsons did it. Great episode.
Not Dead
What’s the song they play when he walks out?
what song is the band covering at the end briefly?
In My Place by Coldplay
thank you!!@@tylermoser2830
The audience claps well after the punchline.
He is all about comedy. Like Norm was.
very smart comedian ....
It probably says CAUTION: SHOW HORSES so you know to stay away from it as far as possible. You maim one of those and you will be instantly bankrupted.
I wonder why "In my Place" by Coldplay was chosen as the song to play before/after?
If I were a comic, I think I'd rather have the audience boo me than give me that lame ass polite applause.
Did anyone Google Spy Brian Regan after this?
what's with the clapping after every joke
------------------------- stand up n science experiments definitely have parallels...... chemistry.....thanks4sharing
Wrong
Just a slower jim carrey
This guy should have been the one to reach superstardom and have the successful TV series instead of Seinfeld
I love the show Seinfeld, but as far as stand-up, Brian is head and shoulders above Jerry.
What song is the band playing? I know it but can’t pinpoint it.
Coldplay - the scientist, I think
No it's In My Place by Coldplay
He's ok
*2023* most ironing boards are gone. All i know is that people in general, are using the delicate settings on the dryer to un-wrinkle their clothes 👔 👗
Funny without profanity…Very few comedians can do it without using insults and foul language. That takes talent.
That's not true. It's a myth that most comedian are foul and for some reason keeps getting propagated. it's like a cliche at this point to hear this said with Brian.
@@wyskass861 No, it is true. I've watched many comedians, and they *almost all* use foul language. Those that do not (and those that do) are not usually as funny as Brian.
HI
This might be the most annoying crowd I have ever heard. Every time they clap, Brian pauses awkwardly, and I cringe.😢
If Will Ferrell were funny...
that hits below the belt...
One of my favorites
Brian is awesome. HATE Letterman.
How long's he been dead?
Applause instead of laughter is stupid.
Arab Americans who want to get into crop dusting... Hilarious!
R.i.p Brian??
🤦🏼♀️
RIP
Never gets old.
One of the best comedians, but this performance was horrible
Do yourselves a favor and watch "There's Something Wrong with the Regan Boy" if you like this clip. His bits on baseball and spelling bees and science fairs are some of his best bits. Plus, he was a lot younger, so he's got this weird physical delivery where he's all hunched over and prowling around the stage -- it's just bizarre and funny and adds to his vocal delivery.
Awesomeness!
