【Synopsis】
"The Legend of Chu Qiao" is a large-scale female inspirational legendary costume drama jointly produced by Mi Tao Films, a subsidiary of Ciwen Media, and Shanghai Syndicate Film and Television Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Huace Film and Television Group Keton Media. Shawn Duo is an impressive actor, from an easy go lucky prince to a villain. He handles it flawlessly. He deserves an award.
After watching so many dramas I must say I have never seen any female or male lead as powerful as xing'er...her sense of justice is in another level.

Omg this was such a great episode!! Yuan Chun's scene in the beginning got me teary-eyed, Yan Xun's betrayal hit me hard and I lost hope that Chu Qiao would get to the gate in time to save them. I really thought she would arrive right when the last soldier died in the hands of YH, I felt so hopeless! Her return was so phenomenally shot that I had tears in my eyes! Thank you so much for writing and producing a well-written female hero! I've been hooked since ep 1 when she tried to save the girls from the wolves. I love how bad ass she is in her fighting skills and wit, and also how good she is. I'm feeling the same joy I felt when I watched Wonder Woman, again thank you for sharing and subbing this wonderful drama!

This drama is so epic that and Xing'er is over the top good at her role. Watched this actress in several dramas - she reminds me of Angelina Jolie a lot in her acting skills and role selections. This episode had me crying, excited and finally fulfilled when Yuwen Huai was finally defeated. Enjoy Chinese dramas because they don't hang on to characters unnecessarily - if you need to die - you will die -- and the flow of the drama is more natural and purposeful.

That’s because westerners are not into watching foreign dramas. Those who watch K dramas because they like Kpop and Asians tend to be more ok to watch foreign dramas with subtitles. They r more willing to explore. Also the western countries especially US only portrait “bad image” of China and nothing good about them. It’s understandable that their people show no interest in exploring the good things from the country. It’s not only the c dramas are great but their live stage performances and tons of good shows as well.

I'm really impressed by their acting skills especially princess chu'ner and her brother Prince yuan. The way their character shifted from innocent and playful in previous episodes to being devastated and in pain bc of betrayal. They really showed these emotions really well. 👏

So satisfying to see Ah Chu be so heroic in this episode. I want her to go on her own and lead the Xiuli troops by herself, without being overshadowed by the male leads.
My favourite episode so far for 2 reasons. The acting of Qin Li. Her portrayal of Princess Yuan Chun/Chun'er is amazing. I think her character has the widest range of emotions in the cast. The other reason is because I've been waiting for someone to take out Yuwen Huai. Hate that character lol. So glad it was our heroine who did it.

Yeah, it's nice to be so lovely and happy-go-lucky on the murdered backs of slaves. She is truly a tragic character and doesn't deserve the horror of the next ep, but, she does deserve to lose the Prince of Yan.

What a glorious moment when she picked up the flag and the faces of the soldiers .And I am crying my eyes out 😢
Now that it's back on-line and while reflecting on this episode, it's one of the most powerful episodes in the story. There are so many great scenes in this episode. But what makes this episode so moving is the acting AND the background music that is played during the scenes. There's so much melodic music packed into this episode. Unfortunately, only some of the background music is in the soundtrack. I like to listen to the background music when Xing'er comes back to rescue the Xuili army as there's minimal dialog.
