This drama has lots of wisdom! At first watch, I thought it would be a boring encounter with two characters that drag on with their diagloue... but I am glad I stayed on and watched this drama. It reminds me of our life as a human is fleeting and that we are mortal beings that will have to endure old age, sick and death one day. If there is such thing as a afterlife, I would like to be reborn in the immortal world or escape samsara.
Too bad,waited so long for this drama, seeing the leads together again, sadly after the first 2-3 episodes, it went down hills. To be honest, I really can’t recommend people to watch this boring drama. The storyline is dull, the costumes and makeup are really bad, the dialogues are stupid, basically everything is very poorly executed. It seems to be a low budget drama, or the people involved just didn’t care, I don’t know. They even used a filter to wipe out every expressions the actors have, to the point their faces sometimes looked blurry. 😢

The CGI .. that chaos in the market when she runs aways is done sooooooo well, very natural reactions of a bird flying all over, the way that bird hold its head high just like Shenli, amazing...and the music esp related to FL scenes create such an ethereal atmosphere...! Just beautiful...!
Correct synopsis: In ancient times, many gods died but only one last deity Xing Zhi survived. Without emotion or desire, Emperor Xing Zhi had been living beyond the sky for tens of thousands of years. In a war between the gods and the demons, he saved the situation by himself alone. But after that, he refused to see anyone and was nowhere to be found. Several hundred years later, a female demon lord Shen Li was born with a pearl in her mouth. On her thousandth birthday, she has arranged a marriage for political alliance. On her way to escape this marriage, Shen Li got attacked and transformed back into her phoenix shape. She fell into the human world in a coma with serious wounds. A vendor took her as a fat chicken, plucked all her feathers and put her on sale in a cage. Shen Li woke up to find herself in this situation and got so pissed that she collapsed on her back. As she felt depressed and desperate, a delicate man in black and white stopped and stared at her in deep thought, "I want this chicken." Having watched the whole series, I enjoy the first episode the most. It is so beautifully peaceful and tranquil and funny. Kenny Lin finally plays a very tranquil character while she remains the lady warrior. But I liked her phoenix stage the most.

I’m in love with this drama already.. I loved when she was a chicken. So funny 🤣 love the ML too. Right now it’s happy, but seeing clips. It looks like there is going to be really sad moments & maybe not a happy ending. I don’t know we will have to wait & see.

I just finished the last episode, episode 39. I love this drama more than Princess Agents. Get ready to cry for a few episodes. But the last two episodes are super sweet. I love that the ending is not rushed. It fulfilled everything I wanted to see of these two from Princess Agents.
