    Except for Neo Vent ll , this equals or beats any of the more expensive pedals ... Also comes with a 5 year warrantee. Just remember to run this in Leslie mode... another thing to know. The reason that NUX sounds so good is , because some Strymon engineers jumped ship and are developing for NUX. Can’t beat the price with a stick !
    One more important thing about the Lex and Roctary. The Lex has a built in “ Noise Gate “ that kicks in when not playing to hide its “ Noise “ ! The Roctary doesn’t need one, because it’s not noisy. Just remember to use a quality power supply. No Daisy Chains either. That goes for both of these units :

    One very important thing to know about this pedal is that you have to power on the pedal while holding down the FAST switch in order to get a LESLIE sound otherwise the pedal produces a standard rotary effect !!!!! The difference between the 2 sounds is VERY noticeable. Great pedal. Fantastic Leslie sound but the octave + and - sounds are not convincing at all and completely useless. Always use the pedal in stereo, it sounds amazing ! Nux and Mooer are becoming some of my favorite brands like Electro-Harmonix, very innovative.

    The Rotary alone sounds very good to me, but the Octaver - thank God - does not at all sound similar to the Boss Octaver, which I never liked, rather like a Hammond B-3, in other words, with Rotary and Octaver combined, your guitar sounds very much like Jon Lord on organ. Not the worst choice and also a lot of fun! Also for the audience.
    Another big advantage, the Octaver is polyphonic!
    You can go even crazier, if additionally combining the Roctary with the Montreux Vibe (Unibe). In front of a Plexi, of course... Or with the Tape Core...
    I usually am not a great fan of Chinese pedals, but Nux really seems to do a very good job.

  • @arnaudnoar3345
    @arnaudnoar3345 3 года назад

    Bonjour et merci !just my sent..I have it but....I don't use the internal drive, the octave section is too simple to be efficient enough but the rotary section is very nice! Then if the pedal was only the half-size with rotary only, or rotary plus complete octave work, it would has been a killer pedal!..but in this price range, with such built quality and sound research, Nux has once again gave us the proof of their interest in our guitar world!

    • @eyeball226
      @eyeball226 5 лет назад

      Yeah. The default mode assumes you're going into a guitar amp and have your own cab, so it skips the cabsim. As byebyecali says, the other mode includes leslie cabinet simulation so you can go straight into the mixer. This would probably work best at a gig with an ABY switcher. You'd leave the rotary pedal on all the time and get your dry sound by sending the guitar to your amp and the rotary sound through the desk.
      >You should hear a difference from the change in impedance .
      It's not the change in impedance that you hear, it's the actual effect of the cabsim.

      I'd put it last , originally it was the element that spun the sound out into the crowd no matter what was plugged into it- the real deal was a powered speaker cab with the Hammond plugged into it. You would turn the "amp" aka drive on this pedal off if you had some preferred dirt pedal in front of it. But really there are no rules. 🎵

      @@imagzz4942 Good point but in this case octave is married to the Leslie emulator with no apparent "order" so it's a unique situation. It would take 30 seconds to try before or after whatever fx you have or use. I personally wouldn't be using the octave thing in this pedal - it's like a nice bonus to a good "half price" Leslie emulator compared to the Strymon and EHX Lester G pedal's prices. But if I want to use it in my Logic Pro rig (and I do) I will HAVE to use it on the front end of the interface into the Mac before any signal processing or amps can be assigned from Logic so I have no choice. 🎸
