@@DeDaDoDu Have you even played this expansion? I have not encountered any of that. Anima is required for the cosmetic rewards. And Renown is locked behind weekly quests. Which also locks a lot of the rewards.
There is no anima grind, most of the 1000 you'll get from content you'll do anyway and throw in 2-3 wqs to fill it. That's also the first renown, the second you'll get while you're doing the maw which you'd also be doing anyway for the sockets later on. Someone explain me this: Method got burnt cause supposedly they all knew what a piece of crap Josh was and hid it. Now they all leave, make a new guild named Echo, and suddenly all is cool again while Sco is left to sink with the ship?
Method got burnt because the leadership of the guild should have done more about the whole Josh sitaution. This idea that the raiders all knew and should be blamed for "not noticing sooner" is a very common idea that is wrong in almost all cases. When people say "If it was someone close to me, I would have known" they're just ignorant. If there's anything research can tell us for sure it's that in cases like this, the people closest to the perpetrator very seldom know or notice. They are not to blame, it's just basic behaviour.
Sco knew for sure though as it was reported to him and other leaders, and he is at the top of that pile, whereas the guys who just log on to play video games likely didn't get involved in weird politics. Normal people don't know everything about the people they play games with. They have real life friends for drama.

@@DeDaDoDu Have you even played this expansion? I have not encountered any of that. Anima is required for the cosmetic rewards. And Renown is locked behind weekly quests. Which also locks a lot of the rewards.
You're bad
@@Michael-ub4vl How so?
There is no anima grind, most of the 1000 you'll get from content you'll do anyway and throw in 2-3 wqs to fill it.
That's also the first renown, the second you'll get while you're doing the maw which you'd also be doing anyway for the sockets later on. (tedious yes, definitely more of a grind, but still not as bad as islands since your time there is limited.)
Now take a look at torghast, which to be fair requires a bit more time investment at the start, just to unlock it completely. (much easier and faster in groups) However less of a hassle after that, since you'll only do the highest layer of each wing.
The real grind this time (as said multiple times throughout the video) is the gear your characters are wearing.
Anything else is cosmetic and of no consequence in this context.
If asmon see's this here is his reminder that preach is going to have more hair than he does soon

I want raids to come out at same time in all zones!
Goodluck with that as US is about 8 hours after EU, meaning that when they get a new raid its usually 4-5 PM here in Sweden the day before ours launch, kinda bullshit tbh as US can easily claim world first way before others just by this simple thing.
@@dennispyxen7873 Yeah but, fortunately speaking, the 8 hours haven't really influenced any winners yet. When Limit won, it was by way more than the 8 hour headstart.
@@faveology they should measure it by which guild killed it within the least amount of progression time. That should prove which guild is the best one, not which ones who have played it the most hours.
Thank you for a very very nice video. This just proves that blizz should not try to change the game to push out split runs and multicharactering bcs as you see clearly. These guilds spend every single second and take every single advantage they can to secure a victory! Which to me is also really amazing to see, how much minmaxing can be done
How are people cheesing sun king?
Instead of using the pillars to heal per the mechanic, as I understand it they are just taking a load of healers in there and spamming the boss instead.

How does even Limit/Method find the way to get all their millions of gold, are they really buying tokens for that amount? I'd say that would be a huge waste of real life money.
that gold will be borrowed from the big boosting communities. Last tier/xpac, some was actually bought from a community, dont think we'll be seeing that again. 1/10/9 lol
I'm curious about how people feel about the fact that so much RL money is spent and how that effects the "competitive integrity", seems legit shady. I hate, hate, HATE that Mythic BOE's drop. Silly.
Mythic BoEs are nice for a majority of the community. Just because there's shananigans by world first guilds to buy them and spend potentially $100s in server transfers and whatnot doesn't mean they need to go.
@@Jaigarful I'm not sure what to say if you think that a "majority" of the community can pay half a mill a slot :)
@@Jaigarful Last tier Method/Echo spent 5 figures (10,000+) to just buy the gold to get the gear they used....and lost.
@@HT-jj5sx Where did you get these numbers from? I heard it was a gold loan, hence all the runs they did afterwards so most of the $$$ spent came from blizzard services.
Also, half a mil a slot isn't bad. You can make a lot of money quick in WoW if you know how, and theres still players with 20+ mil gold earned from WoD.
@@Jaigarful There is a whole breakdown of Skype logs with the info with the gold sellers ( I think Asmon even went over the whole thing for a couple hours with the actual broker). You can see the RL telling the dude "let me know when we get to 9k", then later bumping it up to 10k. I really dislike the idea that this portion of Wow has become kinda Pay to Win. Cheapens the whole deal really.
Wait wait wait, method died? Can anyone link me somewhere to read up on what happened?
tl:dr version. Some members of the team or staff (don't remember) got #metoo'd. No idea if it was legit, but the shtistorm was so bad that they were forced to kick the accused members, who happened to be fairly critical in their positions, and it completely collapsed the entire thing.
@@luciussvartwulf6630 you do remember method josh right? yeah it was fucking real
@@abeardedhoboTV no, i don't remember. I didn't keep up with celebrity rather than to note that it was yet another #metoo shitstorm which seemed to be more than happy to paint everyone with the same brush, namely guilty.

Whoever made that thumbnail should be fired. Actually cursed.
Someone explain me this: Method got burnt cause supposedly they all knew what a piece of crap Josh was and hid it. Now they all leave, make a new guild named Echo, and suddenly all is cool again while Sco is left to sink with the ship?
The players claim they didnt know the extent of the Josh allegations which is 100% BS, but Sco and Method leadership took all the heat off of them.
@@axelwedelin92 bud they knew was josh was doing but winning the world first race was more important. Any of them could have said something and had him removed from the team but they didnt
@@VeeDubBeetle Like I said, if it was you or me, the likelihood is, none of us would have known and done anything either. That's just the stats talking. He was their friend, he downplayed it, he made them trust him, they didn't want it to be true etc. etc. It's just the way it is.
I hope a third guild takes the win. I can't stand Complexity Limits raidlead (He seems like a douce, in my opinion. Also the fact that their mage sues another over some dumb BS with a name, which he does not have ownership of - i know, i know its just two guys, but its the initial impression i have of them) nor do i want Echo to win, because its basicly all of the method raiders and i think you are delusional, if you say that they didnt know anything about Josh or the others behaviour.
Anyone who has ever been manipulated by a psycho asshole will tell you that people in method very likely did not know. That is the entire point of manipulation. I've been there, and it takes A LOT to realize what is going on.
@@OWnIshiiTrolling You didn't even need to be a part of method to know Josh was sus as hell. You get to know someone pretty well when you spend twelve hours a day with them for a few weeks at a time. They knew.
Method ....When your job is to play wow .......
I can't see how having multipul of the same class will work, when there is no loot. And they knew their would be no loot either. This was well said before time. Surely having the chance to have 18 hunters is FARRRR superior, and has clenched a number of previous end bosses
more competition is best if you talking about a product... the first world race isnt and changes basically nothing...
Damn dance boss is holding my guild back, the dot is killing us and i dp think its a dps/healer check
The way council works is a secret dps check. because while there are mechanics they are smokescreen for an actual dps check with the permadot.
Kill the attendant faster
Yeah, changing up orders if you're struggling on a certain mechanic can be worth it, even if there's a recommended order to kill 'em in.
are the yanks still a day ahead?
that is unfortunately the case. race will start officially on Tuesday with their reset, while the Brits and others get their Wednesday reset.
@@nhagan001 how can this still be taken seriously when the regions dont even start at the same time? blizzard are so clueless, i left during legion and it seems they are still WAY behind the times
@@greguk2 Ironically there have been times where the headstart hasn't done the Yanks any good.
The Jaina fight from the Siege of Dazalor (misspelled probably) from BFA was one such case. I believe Method (think this was the WF race that Preach was hosting in Europe. I forget the exact city) ended up winning the race despite the headstart.
Most of the time I have watched the race, despite the headstart, the race tends to come down to being very close. I can't recall a race where the headstart just made it downright unfair, except maybe the Emerald Nightmare from Legion, but that was because the Raid wasn't tuned correctly.
@@nhagan001 yeah but its only a matter of time before it will matter. Like preach talks about in this video it would be cool to have a 8 horse race or so. Problem is when there is that level of close competitiveness no one, and I mean NO one cam argue a whole day isn't a fuckin monumental advantage
The fall of method
I honestly don't care about the race to world first in a world where the wow token and boes exist. It's so difficult to feel like the playing field is legitimately fair when a group of players with a sponsor can buy up that type of ilvl advantage that the normal player doesn't have access to. That being said, I love your videos and coverage of all things wow. :)
Limit beat method in their prime, this half cast has no chance. Quote me in 2 weeks.
ah, the quarterly celebration of no-lifing. 8 Characters, 16h+ a day? who wouldnt wanna be a world first raider haha

"Stack for flame pillar" is a really hard thing to understand though.
@@mydogeatspuke The dps was shit and the firebird enflamed the entire floor + people dying from not stacking.
@@MarkusAndersen96 the fire bird is supposed to do that. You kill it so it does it less. Then it comes back and does it again. It's one of very few mechanics lol. The stacking is what kills everyone I've pugged with. They run away like eejits. I kept trying to stand on people when I had it and they ran away from me. Most people who play this game are objectively terrible at it.

Yeah huntsman when it first released was scuffed. Last night we wiped 16 times on council :(
I wiped 6 times on the bat with a pug group
how do I keep me hands off the ccd shade?
It was pretty rough, my guild down huntsman in about 6 tries on opening night but got stuck on sun king
It's absurd how bad the typical wow player is. The game is so fucking easy too. I wonder what draws baddies to this game? Even the "best" players in this game are awful, they will wipe 500+ times to a boss.
Echo did lose Sco, as he stayed with his guild, but the recruitment of Naowh is a great one by Echo, Naowh is a fantastic tank. I'm not saying he's as good as Sco or worse, but lets for arguement sake say he's as good, then Echo are just as strong as Method were before this whole disband thing.
He is 100% better than Sco. Sco is still a top 100 raider, but he isn't world first material and hasn't been for a long time. He should have been benched back in WoD like Treckie was.
Before some autist starts shouting at me for calling him bad, I'm not. There's just a difference between a great tank and the best of the best.
