Here’s one I learned recently. Do not take anything personally. Any negative criticism you receive from someone is usually a mirror of what they think about themselves. No one that has healthy self awareness criticizes others.
I’ve always thought there was something wrong with me because I’ve found it really hard to openly criticize other people. Yet somehow it seems so normal for most people to criticize for things that they themselves do

It’s not NEWS, it’s people talking about what may happen, what happened, and their opinions and other BS, whatever keeps you glued to the screen. It doesn’t take 24 hours to give you news that matters to you.

I go to the nearest park when I’m sad or lonely. There is a small playground with a swing set that I go to. I’m 28 yrs. old and a swing set is what calms me down. I never felt more free in a trapped world. 🍁⛺️🍁
I would like to suggest decluttering. Doesn't need to be an all-out affair; just getting rid of a few things can help to free your space and your mind. Another one is to occasionally try a new thing or something you've liked in the past but haven't done for a while.
I’m a 42 yo. blk woman, professional. Never married; no kids. I consider myself to be very warm and friendly, and I get along very well in social settings. However, the older I get, the more introverted I’ve become. I too love to walk and hike (almost daily. I love reading my books and practicing my instrument. I am most at peace when I am with myself or only one other person that I love at a time. I’m so glad I found your videos because you are helping me to realize that I probably need a husband who is like you: a bit introverted and carefree. I’d never considered this before. I just want a quiet life with one spouse to love. Thank you for your videos 🌸
Having a good/the right partner is so important! I’m not sure how I would cope in this crazy world, wrought with worry and negativity, without him. Seek out the right partner….it makes life better☺️.
Your post prompted me to reply because we share being introverted, and perhaps musicians. I got lucky and got married at 21 to a 17yo girl. Next month we will be married 56 years. But, I have 2 daughters, both single parents and 2 grandchildren. You are like my daughters any man would be lucky to marry. But, nature sometimes does not allow for everyone having a long term relationship. It is difficult to find someone you get along with, as most marriages end in divorce. My wife and I know one of us will die first. At that point, we will be alone. Being alone is natural although our cultures send a strong message that one must be coupled to be happy. Nothing could be further from the truth. Enjoy your life, be grateful for who you are and what you have. This is the life you were given, and few people enjoy practicing an instrument like a true musician.

yep,most news nowadays are about politician or activist blaming other and promising things. Strangely everyone into that as if they dont know that if the politician or activist get the job they will do the same with people he criticize, or different but more damaging
I stopped watching the news in 2020. I also deleted my social media accounts in 2020. 4 years later those were 2 of the best decisions I've ever made, along with giving up sugar and credit cards as a regular part of my life.
If anything, I’d say on the Eat healthy part, it’s important to cook more. I used to be so busy on my hustle that I strictly ate takeout. But even the supposedly healthy stuff is made to taste good while pretending to be healthy. I switched my thinking to the idea that taking the time to do groceries and cook meals that I can certify are good for me, is a better time investment than my hustling. 12 pounds down so far, still going and feeling great about myself. Second thing I’d add: just be yourself. Drop the mask, stop pretending, stop playing a game and deceiving yourself. Know, accept and love yourself. And please don’t let anyone have you believe they should have a say on who you are or should be.
Yes. If we could get back to eating whole plants and simple spices etc it would help us all have a better attitude because food affects your entire being, including your mind.
My husband is destroying his mind by watching the news constantly and constantly zombie scrolling. I have been trying to encourage him not to do this for years. Without success. it is tragic to watch him losing the ability to even think or speak coherently because his brain is so full of Internet crap speak.
I go down to my apartment complex gym most days, and I always use the same treadmill. It is in front of huge windows and a tree is right outside. There’s a bird in a bird nest in that tree almost every time I’m there on the treadmill. He’s just chilling in his nest, relaxed. He has his little nest house and he’s content. Reminds me of the verse about how God even takes care of the little birds and feeds them when they need it. Makes me realize I need to stop stressing over every single thing
Big pharmacy, eat junk food and drink sugary drink.. the doctor will prescribe a quick fix med. It’s so disgusting that society is made to keep us sick!
Life actually is not only about having fun but CHARACTER building .. as most peeps r stuck, traumatized, selfish, greedy, lost, unemphatic & have a lot of work on themselves to do. If u refuse to do so, u really miss the point of life.
10. Cry when you need to. It's usually in the evening when it hits and I have to quiet everything around me, look out the window at the sky, and just let it out. Sometimes afterwards I put on music but most of the time I just go to bed and in the morning I feel better. I believe those times are truly moments when the Creator of heaven and earth is with me in my space, my tears, my sadness. Thank you for sharing your journey!

I stay barefoot.. i swear it keeps me grounded… get out and get your hands and feet in the dirt .. and sunshine is absolutely essential… i am 70 and have no issues that moringa cant handle.. blessed beyond measure 💖💖💖

For the last month and a half, I became more consistent with exercising and journaling. I'm focusing on living more joyously as an anchor to stay mindful that trouble don't last always. Thank you for your time for making people stop and take in some positivity.

Hi, I’m 84 yo. I’ve been through recessions, wars, hard times……….at times. But have had so much good as well.we have hard times and good times, and the good times are worth it. I love sunrises, and clouds and fresh breezes…. People have disappointed me at times. But they too are just hurting people. It is good for people like us to do creative things. Write, paint, read, work with clay, music. Yes, being outdoors, walking in the park, the woods, breathing. Blessings…..

I can tell I've grown as a person in the last 4 years as I already do or have done all of these. I tend to preach a lot of these tips to my social circle although I feel like it falls on deaf ears a lot of the time. I thrive in solitude but I feel a lot more alone now since practicing these things while the people around me are falling victim to mental illness or addiction.
I totally get you. You pass on tips to a friend or family and they look at you like you have two heads. I usually recommend a lunchtime walk to people (one of my top tips), but I stopped doing so because all I got was "why TF would I do that?" looks... :) I've found people are quite stubborn about what they believe to be right or wrong - I don't think I've ever been able to change anyone's mind on anything. @@CaldonianDude I suppose if you're raised with convenience all around you anything inconvenient like a walk sounds alien. We're all brainwashed in some form or another, life is about undoing as much of it as one possibly can.
I do everything I need to do everyday, walking a mile every morning with my dogs, working really hard on my life goals, eating very healthy, etc etc and yet still struggle so much with my mind at night. I will sit there and try to play a video game or watch tv, read and what not, and my mind will fill up with self criticism and judgement, comparison etc. Its rough lol
Peace to me is sitting at my loom weaving. I sit there in my quiet room surrounded by yarns and books and enjoy the rhythm of beating the yarn and moving the treadles and the rhythm of working the cloth.
Ive blocked all of news applications I used to have. I have noticed a difference... I feel much more positive and more in the moment. I don't like the information that is being put out its so negative
I prefer to do my meditation either in the Afternoon or evening. A lot of people meditate in the morning. Honestly, I'd rather use that time to just sleep more.
Walking is a good one. I drive to see my mom and pull over at a trail that's on the way, and walk for 10 or 15 minutes. Get back in my car and head to mom's. Makes the trip seem more like a journey.

Seldom watch the news. I find yard and garden work to be relaxing, and good exercise. I give away much of the produce, so it gives me a chance to visit friends when dropping off food to them. I would rather visit in person then text or facebook ( so in personable).
You gotta have God or some type of spirituality in your life. When you know that this is not the end and you're just passing through, it's hard to get down for too long. But you have to be striving towards The Light.

Im a street vendor or self employed so I did not go out side for 3 weeks to make money and I do not feel guilty about it and I stop smoking weed as well and soda ,started a healthy diet and I feel good and Im charged up to get back in the game now I really know that anything is possible through positive thinking

I agree with a lot of what you said. I stopped watching the news last August and it has helped my outlook and I don't go on social media a lot. My son volunteers at a park and he is happy doing that.
I needed to hear the let it go advice. I’m having a hard time with something that didn’t turn out in my favour and I’m driving myself crazy if I don’t follow that advice.
My issue is trying to control life. When it doesn’t go as you’ve intended or planned, you can blame yourself - “I had a hunch it would happen but didn’t listen to it”. I over analyze what the hell went wrong or why it went a certain way, even if logic says it was out of my control (ex inflation, recession or such). I’m very analytical and I feel no one gets me, not even my wife. I need to let go and stop caring.
This is a little contradictory to one of the ideas mentioned. I say, once in a while, in moderation, splurge and enjoy a little bit of that excess or vice that you have, as long as it's not an addiction. Sometimes I get tired of following my healthier routine and I will go out and grab some sweets or snacks to allow me to enjoy a little treat after a hard week. I also get into my hobbies quite a bit since I don't have a large social circle, so I will go to events and either make friends or hang out with friends that are into the same thing. Lastly, the other major thing I would contribute to the list would be to make sure to get enough sleep. Sleep allows your body to fully reset and rejuvenate from a tough or horrible day, both mentally and physically. I always aim for getting 6-8 hours of sleep per night, but that's just me.
when u see captions with red bold letters that is a fear trigger video and the news gets us all the time when u hear the reporters voice sounding real loud and urgent , u know right there they are about to either make something bigger then what it is or straight lie about something

Thank you sir, so many valuable insights to digest! A couple of years ago I took a chance and changed my career to something I really wanted to do, and that goes a long way to feeling more content. What I also love to do when the dishes are done and the kids are in bed is to sit down with a really narrative rich and exciting video game for a few hours and totally get immersed in that, perfect way to let all other worries rest for a moment.

I started a garden. I grow tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, and eggplant. It gets me outside, and I'm eating good, too.

But have had so much good as well.we have hard times and good times, and the good times are worth it.
I love sunrises, and clouds and fresh breezes…. People have disappointed me at times. But they too are just hurting people.
It is good for people like us to do creative things. Write, paint, read, work with clay, music. Yes, being outdoors,
walking in the park, the woods, breathing. Blessings…..

For my entire life I have required solitude. I spent as much time outside as possible. I learned a long time ago to quiet my mind.
I can tell I've grown as a person in the last 4 years as I already do or have done all of these. I tend to preach a lot of these tips to my social circle although I feel like it falls on deaf ears a lot of the time. I thrive in solitude but I feel a lot more alone now since practicing these things while the people around me are falling victim to mental illness or addiction.
I totally get you. You pass on tips to a friend or family and they look at you like you have two heads. I usually recommend a lunchtime walk to people (one of my top tips), but I stopped doing so because all I got was "why TF would I do that?" looks... :) I've found people are quite stubborn about what they believe to be right or wrong - I don't think I've ever been able to change anyone's mind on anything. @@CaldonianDude I suppose if you're raised with convenience all around you anything inconvenient like a walk sounds alien. We're all brainwashed in some form or another, life is about undoing as much of it as one possibly can.
I do everything I need to do everyday, walking a mile every morning with my dogs, working really hard on my life goals, eating very healthy, etc etc and yet still struggle so much with my mind at night. I will sit there and try to play a video game or watch tv, read and what not, and my mind will fill up with self criticism and judgement, comparison etc. Its rough lol

Ive blocked all of news applications I used to have. I have noticed a difference... I feel much more positive and more in the moment. I don't like the information that is being put out its so negative
I prefer to do my meditation either in the Afternoon or evening. A lot of people meditate in the morning. Honestly, I'd rather use that time to just sleep more.

Walking is a good one. I drive to see my mom and pull over at a trail that's on the way, and walk for 10 or 15 minutes. Get back in my car and head to mom's. Makes the trip seem more like a journey.

Glad I just found this. This is stuff I need. Decided a few days ago, I need a life change, from what I am eating to what I listen to. I'm 60 years old. Life is too short to spend every day catastrosizing. Garbage in is garbage out. I am getting away from the news and looking for videos just like this. Also will be limiting my time mindlessly scrolling. New subscriber. Keep the positivity coming.
Seldom watch the news. I find yard and garden work to be relaxing, and good exercise. I give away much of the produce, so it gives me a chance to visit friends when dropping off food to them. I would rather visit in person then text or facebook ( so in personable).
You gotta have God or some type of spirituality in your life. When you know that this is not the end and you're just passing through, it's hard to get down for too long. But you have to be striving towards The Light.
Writing down your feelings are very therapeutic and does help
Agree, agree, agree!!! I stopped watching the news over a year ago and it helped me focus on my life and stop living in fear. Listening to podcasts and videos that teach and uplift me gives me courage and makes me realize I'm not alone in my thoughts. Great vid Timothy!

Im a street vendor or self employed so I did not go out side for 3 weeks to make money and I do not feel guilty about it and I stop smoking weed as well and soda ,started a healthy diet and I feel good and Im charged up to get back in the game now I really know that anything is possible through positive thinking

I agree with a lot of what you said. I stopped watching the news last August and it has helped my outlook and I don't go on social media a lot. My son volunteers at a park and he is happy doing that.
I needed to hear the let it go advice. I’m having a hard time with something that didn’t turn out in my favour and I’m driving myself crazy if I don’t follow that advice.
My issue is trying to control life. When it doesn’t go as you’ve intended or planned, you can blame yourself - “I had a hunch it would happen but didn’t listen to it”.
I over analyze what the hell went wrong or why it went a certain way, even if logic says it was out of my control (ex inflation, recession or such). I’m very analytical and I feel no one gets me, not even my wife. I need to let go and stop caring.

This is a little contradictory to one of the ideas mentioned. I say, once in a while, in moderation, splurge and enjoy a little bit of that excess or vice that you have, as long as it's not an addiction. Sometimes I get tired of following my healthier routine and I will go out and grab some sweets or snacks to allow me to enjoy a little treat after a hard week. I also get into my hobbies quite a bit since I don't have a large social circle, so I will go to events and either make friends or hang out with friends that are into the same thing. Lastly, the other major thing I would contribute to the list would be to make sure to get enough sleep. Sleep allows your body to fully reset and rejuvenate from a tough or horrible day, both mentally and physically. I always aim for getting 6-8 hours of sleep per night, but that's just me.
when u see captions with red bold letters that is a fear trigger video and the news gets us all the time when u hear the reporters voice sounding real loud and urgent , u know right there they are about to either make something bigger then what it is or straight lie about something

The news is mostly negative. True. I'm not subscribed to any social platforms. Spend more time in nature. Yes! I walk out in my quiet neighborhood where there are many trees, grass, birds... Spending time with family. Yes! Meditation. Pondering reflecting on God's way, my ways, the world's ways. 👍 Hobbies. Hmm. I don't have one. Listen to constructive content. I do. Music, podcasts, godly messages. Healthy foods. Trying. ....

Thank you sir, so many valuable insights to digest! A couple of years ago I took a chance and changed my career to something I really wanted to do, and that goes a long way to feeling more content. What I also love to do when the dishes are done and the kids are in bed is to sit down with a really narrative rich and exciting video game for a few hours and totally get immersed in that, perfect way to let all other worries rest for a moment.
