I live on the other side of the world to you but have followed your story from the very beginning and I honestly feel like you're family. Thank god for youtube and thank god for these connections we can feel from so far away. Instant peace once again watching your videos. Keep it up :)
Love your passion for the back country in an old Ford. There is no other way go! Yes, a 2 hour back road drive, .........priceless. Thank you for sharing your creative passion.
Today it's 116 degrees in Arizona dreaming of the fall days as a young kid living in Bennington, Vt. Crisp fresh air, blue skies against the deep reds and oranges foliage that you so vividly bring to life instantly bring back my childhood days. Without hesitation I have subscribed and shared your videos hoping that they will bring to life for everyone, the preciousness, beauty and lifestyle of New England you so masterful depict !
Perfect. This is what it’s like to be a northern soul, a yankee. There is great beauty in this world, that every man has a right to seek and have. Seeing these roads and trees, red houses and streams, is like a love letter calling me home. Some day, I’ll have to introduce the kids, to this long drive. More of these would be just fine. Great work.
You are so amazing! I understand your love for cozy cabins, old fashioned stuff, fall foliage, simple life etc. I used to not be this way but as I got a bit older (in my 30s and now in my mid 40s) now I appreciate it all...I live in New England...nature is amazing, God is amazing and your channel is wonderful
Hello, I'm from Brazil, I was looking for a video about Vermont, so I found your video here, thank you for sharing this wonderful nature with all of us, lots of health and peace for you !!!!
@@elmiguel6725 Nah, they're moving there like what's happening out west and the south. Very sad as they're trying to turn those places into California 2.0 or NY 2.0
Beautiful footage and great stories. Families are not made by official papers, but the love that draws us together. Home is the quilt that covers us in a warmth of safety and a beauty that induces awe. Keep up the awesome work.
You should write for Hallmark cards or something. Down here in Texas all we know to say to people is "I'll put my boot in yer ass", and "stay off my property".
We have been here for 26 years and we still haven't gotten our fill of driving the back roads of VT. We use an atlas as a guide and we highlight the routes that we have taken to keep a record of where we have been and what lies ahead of us. I loved this video and I can appreciate your appreciation for all that Vermont has to offer. Nice truck by the way...
I'm leaving big bad Manhattan and moving to South Royalton Vermont in the fall to go to the law school there, and yes I'm bringing my Harley there! I've always wanted to live in VT and when VLS offered me admissions, it was a blessing. I must admit I'm a bit scared ok I'm shit scared about moving to the country, what if I don't like it? what if vermonters don't like me...etc etc as I've always lived in Manhattan. Having said that, thanks for this amazing video...it kinda helped heal my life a bit :)
Such a great video, New England is so magnificent and magical, Here in Sussex, England, UK, I can only dream of such a beautiful place as New England, hopefully soon, I will visit. If I ever move to the USA it would be a nice spot somewhere in one of these states, New England and all the original 13 are deservedly called true America for good reasons. You guys are so lucky to live in such history and beauty, And I say that from the fabulously green, rural and beautiful England. Fabulous
I just saw your video and heard your love note to Vermont. It made me cry with happy to know someone else understands how I feel about this awesome state and state of mind. I lived there as a teenager and go back every 2 years to discover new places. A solo journey, refreshing and healing and something I am compelled to do. Glad you get it. Thanks from my warmed heart!
Your a beautiful couple. I'm from Kansas and when my wife and I were married we honeymooned in Vermont. I remember the hills, people and all the beautiful trees. You certainly did a great job capturing the atmosphere of the area. We made friends with folks from Cabot who were Jeep/off roaders like us. So we trailered our Jeep to Stow Vermont. The first and most remediable trail we drove was known as the Divorce trail. Nothing better then being a newlywed and driving on the Divorce trail. Anyhow thank you for the memories flash back!
Thank you, Kyle. Vermont was my home for the first 16 years of my life and always will be. My family & I moved to Maine last year from Upstate NY and it isn’t quite the same. Nothing compares to the Adirondack & Green Mountains or the foliage they produce.
Yes, I agree, Vermont is incredible. I stumbled across your candid and warm video when I was on my i-Mac in my office here in our post and beam country home here in Maine. Being a Maine professional architectural photographer is great but heading over to Vermont in the fall and winter to photograph foliage, barns, farms and landscapes is my true love in photography. Printing out large, 8 color prints on watercolor paper after a trip is so enjoyable. Most of my prints end up in a portfolio that I love to look through on a rainy or snowy day in our beautiful, cozy home in the western hills of Maine. Please keep making more of your sensitive and warm Vermont videos!
This is my first time of seeing your video. You have described Vermont perfectly. I have lived here since I was 19. Born in Connecticut and was always interested in travel and finding a place to live that felt right. I lived in Graniteville Vermont for 22 years and then moved to southern Vermont in 1996. You are so right about route 100. There are so many places to visit, beautiful scenery to see and small businesses that bring us into a Simple and comforting place in our heart. Thanks for doing such a beautiful video for all to see.
"long drives" - I think the long drives idea would be great if accompanied by your narrating on the area you're driving through, or something that the area reminds you of, or whatever comes to mind. You always do an amazing job narrating your videos in the past, and these driving scenes with your voice narrating is the way to go!
Yes! That would be sweet as well. Could wear a lav mic and narrate the whole way. Would love to try that, especially about places I know really well. Gonna give it a shot! :D
So i started watching ur videos for almost a week ago from the very first up to here and it feels so good. It gives me peace while im here inside my house for almost 9months of quarantine. I just want that kind of life.
Long drive. Wow. I already want to see Vermont, but now I want to go more. Thanks for the insider tips and inspiration. Vermont peeps should be proud of what you've done and know that they're so fortunate to get you to work on their campaign. I agree with Jenna below, from 6 years ago. (I'm marathoning your vids and look forward to one or two each morning with my coffee.) And (Jenna's words) I still "don't think you know how talented you are." Thanks for being there.
I watch each one of your videos for many times.... for the first I use it with normal speed and volume.... the others at low speed with no/very low volume, just for watching them ;) to me it's too much beautiful
Welcome back Huck, it’s been a while. Enjoyed the ride in the old truck, backward was better because things stayed in the shot longer. However, your comments are what make your videos. We get to experience through your eyes. Keep them coming, please. ✌️
It surely has. It feels so damn good to be back. And that's good to know! Sounds like the backward shot is everyone's favorite so far. I will absolutely keep them coming! So excited to continue creating this November!!
I keep saying and will continue saying Thank you I feel grateful that I found your channel. It brings me a unique sense of peace and well being. You're great with the camera and you have an eye that is unparalleled. I wish you nothing but good and happy things xxxx
Stunning video, wow....vermonter here....when your on in t 91, your roughly 170 south of derby line vermont in conjunction with brattleboro...next town north of derby is stansted Quebec Canada...so sometime when you have maybe 2 days to explore, head to derby and than reverse yourself back, the farther north you go the later the foliage turn which you you touched on with the early change in southern Wilmington area...and don't want to leave you a book here but when you start south get of Newport exit 27 and left off the ramp and down into newport...see the town and that lake you can actually fish your way to Canada and at the border in the water there's a phone to use to make a call to keep fishing in canada....no joke ! So little factoid quickies....20 minutes south of Burlington is Waterbury, home of Ben and jerry's ice cream and home of green mtns coffee who was the original maker of kureig coff makers... another 30 min south is Barre, granite capitol of the world so to speak and there were 4 million gallons of maple syrup produced in the United states in 2020....2.2 million in vermont...and also some farms offer overnight accommodations along with tours and they might even put you to work...FINALLY. because of covid all the local to me October festivities are cancelled...typically there 7 festivals in 7 towns in 7 consecutive days..they all have crafts, parades, tours, and in Groton here we have a chicken pie supper that is touted in the Yankee magazine as being a go to thing...and not to forget the lumberjack breakfast...and if your into trout and want to catch bigguns brookies that would knock you over...there's a couple places if ya know where.
So glad you are back. I just bought an off grid cabin in the NEK of Vermont and it is a piece of heaven. So is route 114 in the fall which touches the Canadian border. Spectacular colors this year.
Long drive!!!!! God I missed you videos.....you make the places look so beautiful. Living in England UK, I can not describe the feeling I get when watching you videos and seeing the beautiful scenery. I have also decided to buy myself a new pick-up truck! :D And I might have a holiday to book!!!
Love the sound that goes along with the videos. It is so relaxing to listen to the water rushing and the colors are gorgeous. Thank you for making such beautiful work.
Long Drives! You were almost up to my neck of the woods! I highly recommend venturing up to Randolph when you get the chance, the farmland is absolutely gorgeous, it feels frozen in time.
I initially came for the Ford pickup truck, but now... you've got me hooked on watching your Vermont videos. Yes, I subscribed. I've got several years of videos to catch up on during my Christmas break coming up. Thanks
Vermont is my heaven on earth. People don’t understand why I’ve been returning there every year for the last decade. I dream of moving there one day. I stumbled on your channel today and all the nature scenes and the beauty reminded me so much of Vermont. I knew I had found a kindred spirit in you when I started working my way through these videos. Thank you so much for sharing. Oh and long drives :)
Huck, it's great to be home!! You've been missed dearly while out on your adventures and "Long Drive", seeing trees like torches blazed with fire red, enchanted misty forests that holds secrets of days gone by and mountain log cabin's, chimney's smoke beneath the moon what an incredible dream. Looking forward to hearing your stories again.
It's honestly the greatest feeling ever. and wow! that was a beautiful sentence to read. Absolutely love it. I'm so excited to tell more stories as well. This November is going to be incredible!!
ive only discovered you a few days ago..I AM ADDICTED!!!! its like watching a great movie..not just a you tube video. i have never been to your part of the world..never knew there was so much beauty!!!! i am OLD but i hope someday i can see these for real. i have never traveled............im from florida. everything here is pretty much green..brown n grey all year. pine forest as far as you can see oak trees everywhere. there are NO ROCKS!! the rivers are nice but just flat and FULL OF GATORS!!! i am in awe of your rivers!! you must not have thorn vines or sandspurs the way you run barefoot. i love the idea of the long drives BUT could you PLEASE throw in alot of river time also...im sure im not the only river lover out there. there is nothing like that here. thank you for sharing your life and world. i am binging on your videos each night before bed. you have the most relaxing voice. i fall asleep and dream of your beautiful rivers and forests..the amazing colors and wonder homes. sorry..guess ive been rambling. someday i seriously need to see these things in real life if i could throw the dogs in the car tonight id be road trip bound..a box of snacks and a thermos of coffee.......please..what parts of Mass are you in? id like to google more info about your area and state..vermont also..love that old truck and hearing it purr along those roads..back when a truck was a truck..a real machine...GOTTA LOVE AN OLD FORD!!! and my favorite color...LOL!!
I climbed Mount Manadnock when I was in College. And another time Mount Washington. It was July. And towards the top there was snow. Ice pellet like snow. It was so cool.
Long drives. Love it! I'm in Griffin, Georgia, and drive my red, 2003 Chevy Silverado on as many country backroads, preferably dirt, that I can find, with my three Chihuahuas hanging their heads out the passenger-side window. Nothing like it. Love your channel!
I wouldn't mind going to sleep listening to you talking Kyle. lol Your voice is just so soothing you know? And you're so nice too? Your parents certainly did do a great job raising you. You're just so down to earth and easy to like. Keep on making these videos. Since I found your channel the other day I have been watching them EVERY day. I would love one day to see Vermont but still, I do live in a beautiful area myself. I don't live all that far from Tryon, NC. Have you ever been around that area before? it's just south of Asheville, NC. It's a BEAUTIFUL area if you haven't seen it yet. And also the Cherokee, NC area as well. All up and down that mountain in Cherokee is breathtaking. On and I can't forget Highlands, NC. That whole area will take your breath away. I love this great nation of ours. And your videos are a GREAT reminder to all of us just HOW LUCKY we all are who lives in this great country of ours. The history that this nation has is unlike any I think in the entire world. I have been working on my family history for the first time in my life. And I am AMAZED just by my own family's trials that they went through. I think that EVERYONE should do research on their family history. It makes you appreciate your ancestors and where you came from. You don't really know just how amazing this country's history is until you begin reading the details of how it all came about. I'm not saying that we're any better than anyone else is in this world. But I do know that we are blessed to be living in such an awe-inspiring place to call home.
Thank you for this video. I was born and raised in Vermont. I now live in Wisconsin. This made me homesick. You are right about I many things. Route 100 is spectacular! And no plan is the best plan! The backroads are the best way to travel if you are in no hurry. So much to see! I spent a month back home last year. I stayed in a cabin in Middletown Springs. Just drive until you can’t drive anymore and there I was! 💕
Nice views when not starring at the sun. Road trips are fun and relaxing videos. Back in the mid 1980s there was a local tv station in Buffalo NY that had a drive around the city video when the normal programming had ended. I enjoyed it a lot. Buffalo is an old city, with unique roads, shops and architecture. Many people who have been gone for a while, or would come home for the holidays would comment on that video. Kind of a long Buffalo NY screen saver. This city looks good in snow, and better from a warm living room TV. City streets and highways at 3-4am is when the video was taken, minimizing traffic,... and Buffalo looks good at night with street lights, along the Niagara River, Canadian Peace Bridge, etc. fun stuff. I enjoy your videos. Thx for sharing.
Ah that's awesome! Exact same idea, I love it. I'll definitely try a some different versions of that on this channel. So grateful you like the videos! Thanks for watching!
Very well done video. I'm blessed to live in this beautiful state. I love driving around looking at the foilage, and think the Newark area in the northeastern part of Vermont is the nicest.
I'm from Burlington Vt.There are many, many covered bridges in Vermont, about one hundred .Vermont has more covered bridges, than any other state.Another beautiful town to visit ,when there is snow, is Stowe Vt, you will not be disappointed.I try to get home as much as possible.God bless
Yeah. Vermont is gorgeous. I lived in the Waterbury area and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and mountains right in front of our modified A frame house. Fall foliage is best. Keep us entertained more with your videos...we love them.
Love your ideas for a one or two hour video. For me, I would love the raw sounds with a light music background, how you do it in many videos. That’s gold!
long drives...beautiful footage. I am no longer able to drive, nor do i have a companion that would take me to these beautiful places. thank you for sharing, otherwise I would have never seen it.
I moved to California from the Catskills/Hudson Valley area of NY and used to go to New England all the time, this just makes my heart happy. I've missed the weather variety, the color, the lushness, the historical charm
The Colors of the trees is breath taking and you just look at those trees and see different colors of the trees in the fall is so incredible..!!! And I also love Fall. I live in Arkansas.
Just got back from a long weekend Bless you and your truck I mean wife Great video you captured the experience that vermont is FREEDOM. Thank you for warming my day. Great info btw thank you very informative.
Beautiful video. Snowing here in Vermont right now. Did a bike tour from Heath Mass to Fairfield Vt. (home) in Sept to miss the leaf peppers. Took Rt 100 to Rt 107 to Rt 12. It was a beautiful ride. Retired from the Navy and moved back home in 97. Elmore State Park is a beautiful little state park. Take care, Al.
Best Vermont video on RUclips. Please do a 1-2 hour video of you driving your beautiful old ford around. Definitely something I would love to put on the tv for a background. Keep up the great work. So happy I stumbled on your channel.
Beautiful setting and filmography. Love that you put the truck in the shots time to time as well. I've been looking for the right baby blue C10 or F100 for the last year and very close to finally buying one.
I hope someday to be able to experience the beauty of this part of our country. It has been a dream of mine for decades. Thank you for this. I know now more than ever that I need to go there.
I think you was referring to Guilford, Vermont. Just south of Brattleboro. Seen the covered red bridge and the wooden dam. It’s beautiful! Tiny house community in Johnson, Vermont.
I'm in Ohio, but grew up going back n' forth to New England visiting family... Vermont is also my favourite. I make maple syrup here in Ohio, but love visiting the sugar shacks on the back roads like Purinton's up backroad toward Mt Mansfield/Stowe.
You really are a spectacular human being. I never realized that someone would be capable of producing my personal life ethos in visual form. Your work manages to look (and sound) the way my inner mind feels (or at least the way I strive for it to feel, at its best)...if that makes any sense at all. Thanks for just being you!
Thank you for asking. I’m watching your videos in date posted order after discovering you and your channel recently. Long silent videos would be awesome since we all have so much musical diversity. Please continue! Very relaxing. Looking into how best to support you!
yay! I missed the videos quite a lot. As always, it was lovely. Well I really liked the last bit. Beautiful. I used to watch hour long videos of trains rides in sweden. When you get in the mood of sitting back and appreciating the scenery it can be really calming and enjoyable. I like it when things take their time, there's something special about a slower paced video in a beautiful scenery. It feels... real!
I missed them too! It's truly exciting to be back. I've seen those Sweden train ride videos! They're mesmerizing. And I definitely agree about the slower pace, it definitely feels real. We need more of that kind of stuff in this world!
I have lived in Vermont for five years. Prior to moving here, I lived in 6 other states AZ, KY, VA, LA, MD, NY and VT wins hands down. The wildness and the energy of the land and its people beyond compare. Now, that being said, winters are long and hard and all the dirt roads become snow covered and deep in mud during spring thaw. One has to be resilient and tolerant of isolation, especially in winter. However, the nature of the climate seems to bring people together more as a community. The Northeast Kingdom is gorgeous, especially around Peacham and Danville. I live near Washington, which is a little SE of Montpelier.
Literally just stumbled onto your channel, not only was I impressed but I am thoroughly inspired as a fellow vlogger. Maybe it just Vermont itself but the colors are incredible. I can’t wait for your next vlogs just truly amazing what you’ve done here
Dan, it feels soooooo good to be back! My soul craves these creations and this community. I can never stay away from long, even at the mercy of work and time. I can't wait to try some new things with video this November. So inspired to create!!

Glad to be back Tommy, truly feels amazing. And yes, I couldn't agree more. Life is thrilling right now. So many exiting things happening. Very busy, but it's a good problem to have. My goal is to tell as many stories as possible this November!!
Too a road trip few years ago from Newfoundland Canada to Vermont the most beautiful scenery,I want to go again when Covid is over . Your videos remind me of that wonderful trip. 🍂🍁

Same here!! and no kidding! I bet it's incredible. I gotta check out rt 114! Think there's any color left up there?

Vermont is great! I live in Mass, have owned a camp in the NEK, Burke Vt since 1989. Just love it.
Long drive!!!!!
God I missed you videos.....you make the places look so beautiful. Living in England UK, I can not describe the feeling I get when watching you videos and seeing the beautiful scenery.
I have also decided to buy myself a new pick-up truck! :D
And I might have a holiday to book!!!
I missed them too Louise! I'm so glad you appreciate these videos and all the scenery! And no way! What kind of truck will you get!?
Long drive, still watching now, 2020
Love the sound that goes along with the videos.
Your music matches the nature beauty so well!
Must go to Vermont! I was there many moons ago, and must see again. Thank you for the beautiful footage. Long drives!!!!

Her “do you want to hear the song I want played at my wedding?”
Him “only if you listen to this burn out first!”
*peels out*
Awesome place and awesome couple.... Be happy and peaceful life... You gyz are my favourite...
I love red barns and always stopped to take a picture every chance I could. Thanks for sharing the towns to visit in Vermont.
You have a wonderful outlook of the world and it's great to see it through your eyes.
God bless you guys, Greetings from Libya 🙂
Thank you for making these videos! Showing the beauty of my hometown and blessed to live in the most beautiful place!
Most beautiful scenery ever
Love love LOVE the long drives - love it!!!
So glad to hear it. I've got so many ideas for this!!
breath taking footage i happen to love vintage trucks, homesteads and fall foliage.
Imagination waking up in the sticks and seeing this . I would tear up every morning
I moved to California from the Catskills/Hudson Valley area of NY and used to go to New England all the time, this just makes my heart happy. I've missed the weather variety, the color, the lushness, the historical charm
I love your love for cozy. I too love the cozy months, fall, winter and early spring...
damn that's a nice truck!!
The Colors of the trees is breath taking and you just look at those trees and see different colors of the trees in the fall is so incredible..!!! And I also love Fall. I live in Arkansas.
Just got back from a long weekend
Bless you and your truck I mean wife
Great video you captured the experience that vermont is
FREEDOM.
Dude.. I feel like in heaven.. glad that I found this channel while I’m alive ❤😂🎉
I love watching the drive. Fall my favorite time of the year ...👊🇺🇸
Best Vermont video on RUclips.
I miss New England. I moved out West over 15 years ago to Los Angeles and I lived Scottsdale Arizona too.
the contrast of the blue truck and earthy fall colors is eye candy
I hope someday to be able to experience the beauty of this part of our country. It has been a dream of mine for decades. Thank you for this. I know now more than ever that I need to go there.
I think you was referring to Guilford, Vermont. Just south of Brattleboro. Seen the covered red bridge and the wooden dam. It’s beautiful! Tiny house community in Johnson, Vermont.
Definitely would love anything Vermont! I can’t wait to move there. It’s like heaven only with lots of snow!
Shilow Dawn. alias Yes, it is part of Triad of Ethos/Logos/Pathos.
Thanks Kyle, great video I love back roads.
Thank you for asking. I’m watching your videos in date posted order after discovering you and your channel recently. Long silent videos would be awesome since we all have so much musical diversity. Please continue! Very relaxing. Looking into how best to support you!
The sound at the end, rear facing, was much better then front facing while driving
Happy you are back with all your adventures. Yea!
I can’t wait for your next vlogs just truly amazing what you’ve done here
This is You Tube at its VERY BEST !
It was SO good to watch this today - I really needed to watch something new & lyrical from you - glad to visit with you again - thanks
Dan, it feels soooooo good to be back! My soul craves these creations and this community. I can never stay away from long, even at the mercy of work and time. I can't wait to try some new things with video this November. So inspired to create!!
I rented a car and drove all over New England in October of 18. Stayed off all major highways. Eating anywhere without a chain name. It was epic!
Like the back view of the truck when driving, less motion sickness. Love your videos

Glad to be back Tommy, truly feels amazing. And yes, I couldn't agree more. Life is thrilling right now. So many exiting things happening. Very busy, but it's a good problem to have. My goal is to tell as many stories as possible this November!!
Burke Vt, in the NEK. Just love it, up there. Bought 10 acres in 1989, and still love it!
How lovely! Great footage. So beautifully captured!
Thank you so much Rachel :)
Too a road trip few years ago from Newfoundland Canada to Vermont the most beautiful scenery,I want to go again when Covid is over . Your videos remind me of that wonderful trip. 🍂🍁
