Basically to get the achievement, you have to kill a hostile underwater creature that the axolotl was attacking. The axolotls will give you a temporary regen effect and to get the achievement you have to kill another mob using that regen effect. I hope this helps luv you Scott

To get the "Healing Power of Friendship" advancement, you have to give the final blow to what the axolotl is fighting

OK, so I know why the advancement didn't work, it's simple;
For it to be counted, you must give the final strike, it's not validated if the axolotl takes the kill. You need to kill the mob it attacks, which will grant you the achievement, you'll know when you get a few seconds of regeneration

Maybe you have to befriend the axolotl first? Have it swimming, and click it with a bucket of tropical fish to feed it. That’s also how you breed them.

I think if you want to get the acheviment the axolotl needs to start playing dead and healing while you kill the drowned, so i counts it as saveing the axolotl and geting the achievment
