- Firing 8 rounds through both of my RTI m1 garands
The first rifle is a 1943 SA with a SA 1964 and with a Winchester bolt and H&R hammer everything else is SA WITH matching/ close to matching batch/ drawing numbers on all SA parts… I restocked this rifle with a $30 Dupage black walnut stock that is an incredible tight fight…. Also a new upper hand guard. And NOS forward handguard from APEX
this rifle has all new stock ferrules from ammogarand as well an NOS trigger guard.
The second is a 1952 SA with ALL SA parts. And all batch/drawing numbers match/ almost match witching a few digits. This rifle has its original SA 1952 barrel. This rifle has new stock ferrules and a new Safety/ clip eject spring. and that’s it.
Both rifles have original recoil springs.
I’m firing S&B “garand specific” ammo.
I’m sure the nearly 80 year old recoil springs are the mail attribution to the inconsistent ejection patterns of both rifles.
