I would say that when your are sitting next to Tom Morello it's pretty hard for your guitar solo to be a standout moment, but damn that's what Ben Harper just pulled off here at 3:02. Amazing stuff.
That's what I like about Ben, he don't need any support to do his music, he play for the pleasure of playing, that's what really artists does...

If anybody likes Tom's sound here, and happens to see an old harmony, sears, silvertone, or other 50s-70s era cheap american guitar, BUY IT! THIS IS THE SOUND!
The combo is great. But what's happening here is that Tom is singing low and soft while Ben is singing high and strong. The sound man's supposed to bring Tom's volume in front of Ben for better balance.
