    I use a soldering iron and metal ruler to melt half way both sides wing and then I fold a sandpaper to smooth them and it works good

      I'll have to try that, thanks.

    I love this videos! Thanks very much for taking the time and effort.
    I find cutting a slot in the wing leading edge (to take the Futaba cable/s) is good for small foamies.On larger models the semi-circular (sic) cross-sectioned leading edge, hollowed out, can take a surprising amount of cable,flaps,ailerons,retacts,lights!, all easily accessible as its easily removable with a scalpel!. Thanks mate, slot cutting no doubt a better option! 😉These little gliders are great for experimenting with!

    These gliders are splendid for use as a basic airframe to experiment on!
    You'll need three Lidl gliders to complete my "Scaled Composites White Knight Two & SpaceShipTwo Launch System" though! 😆
    That'd be a fun project!

      Indeed they are, and cheap too. Get started on the "Scaled Composites White Knight Two & SpaceShipTwo Launch System" and let's see the video 😉

    great vid! Question: Did you connect the motors to the ESC in parallel or series?

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  Год назад +2

      Hi Nizar, In parallel. I'm not sure if they would work in series, each motor would only get 50% of the voltage supplied?

    Just a quick question did you have a problem where the brushed motors overheat because I Mande one and both motors overheated and melted the glue out of place

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  8 месяцев назад

      Wow, that's amazing! No I didn't have a problem with overheating. That must have been very hot. Was that with a 1s lipo and 55 mm propeller? I use 55mm props and about half of the motor is sticking out front in free air. I could imagine if the whole motor was in the foam it would get more hot?

    • @astr0yt344

      I used a 1s lipo and 55mm props but I put the motors far inside the the wing so it got no air and the foam insulated the motors

    to run the cables why no just cutting with a knife

    • @bobflyman
      @bobflyman  Год назад

      It would have been easier. I wanted to hide the wires inside the wing.

      Good question mate, but what's an elrs, ah, good old Google! open-source radio control protocol. I guess you could build one of these. Get the glider for a £5 on Temu.
