Thanks for the video. Is the xy-CD60 solid state? I use the A30 volt sensing controller ( ebay £12 to £15 ) to control a solid state 40Amp relayy which works great but I worry about wear and tear on the electro mechanical coil relay ). It's a bit worrying to hear the rapid click-click-click when the battery is getting full or if it's getting to stormy. Good videos by the way. You obviously enjoy the challenge as much as all us windmill owners!

The CD 60 into the ISTA controller does nearly the same. Just control relays. If you are close to the max voltage, and you have a stormy day, you will have these clicks as well. BUT (!) you can change the time until it goes back into action. Therefore, you can reduce the click rate ;)
When I hook this system to my 48v system the turbine will spin up fast enough to make good a.c. current before the rectifier. When hooked up to my 12v battery, the turbine bogs down and struggles to keep voltage up.
I hope that when adjust the XY CD60 then connect the charger straight to the battery it will act better.

Do you know how to calibrate the voltage display? Mine is off by .7 volts...not good
I just received mine and it is off by 1.2 volts, Not happy so far, the programing does not work as should and it is unlocked and was supposed to come from the factory to my specs.

Hi. The controller switches only relays. That means it starts the charging process be reaching a specific voltage. Hope the helps - or what you mean?
