I"m 64 now, to this day I still don't know how she did this at her age, 21 maybe, my god the lyrics, her heart and mind was beyond comprehension, I know she had close family and talented musicians around her, to this day her music raises the hairs on my neck, and yet she does not get recognized for it, wonderful uplifting music.
Absolutely. For me it’s the best “Christmas” song ever written. It’s the first thing I play on December 1st (and often in the weeks before.) She perfectly evokes the winter season and our eternal optimism that we can “sparkle the dark up, cover the muck up.”
@@StefanoBongarzoni Oh WOW! I'm 65. This is my first find of this song. How did it escape me all these years? Was buying everything by her back then. Very 'The Kick Inside' type music. Need to find the lyrics.
@@anders4881 My favourite too, closely followed by I Believe In Father Christmas. And then Ring Out Solstice Bells by Jethro Tull. They can keep all their Wham Mariah Carey and Band Aid rubbish.
@ another two brilliant songs. I always forget about the Solstice Bells until I’m reminded of how good it is (thank you) and I believe in Father Christmas is as beautifully poignant today as when I first heard it sitting in front of the fire playing with new tree decorations (miniature foil crackers of which only one sorry survivor remains)
December will be magic again. Take a husky to the ice While Bing Crosby sings White Christmas. He makes you feel nice. December will be magic again. Old Saint Nicholas up the chimney, Just a-popping up in my memory. Ooh, dropping down in my parachute, The white city, she is so beautiful Upon the black-soot icicled roofs, Ooh, and see how I fall. See how I fall Like the snow. Come to cover the lovers. (Cover the lovers) But don't you wake them up Come to sparkle the dark up. (Sparkle the dark up) With just a touch of make-up Come to cover the muck up. (Cover the muck up) Ooh, with a little luck... December will be magic again. Light the candlelights To conjure Mr. Wilde Into the Silent Night. Ooh, it's quiet inside, Here in Oscar's mind. December will be magic again. Don't miss the brightest star. Kiss under mistletoe. I want to hear you laugh. Don't let the mystery go now. (Sparkle the dark up) With just a touch of make-up. Come to cover the muck up (Cover the muck up) Ooh, with a little luck... Oh, I'm coming to cover the lovers. Ooh, and I'm coming to sparkle the dark up. Ooh, and I'm coming to cover the muck up.
Rich and free to evolve musically, not to have to sing ad nauseum Wuthering heights and Babooshka on hits tours for people stuck in 1978...People who think she's 20 since 1978 and forever.
"December Will Be Magic Again" ... 59 here ... love love Kate!.. magical creature! oooohh yes! season greetings ya all, aaaaaand.. you know how it goes.. dance! DANCE.MORE.

One of Kate’s greatest songs but for some reason never played on radio. It’s a beautiful song.
Perfect timing
December will be magic again.
Take a husky to the ice
While Bing Crosby sings White Christmas.
He makes you feel nice.
December will be magic again.
Old Saint Nicholas up the chimney,
Just a-popping up in my memory.
Ooh, dropping down in my parachute,
The white city, she is so beautiful
Upon the black-soot icicled roofs,
Ooh, and see how I fall.
See how I fall
Like the snow.
Come to cover the lovers.
(Cover the lovers)
But don't you wake them up
Come to sparkle the dark up.
(Sparkle the dark up)
With just a touch of make-up
Come to cover the muck up.
(Cover the muck up)
Ooh, with a little luck...
December will be magic again.
Light the candlelights
To conjure Mr. Wilde
Into the Silent Night.
Ooh, it's quiet inside,
Here in Oscar's mind.
December will be magic again.
Don't miss the brightest star.
Kiss under mistletoe.
I want to hear you laugh.
Don't let the mystery go now.
Ooh, dropping down in my parachute,
The white city, she is so beautiful
Upon the black-soot icicled roofs,
Ooh, and see how I fall.
See how I fall
Like the snow.

Come to sparkle the dark up.
(Sparkle the dark up)
With just a touch of make-up.
Come to cover the muck up
(Cover the muck up)
Ooh, with a little luck...
Oh, I'm coming to cover the lovers.
Ooh, and I'm coming to sparkle the dark up.
Ooh, and I'm coming to cover the muck up.

The most beautiful women of all time ❤. Loving Kate since 1982. I was 11 years old ❤
Alan murphy,s decending guitar is almost too haunting this song is a masterpiece
Oh, yes. But also the piano intro and the "Do-do-do-dodo... It should last hours, in loop...

Only.
No way, mate, I'm here since the very beginning 😜
Mary Poppins of her time singing like a fairy
Her voice sounds just like a special effect. Not singing. Her musicians are just background noise. No talent.
