We are fortunate enough to have the latin Mass in my hometown. Love it. Thank you.

I can not thank you enough for this episode. Ever since I found Sensus Fidelium, I've been almost a daily viewer/podcast listener, fb follower. This is one of most epic interviews I've come across. I'll be sharing it with my children many times over!

I want the Australian Bishops to allow the traditional Latin mass, I've never been but have always been attracted to beautiful music, tradition, history, sacredness. I use to take my son to holy week services to the main city cathedral. That was the only way we got some hints of our tradition and heritage. I strongly feel my parents were duped into the new mass, even hostile towards the traditional Latin Mass.

Oh, "Gregorian Chant and silence is sacred," Yes! I agree, silence is golden! How hard is it to pray and focus inward on receiving Jesus with so much banging and noise going on for Holy Communion? Or someone yelling in the microphone tell us when to stand, sit or knee or even how to come up to communion? It's not a show its the Mass! It's prayer!

The Novus Ordo priest calls the 'Mass a celebration.I cringe when they say this. Its a SACRIFICE.

It is very silly and very insulting to celebrate the Sacrifice of the Son of God who died on the cross to give us His Body and Blood! Can you celebrate while your son is being crucified on the cross? That is NONSENSE!

@@Faith.and.Travels Perhaps it is a question of how we look at it. I was only baptized at the end of June & do not claim to be any form of expert. I'm not a cradle Catholic but a very recent convert. I can only speak from my heart & experience. How can someone celebrate the paschal mystery? Perhaps because through it my salvation is purchased & without it I am dead. The sacrifice was necessary & by it (at least according to Paul) we are made co-heirs with Christ.
      ...
Christ isn't my Son. He is my Savior & King. I am unworthy of any reward, but through the mercy & love of God, it is given. At my First Communion I wept, not from sadness but due to a deep sense of the massive burden which had been taken from me. In exchange, all that was asked is that I take up the yoke of Christ & follow him to the cross. It is quite a bargain.
      ...
In the book of Luke, chapter 7, there is a parable Jesus told about two men being forgiven of debts. Logically, the one who was forgiven more loved his master more for erasing such a substantial debt. I had 40+ years of sin canceled by grace. It's sort of difficult for me not to celebrate that. I'm the unworthy woman who seeks only to anoint & wash the feet of the Savior.
      ...
I mean you no disrespect & do not suggest your stance is wrong. There are many paths which lead us to the one cross. We all approach from a different angle & perhaps see different aspects. A couple of things written by Archbishop Sheen stand out to me. "It was the bleating lamb in the thickets, more than the flock in the peaceful pastures, which attracted the Savior's heart & helping hand." He also wrote, "Sacrifice does not mean giving up something, as if there were a loss. It is an exchange: an exchange of lower values for higher joys." So, He who needed make no sacrifice did so because I am unable. I don't know about you, but that's something to celebrate.

@@Mr._Anderpson : You are correct. The Catholic Mass has ALWAYS been a celebration. That is why the priest is called the Celebrant. My problem comes when the priest is called the "Presider" over a Eucharistic meal. Some people just try to put down the Novus Ordo mass with anything they can come up with. Of course the Novus Ordo mass has many problems, but it is because some Bishops and priests used VII loopholes to change the mass any way they saw fit. But many holy priests and Bishops in the NO are very reverential.
