  • In this exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary, we explore the sound and music behind the harrowing new adaptation of "All Quiet on the Western Front." Featuring Director Edward Berger, Composer Volker Bertelmann, Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer Frank Kruse, Sound Designer Markus Stemler and Re-recording Mixer Lars Ginzel.
    War breaks out in Germany in 1914. Paul Bäumer and his classmates quickly enlist in the army to serve their fatherland. No sooner are they drafted than the first images from the battlefield show them the reality of war.

    I Love the score, it is honest and dark beutifull, i even love to lisen has a album ... takes me to places! and actualy Congratulations to Mr. Hauschka, one of my favorite artits!

    why is there no clips of that 3 note motif? Like you guys hyad one fucking job. ;pp;p;p;

      Volker talks about it from around 2:36 and a few minutes forward. At 5:20 you can see a clip of that 3-note motif being played on its original instrument.

      @@leandrocerqueira9910I usually keep comments to myself but I agree. Really plasticy ”hollywood circa 2018”- sound.
      Morif was sinisterly cheesy, like watching ”annihilation’. Snare was taking away than rather adding.
