You haven’t contributed enough to your pensions to retire so you have to either work till the day you die or be homeless . Id say his choice to take a chance despite his criminal actions was worth a shot. You talk like he’s 18 years old and should do his time then have enough time for a second chance at life. I committed seventeen and pleaded guilty to six - my plea bargain was for 138 months. I was using heroin; I felt that I had no future. I needed money, and I was too selfish (strung out) to buckle down, grow up, and be an adult. I'm now fifty-seven years old, and I'm clean. Although I would never have considered flashing a gdmn firearm around in ANY situation - this guy got more time than I did. There's something wrong there.
