There combos are really homogeneous
@@treaon511Combos are important too, sometimes it is preferable to choose a character that has varied combo routes than a character that only has good skills and supers. In fact, the opponent has to know what combos your character has for defense because the position where the character has the kick kicks changes, and there are characters who do not have them and it is difficult for them to open their guard but their tension (hidden mechanics that makes the charged blows come out faster) is usually higher so you can break his guard instead of doing mix ups with the flying kicks etc...
Surprisingly, in tenkaichi there are archetypes. There aren't as many as in a traditional game but there are them and it's not a bad thing, almost all of the characters in Fighter Z look like rushdowns 😂
dat afterimage strike ability in 2:18:44 mark was beautiful to see!!! looks soo fucking cool in a real match
Who are yall to say whether or not a game is competitive?
I play traditional fighting games just as much as the next person in here.
This game has its own mechanics and mind games going on. This game can definitely get sweaty
Guess I should go to a local tournament since some of us peasants can’t play online still.
I dont know what is happening on the screen but it looks cool asf
Silent absolutely lost his mind with that Chiaotzu
In this format, android 19 and 20 are going to be very strong in the right hands. Their ability to heal is op
This game looks so much better single player, but how else would 2 player work i guess
People really see a whole tournament for this game, put on a big ol smug face, and begin typing "what a silly party game that will never get a competitive scene," whilst actual fgc members like diaphone has played and enjoyed the game
If you actually got your hands on it, you'll realize this is a video game that can be played competitively and played on a casual level
Buddy, you think this is the first time arenas had tournaments? Naruto had tournaments, BT3 had tournaments, anything PvP can have tournaments but this is a party game through and through. It is intentionally unbalanced to be fun and lore accurate, not to be competitive
Best comment here.
@tipotipo1997 fighterz isn't a competitive fighter then
That game balance was partially based on the lore it's coming from. They buffed beerus in one of the first patches because he wasn't strong like fans wanted.
@@anthonyslaptheknee9344 so you're either extremely dense or you don't know what you're talking about and just saw clips of his (now) meme Lv.3 and decided to use it as an argument. Beerus was one of the worst characters for the majority of the game. His buffs came essentially on its last EVO. After that DBZ became a party game entirely where everyone is broken.
Bardock and A16 on season 1 were the literal best characters in the game with any assist that was a beam. Yamcha was top tier for the majority of the game until they nerfed his Wolf Fang Fist, Zamasu, Vegeta Blue and Black were literal garbage for like 4 seasons.
Arenas will never be considered competitive because they're too unbalanced and characters are very homogeneous. Are there tournaments and events? of course, especially in this day and age where everything has an event either at an anime convention or whatever. Even BT3 and older Naruto games had tournaments but they were not the same as Tekken, SF, KOF or whatever
@@anthonyslaptheknee9344 Fighter Z was balanced around lore...
lolwut? What season did that happen? When was Yamcha ever the strongest and golden freeza, blugeta, zamatsu, UI goku, Beerus all trash at one point or another in the lore?
the hell you talking about?
I just wish more of the attacks could hit reliably, but maybe people still need to learn setups. They either get their attacks dodged or blocked with 90% of characters. Also some of these players clearly did not study the game too closely, like the guy who was just powering up every time he could instead of having a reason to get to a form.
Did the game drop yet..sheesh 😲with the. Classic double screen 😅
finally!
Sparking zero is an arena fighting a sub-genre of fighting games, just like how smash is a fighting game, but it is a platform fighting game. I would say to everyone, go watch the core-a-gaming video about fighting game genre
We need more offline maps !!!
Yajirobe and afterimage strike need to get banned ASAP
Really hope we get patches to give more offensive options. While I can imagine playing the game is fun, Spectating is the exact opposite. FighterZ was more entertaining to watch.
Exactly
Was there a 3 character max rule for the tournament?
We have reached a point where the arena fighters somehow have less cheese and more depth than modern fighting games.
And GOOD, Tenkaichi was always peak, it just needs rollback for the love of god
Usually arena fighters still have the button slamming gameplay, but I’m rather interested to know about the depth in these games as I find more of it in modern fighters even with their “training wheels” control options.
game has way more cheese than you think, that grand final with team full of after image is cancer
Pandu debería estar allí
Why was the first guy only running 2 characters ???
I'M Very Happy Game First Tournament DBSZ Legendary
For future tournaments with sparking zero, it needs to be played two monitors split screen is not the way.
At that point they should just add an LAN option.
36:19 backshot combo droping like that online all the time and I thought it was a connection issue hope they fix this asap
This was not the game I expected to see. Some old school Tenkaichi killers are coming soon I bet.
CHIAOTZUUUUUUUUUUU
Tien’s voice
the split screen cam bothers me a lil bit i thinkshoul be better ful screen
It took me awhile to get used to the split screen mode... even back in the Budokai tenkaichi days.
I hope they make this a recurring thing
The commentary was very lacking even in some things as simple as basic dbz knowledge.
Yea just mute it and watch with music or something. Way better.
