how to tell if your 2 stroke running rich and how to tell by those 3 signs, thank you for sticking around
Change Pilot Jets and Main Jets

Literally perfect how you explained it. Quick and simple, thanks dude!
Fr I'm high asf and understood everything
I agree thank you so much🙏
I love how there is so many vids on a rich running 2 stroke but no one will post one how to fix it
Any fix ?
There’s multiple fixes drop jetting sizes raise the clip in the throttle needle adjust air mixture screw etc
common sense says "lean it"
Theres a screw on the carb, loosen it or tighten it half way and see if it speeds up or slows down idling
Less oil…
0:35 is to LEAN not to rich 100%!!
100% lean bog.
Yep it sounds like it wants fuel
Thnaks for the help. My 1979 Yamaha DT250 is running rich.
Best video yet for rich or lean.... thanks man
I am very happy you are liked😊
Let's clear up the air. Hahaha! 1 the oil fuel ratio can gum up the works, find a good mixture for your scoot and stick with it. I use Maxima 927 at 40:1, its synthetic so I can mix it lean. Now on to zie carb. Ya have a pilot and a main. Pilot is for idle and low speed, main is for the upper rmps. The needle is also related to the main and it can be adjusted for rich and lean mixtures. Going up on the main and pilot should be in 1 step increments for altitude and tempature and humidity variations. There is a chart in your manual..use it! You are now learnid! Fjb😂
Maxima 927 isn't synthetic, it's castor based. 40:1 on 927 is probably fine for most engines, but I wouldn't recommend using it at that ratio for high strung small bore 2-strokes or ones that spend a lot of time above 8000 RPM.
So what should i do my ktm 125 exc stutters when try to go over 100kmh but stutters and cant go faster after that speed. Also after trying to go faster than usual afterwards it does the bogging thing for a while so my bike does both of these things. I checked the spark plug it was perfect color but still i have both of these problems. So anyone know what i should do to fix these issues.
But how do you fix it
Ihave that bogging but it happens in mid range. If I go like 1/3 throttle and pulll it to full it bogga a while and then shoots up. I hope that just a needle adjustmend is enough.
Did you have to move your needle clip to get it richer? 20-80% throttle?
This guy is definitely a pro 😂😂
Great upload👍🏼
Thank you! Cheers!

Raising the first number of the mix (for example from 30:1 to 50:1) will NOT solve that, tune it because the leaner you try to mix the gas and oil your probably going to run richer.
Halfway through the video I'm like who is he looking at lol
So I’ve determined from this vid that my cr85rb is definitely running too rich, so how would I go about fixing it?
My cr85rb was running rich also a few things you can do are drop jet sizes meaning less fuel you can also adjust your throttle needle by moving the c clip up which is what I did
Dude thank you.

How do you fix bogging that's only in the low end and it idles okay mid-range and top end are okay
I’m no expert but as you have no replies I’ll try and help I think if it’s bogging out at lower revs 0-20% revs you might need to make your pilot jet richer, get some jets and go bigger slowly see how it runs after each time….
Low end jetting issues are in the pilot jet. Your jetting may be good enough for it to idle and run, but not for under load. Bogging is lean, and sputtering is rich. Be sure as to what your machine does, and change jettings in small increments.
Epic video!
thank you
Greetings from latvia :)
Are you near Thetford ? I live near Thetford and have just finished fully restoring a 1997 ktm250exc
yes I was living in Thetford, now i not living there any more
@@motorcyclebettereveryday2373 nice bike either way Bro
Are you Finnish ?
Thanks man 💯💯💯💯💯💪🏻
What country are you from?
i living in UK, but original I am from Lithuanian :)
Hi do you fix 2 stroke engines?
What oil to gas ratio do you use?
2%
@@emil2446 Ratio would be 50:1. I run 3.125 %.
@@emil2446 2%? U gotta ride like a girl
You obviously don't ride... who even says 2% when comparing ratio's. You still have time to delete your comment@@emil2446
Aciu tau labai👍
very nice video
Your English is not bad.
thank you
0:25 LOL
Ok

can barely understand what tf you are saying Mr.borrat
