Missed the macro recording functions at 4:41 ... updated in more recent videos, but you can just click those boxes for that (Mouse clicks, Mouse wheel scroll, Record mouse movement). Corsair software needs a serious overhaul though, it just seems so messy compared to others. And why they took out opening specific folders I still don't know.
you are by far the best peripheral reviwer. keep up the awesome videos zy! it also helps since we both have a passion for quake, but you are still a great reviewer.
Wow you were really thorough with this, I really enjoyed all the extra tests you did, and great to see the perspective of an FPS player. Nice review! 👍
I have about the same dimensions and it's not good for palm grip. Have yet to find a good mouse. The Naos 7000 looks good but that ring finger rest looks small too.
not me, i just like having more buttons on the mouse to bind keys to (that way i don't have to reach over to the other side of my keybord just do pull something up in games and such)
i know this review is dated but i just wanna say that this review is very well done. a lot more thorough vs most ppl. nothing is more annoying when trying to get info on a product and the person doesnt give much info. awesome job. subscribing
No "welcome to my channel", "subscribe for more", no long ass intro or any other type of bullshit. STRAIGHT TO THE POINT and I love you for that alone.
Used this mouse pretty heavily for about a year, loved it with one exception. The scroll wheel isn't very good on mine. It stopped registering clicks reliably and I had to take it apart to clean it, with minimal improvement. Within the last month, the scrolling is shoddy where it will start to jump up while scrolling down so I'm replacing it with a G403. Everything else with it is great and if the scroll wheel wasn't causing problems, I would have no issues at all.
Although I play fps. I find this mouse perfect for me. I like to palm grip my mouse and have tried over a dozen mice from cheap to expensive and none of them have been completely comfortable for me. When I tried this one I loved it. I palm grip it and have no problem shooting or aiming. The weight does not bother me as much since I prefer a slightly heavier mouse. Anyways, really good review RocketJumpNinja. As always.
This channel amazing im a WoW player getting back into FPS but all i did was play singleplayer back in the day, the explosion of FPS i missed too busy at high rated PVP, i considered my 55+ keybinds far superior than WASD and some nades and just click heads in FPS, but boy am i wrong its a whole new skillset.didnt even realise it was so mouse dependent, You bring a science to mouse use TY, subbed
Just bought this mouse. I found your youtube channel yesterday. Just love how you are using the metric system, actually measuring your hands and the mouse and give us advice. You should have more subs. Will promote your channel. After using it for a while, i can say it feels better in my hand than the G600 from logitech. My hands are 17.8cm, and the logitech g600 is to big, also very bad ergonomics. The corsair scimitar has decent ergonomics and i can reach all the side buttons, without overstreching my thumb.
The Rail-Shots alone make these reviews worth watching. Also we've been playing for roughly the same time and I'm willing to bet we both tried DOZENS AND DOZENS of mice over those 20+ years... :-D Makes me feel I can trust you and you're a kindred spirit... :-)
Kindly note that you can use the mouse to make macros you just need to tick the right options before starting to record the commands as you can clearly see at (4.43 Mouse clicks , mouse wheel scroll and mouse movement). At first I made the same mistake of assuming the one can't do it but it turns out that you guys can so Enjoy ;)
i simple post this here, thx for all your mouse review...I was looking into a new mouse since my deathadder has a double clicked. i was going to get the new version but i thought that maybe i should look into something knew. thx for all your video that i watch through majority of it. thx to you i came around to the g403 wireless mouse since its similar enough to my old but new enough features to try.
Fnatic Clutch just looks like a wider Flick mouse I hope they send it to you for review. Can't wait for more mice reviews. I bought an EC1-A thanks to one of your reviews :3
Very professional review! (I'm not a conossair I buy a new muse when my breaks and i'm a "casual gamer" ) You have pretty much sold me this baby - it's up for £40 which is buzzing! My old Logitech G400 did me proud this seems a decent albeit a darn right budget upgrade:D Keep up the good work lad edit: i'd use your link but it is displaying out of stock... aw well
I use this mouse for Final Fantasy XIV. Highly recommended by myself. I have killed all the fights the game has to offer and I couldn't be with a mmo mouse
Thank you Corsair for getting him this for review. Thank you Rocket Jump Ninja for your indepth review about the actual usage of the mouse which most other reviewers don't do.
I prefer my g600, I simply find that the scimitar and naga just dont offer enough buttons for me making the g shift feature a must have for me. I just wish they would release an updated version with a better sensor.
One nice thing you didn't mention about this mouse (and I guess this applies to Roccat Nyth as well) is that it could be awesome for someone who only has 1 functional hand for some reason (like having the other one in a cast or, well, amputated).
I have owned this mouse for about 5 months now with zero issues. The software is fine for what it is and with a high enough dpi the weight can be mitigated(I use around 1900 dpi and about 2100 with scopes above 8x in shooters). I use this for ffxiv, fortnite, killing floor and escape from tarkov.(extra buttons work perfect for hot keying meds) I was turned off by it the first week I owned the mouse because it was a bit uncomfortable but now I am well adjusted to it and have developed a weird claw palm hybrid grip that works well enough for me. I learned about the scimitar mouse from this very video and wanted to provide some extra feed back and because this little beast of a mouse has survived some otherwise fatal falls/being ripped out of the usb port and flung 20ft. Just a few hours ago I got my foot tangled in a jacket that I hang by my chair I swung my foot to shake it free and like a retard I clipped the nearby USB cable for my phone charger and yanked my entire tower down with it. My mouse was yanked with my keyboard from the underside of my desk slamming into the metal desk and getting sent at mach 2 into the corner of my room. The fucking thing survived with only a little scrape on the piece above the 1-12 keys. All the keys work fine and the mouse works same as it always has. I doubt anyone is as dumb as I am but it was still impressive to see the mouse survived a fall like that. (anyone who is on the fence feel free to reply to this over time and ask me questions about the mouse and or call me a tard.)
I'm more of a casual quake and an mmo player and happen to like the form factor of my naga in both (I run a really high sensitivity) even in finger tip grip a roughly 7cm palm width. Was looking for a new mouse again for when it finally dies and have decided on the scimitar pro because I would much appreciate the lower liftoff setting. Sense I got it 4 years ago (I grip too far back for the double click issue to be a problem) I've only ever really used all the buttons in Quake, original Bioshock, and MMOs but it felt good in the hand when I missed with it in store and that's really why I got it. Main reason I want the scimitar is because the grid can be moved back to better support my weird grip.
can u talk about deathadder elite? at the moment im using a g402 but i dont like it for claw grip. i was looking on net for the info about the elite and i saw it has a good sensor but no on board memory, in my country it's not out yet so if u can try one i will appreciate.
i used my scimitar for one year in wow pvp. it is perfect suited for that kind of games! I raged once really hard tho and smashed my hand on the mouse pad with the scimitar in hand... now the scroll wheel is broken and cant be fixed because the bridge is broken :(
Zy, would love for you to do an updated review of the Zowie EC2-A. I got one from the new batch sent to Amazon in the US, and it's got a better scroll wheel and side buttons. Feels like the hump is a little larger making it more comfortable.
Do you have any plans on reviewing the Redragon Perdition? I've been using mine for years and I absolutely love it, it's sad seeing almost nobody know about it
Hey, I was wondering if by chance you could review the new version of the Roccat Taito to compare it to the old version. It has stitched edges which is nice, but I've heard the surface is different than the original so I'm skeptical if it would be worth getting. Hearing your opinion on if it is close to it's predecessor in terms of surface speed/control would help me figure out if it would be good to get.
MY MILE LONG REVIEW. I've had mine for a little over a year now, and yes the rubber does absorb skin oil, my hands are quite large and i play pretty much all types of games, from fps to simulators my hands are big enough i can use my typical grip which is probably somewhere around palm and claw, or a mix of both. considered disassembling the mouse, sanding it and painting it with a matte black with a matte poly seal to remove the oily problem, but i like the grippy texture of it. this mouse in my hand... my fingers overhang the top/front of the mouse by about a quarter of an inch with a full flat palm grip, so i use a bit of a different grip, now that i've gotten used to its weight it's great for sniping, can flick. and play most fps games well with it, it does take some getting used to a heavier mouse coming from a lighter logitech myself.
Watched about all your reviews by now, reference quality I must say! I own and owned lots of mice myself and would love a review on the G600 and G602. I have the Scimitar myself (2 of them) but am thinking of selling them of as I prefer the G600 and G602 for MMO. Would love to have your opinion on those.
You could compare this with roccat nyth more cause they are similiar. I would like to hear your opinion about some newer bluetooth mouse for gaming. There is not many logitech m720 reviews. Best regards.
Would you feel comfortable using the mouse in a competive environment? Also 2nd question:can you do a revisit of the mionix castor because it is an old video and you dont tell as much as you tell in your more recent uploads like hand size and grip style.
I am missing more detail about the numbered buttons on the side. Do they register as mouse buttons 4-16 or is this mouse the same failure than all the other MMO mice?
zy you should do a video where you review gaming mices that are below 30 dollars, ( chinese brands ) those will help a lot of people who are in a tight budget, thanks for this video and as alwyas keep up the good work. btw, i just got the logitech g302, surprisingly mine has mouse feets on the side. i'm enjoying it now. Thanks to you i found the best mice for me,
Hi there love your videos and i would like an opinion if i had to choose (not on a budget but under 200$) between Corsair Scimitar PRO RGB Black VS/or Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum (i am on a noteboock and it would be nice to have wireless but i game 30% of the time and i would like more programmable buttons)
@RocketjumpNinja Ive had 2 Razer Nagas both suffered double left click issues but got another one free at 18months due to warranty, i have to have a flat button keypad on the mouse, not angled, and i like Corsiar, my PSU, cooling, Ram all Corsiar, im thinking about getting this over the Naga any advice?
Hey man, I know you're busy but will you do a video on logitech g403 vs deathadder elite ? It would be really helpful to many people, including me. Thanks, keep up the good work.
Love your video. I have the Scimitar myself and I was delighted to see your review on it. However at 4:41 you said that you cannot create a macro that records mouse commands and either you're mistaken, or I'm just misinterpreting what you said. On the same screen as 4:41 you have the options to record any movement made or buttons pressed, which is really obvious by just looking at the overlay. So I probably again, am just misinterpreting, but I figured it could also be a simple mistake.
I have about the same handsize as you but my fingers are not as long and my palm is a bit wider than yours. Would the Mionix Castor be comfortable for me? (I use palm grip, but my index and middle finger is claw grip)
h Hey Zy, Found this channel extremely helpful around a month ago when deciding which mouse fit nicely into my budget. Thanks to your informative review, I decided upon the SS Rival 100 and I have found very good but not great as you put it. However, after a recent issue with SS Engine 3 I have decided to return and replace it. My hand measurements are 19.5 long and 10.5 wide and I am trying to decide between these three mice of csgo: the G303, the G403 wired, and the EC-2A. Any help you or anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the excellent work.
***** Thanks for your input man, unfortunately, there are no stores nearby that stock any of the mice I mentioned above. I too have begun to think that it is a little small for my hands and am leaning towards the g403. Thanks for the help :)
Word of warning to buyers, the Elite version of this mouse's middle click takes 50000000 megatons of force to press. Feels bad. Also, if you have the buttons to the front and don't claw grip, it will go vertical easy when you lift.
i am intresting in the one you were using before. i am looking for a naga like mouse where the scoll wheel goes left and right but not a naga i have had 4 die on me the same way.
Wait it says that the Razer Deathadder Chroma and the Dream Machine DM1 Pro have very similar size dimensions on the website but you said that the Deathadder is significantly bigger?
I'm having quite a lot of trouble finding a comfy MMO mouse, my hands are what i think a little bigger than what most mice are made for 20cm x 11cm. The mouse i'm using now has a length of 12cm and width of 7.5 / 8 cm with a large thumb rest. (Trust GTX 155) Do you think that this mouse will fit compared to this one? I like how my hand feels around the trust so anything with the same size should do fine.
how about the side number 1,4,7 some people say they are to low ..and the thumb rubber the pad and is kinda suck ?! waht you thing on large session of plaiyng
I've the problem the mouse seems to miss some parts of fast movements, eg when doing a fast 180° right turn in-game and moving back slowly i dont end in the same point i started but a bit to the left. Can u confirm that? I have the feeling the mouse does not have a high enough IPS (Inches per second) value..
i got some issues with mine tough, many of the buttons on the the side have become vey mushy and they barely click at all, a bit dissapointing. i use it for fps. i have this mouse 9 months and i dont think it wil last long
I roll the rgb wireless headset. The muffs go around my ear and it’s made of a cloth like breathable material that allows my ears to not sweat. The mic and sound is very good. Looking at getting this mouse and even an rgb keyboard to match
Which mouse is better in your opinion Roccat Nyth or Scimitar Pro RGB?
gotta say this channel is a breath of fresh air, no bullshit intro or any filler. Straight to the point and informative as I need
Exactly what I love about it, as well. His voice is also really nice to listen to. :)
It's refreshing to someone review a mouse who is actually good at gaming. Thanks for the video!
you are by far the best peripheral reviwer. keep up the awesome videos zy! it also helps since we both have a passion for quake, but you are still a great reviewer.
The is the most in depth review I have ever watched, very well done.
Wow you were really thorough with this, I really enjoyed all the extra tests you did, and great to see the perspective of an FPS player. Nice review! 👍
I really enjoy your videos my dood. They are very informative and entertaining. 👌🔥💯
Glad to hear it, thanks!
GuilloTheMatatan you are right
Rocket Jump Ninja you are the best review channel
for the record: I use a scimitar as my daily driver, have bigger hands: 21cm/10 cm and i can palm it with no problems, i even use it for fps games
toniovodka1 for what type of games do you use the mouse for?
mostly fps and rpg but i have used it even for driving simulators when my wheel broke
I have about the same dimensions and it's not good for palm grip. Have yet to find a good mouse. The Naos 7000 looks good but that ring finger rest looks small too.
toniovodka1 hey, could you help me?
i am wondering if you can change the dpi indicator collors to whatever colors you like with this mouse?
Sylvex Dragonskin I’m 13 and my hands are kind of big for my age but I can palm it perfectly
"I recommend this to the World of Warcraft players who play Overwatch casually" LITERALLY ME
Jonathan Soko on this mouse the rows alternate in texture and the 5 has a little tab on it to help that :D
not me, i just like having more buttons on the mouse to bind keys to (that way i don't have to reach over to the other side of my keybord just do pull something up in games and such)
Stevonnie Jenkins bet

Cant wait for the Deathadder Elite review, ordered one as well :)

great mouse, i was able to dial my mom last night with it
DnBsyn so u have the mouse?
Is it bad for playing FPS games?
Is it too heavy?
I just want a mouse I can play FPS games on, but has a lot of buttons.
FemiFTW watch the video
G0OFY I did, he said it’s not good for FPS, but I want it to be
FemiFTW I have it and it's great extremely light extremely comfortable and if u play fortnite good for building if u use macros... that's what I do
well damn XD
Kindly note that you can use the mouse to make macros you just need to tick the right options before starting to record the commands as you can clearly see at (4.43 Mouse clicks , mouse wheel scroll and mouse movement). At first I made the same mistake of assuming the one can't do it but it turns out that you guys can so Enjoy ;)
Yay!!!!!!! I love your videos. This actually helped quite a bit. I chose this over the Razer Naga
Good to hear!
:)
I couldn't decide between this or the Logitech G502, great review! I ended up choosing this as I mostly play MMO's, thanks for the video!
how is the mouse holding up after one year? Im also thinking of the g502 i can get it for $25 cheaper then the scimitar
Great review. Hyped for the DA Elite review
i simple post this here,
thx for all your mouse review...I was looking into a new mouse since my deathadder has a double clicked. i was going to get the new version but i thought that maybe i should look into something knew. thx for all your video that i watch through majority of it.
thx to you i came around to the g403 wireless mouse since its similar enough to my old but new enough features to try.
great review you didn't waste any words and kept everything concise and informative. subbed and liked
I bought this mouse at pax ... and I thought a new one came out and was about to rage.
ive had this mouse for 2 years, best thing i ever bought
the scroll wheel for my scimitar is starting to wear out.
cant wait to get my new mouse
Fnatic Clutch just looks like a wider Flick mouse I hope they send it to you for review.
Can't wait for more mice reviews.
I bought an EC1-A thanks to one of your reviews :3
Almost finished the Clutch review.
Yay! I'll be waiting.
Very professional review! (I'm not a conossair I buy a new muse when my breaks and i'm a "casual gamer" )
You have pretty much sold me this baby - it's up for £40 which is buzzing! My old Logitech G400 did me proud this seems a decent albeit a darn right budget upgrade:D
Keep up the good work lad
edit: i'd use your link but it is displaying out of stock... aw well
I use this mouse for Final Fantasy XIV. Highly recommended by myself. I have killed all the fights the game has to offer and I couldn't be with a mmo mouse

man ur underrated u deserve million of likes
I'm more of a casual quake and an mmo player and happen to like the form factor of my naga in both (I run a really high sensitivity) even in finger tip grip a roughly 7cm palm width. Clean and good review
can u talk about deathadder elite? at the moment im using a g402 but i dont like it for claw grip. i was looking on net for the info about the elite and i saw it has a good sensor but no on board memory, in my country it's not out yet so if u can try one i will appreciate.
You can check his page for upcoming reviews, the deathadder elite is already there.
oh didn't saw his webpage. ty m8
Thank you for reviewing this mouse.
i used my scimitar for one year in wow pvp. it is perfect suited for that kind of games! I raged once really hard tho and smashed my hand on the mouse pad with the scimitar in hand... now the scroll wheel is broken and cant be fixed because the bridge is broken :(
Do you know if the numpad works without the software? or is it mandatory? thx in advance
@@Gungarr no it doesnt. you have to bind specific keys to the pad. just go to scimitar.com /downloads and get the software
Zy, would love for you to do an updated review of the Zowie EC2-A. I got one from the new batch sent to Amazon in the US, and it's got a better scroll wheel and side buttons. Feels like the hump is a little larger making it more comfortable.
Review more corsair mice! I want to know what you think of the Recon from their collection.
Do you have any plans on reviewing the Redragon Perdition? I've been using mine for years and I absolutely love it, it's sad seeing almost nobody know about it
TheDumb12 yeah I have that mouse too it's great

the switches are holding up great, and i use the side buttons all the time. honestly feels no different to me than when i took it out of the box.
Do a review of the MX Master. :)
This is not a gaming mouse. It is used only for productivity
It would probably still make for a good video.
Yeah, probably. How it works for editing and that kinda stuff
Thanks for the awesome review, Zy! Any plans to do the same with other prominent MMO mice out there, like the Logitech G600 or the Razer Naga?
Wish you had a Razer Naga review as well.
Watched about all your reviews by now, reference quality I must say! I own and owned lots of mice myself and would love a review on the G600 and G602. btw, i just got the logitech g302, surprisingly mine has mouse feets on the side. i'm enjoying it now. Thanks to you i found the best mice for me,
i want you to compare the red dragon m109 VS the corsair mmo mouse
Hi there love your videos and i would like an opinion if i had to choose (not on a budget but under 200$) between Corsair Scimitar PRO RGB Black VS/or Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum (i am on a noteboock and it would be nice to have wireless but i game 30% of the time and i would like more programmable buttons)
I am curious, what is your preferred choice of mouse?
love the content. is the pro version better
Thank you so much. I will buy this mouse :P
Great video, god bless you stranger
@RocketjumpNinja Ive had 2 Razer Nagas both suffered double left click issues but got another one free at 18months due to warranty, i have to have a flat button keypad on the mouse, not angled, and i like Corsiar, my PSU, cooling, Ram all Corsiar, im thinking about getting this over the Naga any advice?
great review thank you
great video my dude
Thank you for the review. I hope that people get enough of these so production will continue.
Hey man, I know you're busy but will you do a video on logitech g403 vs deathadder elite ? It would be really helpful to many people, including me. Thanks, keep up the good work.
love ur videos :D
review the new razer deathadder elite and compare its pmw3389 sensor with g403's/g pro's pmw3366 plz
Yeah just didn't see it back then. I've shown it in more recent reviews.
Sweet. That means I've got more videos to watch. :- y
Nice mouse expect jumping scroll wheel issues eventually though
I have about the same handsize as you but my fingers are not as long and my palm is a bit wider than yours. Would the Mionix Castor be comfortable for me? (I use palm grip, but my index and middle finger is claw grip)
love ❤ the scimitar
Anyone know of a similarly shaped mouse to this one but without the thumb buttons?

Hey Zy,
Found this channel extremely helpful around a month ago when deciding which mouse fit nicely into my budget.
You should start reviewing Monitors, too
I have an issue with this mouse where my mouse would teleport to the top right constantly. I have no idea how to prevent this.
Hello, is there a way to assign a profile change using the mouse without using the software? If it is possible then where do I find it in options.
Zy you are misunderstanding something, additional macro keys are definitely not needed for MOBA and are hardly ever used.
I never said they did.
I'm just using the title they gave it on the website: www.corsair.com/en-au/scimitar-rgb-optical-moba-mmo-gaming-mouse
i am intresting in the one you were using before. i am looking for a naga like mouse where the scoll wheel goes left and right but not a naga i have had 4 die on me the same way.
Nice video! Thanks :D
Speaking of MMO mouse, I wonder if it is possible for you to check out Aorus Thunder M7. :)
Left click have Backlash ,So conceived? Or I got Defective mouse ?>???
Wait it says that the Razer Deathadder Chroma and the Dream Machine DM1 Pro have very similar size dimensions on the website but you said that the Deathadder is significantly bigger?
Shape is quite different, but DeathAdder is large, DM1 is more medium.
I'm having quite a lot of trouble finding a comfy MMO mouse, my hands are what i think a little bigger than what most mice are made for 20cm x 11cm.
The mouse i'm using now has a length of 12cm and width of 7.5 / 8 cm with a large thumb rest. (Trust GTX 155)
Do you think that this mouse will fit compared to this one? I like how my hand feels around the trust so anything with the same size should do fine.
SS Rival 500?
BTW your videos are really entertaining and informative!
Rival 500 on its way. Thanks!
Try some MMO game next time, even if you suck (like I do) it would be awesome!
Can you play fps (single player) with just the mouse? I am holding a toddler with my left hand. only my right hand is free to play.
can you do a review on the Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse plz
how about the side number 1,4,7 some people say they are to low ..and the thumb rubber the pad and is kinda suck ?! waht you thing on large session of plaiyng
What is the process of finding the hand size for for your mice
do a review on the scream one!
QuantenMagier try increasing the sensor lift off distance of your mouse has the option
I play fps games exclusively with a Roccat Nyth. Best investment I've ever done in my life.
i got some issues with mine tough, many of the buttons on the the side have become vey mushy and they barely click at all, a bit dissapointing. i use it for fps. i have this mouse 9 months and i dont think it wil last long
How are the corsair fans? Im considering them :p
corsair has very good kbs
What fans are you talking about?
I roll the rgb wireless headset. The muffs go around my ear and it’s made of a cloth like breathable material that allows my ears to not sweat. The mic and sound is very good. Looking at getting this mouse and even an rgb keyboard to match
what good MMO/RPG games are out there right?
Did you end up getting the Scream One?
Not yet. They said they would send the next available review copy.
Can you get it where you live ?
No, so it's great that they're going to send me one.
Nice, Looking forward for the review
you need this for minecraft because of the 9 hotbar slots
How is the Scimitar compared to the Roccat Nyth?
What's your opinion on razers trinity mouse?
