OMG Lisa was an idiot I am. I just crosshatched four placemats by chalking ALL the lines. I've seen people use painters tape before but never even thought about it. Believe me I wont make that mistake again. Both of your quilts are beautiful. I'm still trying to get the courage to do the mystery quilt from last year. I bought the pattern but...... Thank you for al you do for us. I could watch you and listen to you everyday make something or not.
Your garden archway quilt is a beautiful creation from start to finish. I have never bought an art quilt pattern but I have to make one of these. Thank you for sharing your talents!
I really enjoyed watching your progress on both of these quilts. I've done a lot of quilts but nothing like that. Looks like fun. I think of the 2, I like the finished smaller one, i think mainly due to you accenting with the colored pens/pencils. Awesome job!
❣️✨💫🌟⭐️✨Lisa -Lisa- Lisa this is Over the Top✨💫🌟⭐️✨❣️ What’s so amazing to me is the Tull , well from here I can’t tell it’s there❣️❣️🌟 it’s sooooo 💥AMAZING 💥 Thank you so much for sharing you just made my heart burst with JOY❣️✨❣️✨❣️😍🤩😍🤩😍
Both are phenomenal....wow!! I have made something similar but I hand stitched and it was a Christmas tree skirt.....and I have used painter's tape before for cross hatching, but once I had my two lines in one direction I used my quilters guide that came with my machine, so I only need to place the tape twice , once in each direction...it sets the width and goes much faster then having to remove markings...
This came out beautiful Lisa... this is the 1st chance I have had a chance to watch the replay. When I have my sewing/quilting space I am looking so forward to dong this project. :)
Wow...I love the cross-hatching. I'm doing a bench pillow right now and I'm pretty sure there will be that type of quilting to finish it up. This was amazing series. So enjoyed watching these come together. Beautiful. WHAT TYPE OF WATER COLOR PAINT DID YOU USE TO PAINT THE DETAIL AND SHADING? I ONLY HAVE THE CHEAP BASIC WATER COLOR STRIP. Again, thank you for sharing this with us. Have a Blessed day, Lisa.
You'll need to go around them. I didn't add any beads to the smaller one yet. The big one has beads under the tulle, and I just carefully and slowly went around them.
I love the cross hatch quilting so I will have to not do it on this quilt as I added so much texture. It would be hard to quilt each block at this stage so I will run black yarn around both sides of arch and around the bricks on top like the stained glass window quilt. I love it and look forward to the next on. Thanks for the pattern and your patience. 💖💕❤️
I absolutely love it!
The quilts are beautiful love the quilting
Beautiful great work, love the cross hatching quilting. Great fabric choice

You gave me the “guts” to move forward with my dreams and I can’t thank you enough! 🧵
Thank you!! 💁🏼♀️
This makes me so happy, way to go!!
Thank you for this idea it's better than marking it
Wow, perfect quilting. Best idea for cross hatching I’ve ever seen!

Hi Jacqy, I used the same watercolor paints as in this video: ruclips.net/video/8hjhgYF5PX8/видео.html
I too use painters tape when quilting in my regular machine. I don't hv a long arm.....😩
The painters tape is awesome right??
Just beautiful, Lisa. Your calming instructions are so inspiring.
I love your large cutting mat. Where did you get it? I want one.😊
Hi Barbara, I got the large cutting mat at Joann's....you can also order them off of Amazon. They are by Fiskars.
Hi Lisa. How did you manage quilting over the beads? I glued little flowers on mine that would be hard to quilt over. ❤️💖

I dont understand how you added your binding? Glue basting? What about the raw edges of the binding strips?
Hi Allison :) The binding strips actually get sewn down to the raw edge of the quilt :)
