Hi Manpreet. Just stumbled upon this video and loved it. Happy to see Maya's New Husband and Haunted on your list. A few more points about Maya's New Husband, if I may (and rectifications): 1. It is a full-length novel and the story continues in Maya's New Husband 2. The eventual set will be a trilogy. 2. The core premise of the story is based on aghoris, who have always fascinated me. 3. The story outline is this--Maya, a schoolteacher, marries Bhaskar Sadachari, and finds out later that her husband might be hiding a deep, dark secret. There are ritualistic serial killings going around in town and Maya begins to suspect Bhaskar. 4. Maya's New Husband is gothic and dark. The Frankenstein atmosphere that you talk about, Maya's New Husband has a lot of it. 5. I thank all my thousands of readers for picking up Maya's New Husband (and my other big hit, Yakshini), and for making these books so successful. Hope more people read these books. They have been reviewed by many as milestones in contemporary Indian horror.
Wow, your comment about your own book made me just purchase it. It'll be interesting to read an Indian horror novel that's not an appropriated one written by white people.
Hi Manpreet, U should try reading "Devi" by Nag Mani. It is a combination of horror and mystry and it captures how tales of occult are still prevalent in rural India. Best part is it is a novel not just collection of short stories.
Good recommendations manpreet.Anita krishan's book looks interesting 👍and yes as you told my daughter loves spooky kind of books and her favourite is coraline by Neil Gaiman
Please try reading yakshini and pishacha ny Neil d silva... It is very fascinating with a different concept.. also you can try reading devi by nag mani..
Have u ever heard about Anand Usha borker...my favorite writer's books... Megh ak shrap, Yakshini,.. And Vashikaran... U should listen 👂.. Pocket FM'S these supper suspense, horror, thriller ❤😊
Hello ma'am, Kindly review Mrs. Anita Krishan second book titled "Ghosts in the dark silence". I want to know about that book. I would like to buy it. I'm just asking you that is it worth it to buy that book or not? Or should I go with ghosts of the silent hills?
Why there is a lack of horror stories in Hindi Literature Can't find anything in Google..But in Bengali Literature You can't finish the stories there are infinite amount of stories.. Do you know, Any places where i can get Foreign horror stories translated in hindi ??
I read That Night like a few months ago & I really liked it. It had me hooked till the end. Half way through the book I was like "what's going on?" It was a good read for me. Where can I find Maya's new husband physical copy?
@@IndianBooktuber It was okay... There were 1-2 stories that actually made me feel thrill ( may be cuz I was reading at midnight) otherwise not that scary.. Short read even I, a slow reader, completed it within a Day
