It may sound a but evil, but it's fitting for Kevin: You can kill the iron golems for 3-5 iron ingots and more will spawn. Just make sure they can't reach you by pillaring up 3 or 4 blocks.
Important note: Killing a village golem lowers a player's reputation in that village, which raises the prices of all trades bc they're pissed at you. If your reputation is abyssmal, village golems will attack you on sight. There's a lot of stuff you can do to raise it back up, and something like a dip from accidentally hitting someone will reset within a couple days, if I remember right
Making a home next to a village with a basement nearby to trap the villagers in my dungeon and breed them for trades is my go-to survival strategy. It comes with the added benefit of golems spawning on the surface so I have extra security for my house.
@@catrinmelldansen Actually you can't hear them from my house. The dungeon isn't directly below it. Here's how Iron Golems spawn. (also why you were given a bell) You see, before they go to bed, villagers meet around the bell and discuss what happened during the day. All sorts of topics will be brought up, like "does anyone have any extra food?," "How has the player been treating you?," and, most importantly for you to understand, "Do we need another Golem?" If this is discussed enough, the village will decide it needs another Iron golem, and spawns one. If a villager was chased by a zombie, the village may decide that a golem is needed urgently, and spawn one much quicker. No, I am not joking. Also, if you hurt or kill villagers, that will be discussed, and soon no one will like you. If you helped, saved, or cured a villager, they will share the news with the village and everyone will love you. And farmers will farm food and give it to the villagers who need it, so they do your job for you 9:47 also the baby villagers play tag. They also enjoy jumping on beds.

This series is going great! By the way, you can execute that prisoner of yours whenever you want in order to get some iron (and bring him to justice or whatever)
After this challenge I would like to see you take on the Minecolonies mod. It is in a similar vein as this challenge (as in you are in charge of a village) but you actually get the villagers to work for you! If you wanted to make it a challenge you could add in things like: go as long as you have no villager deaths, limit the houses to a certain number to force you to upgrade them for more people, no eating food that is not produced by the village, etc.
Farmer here. For the silos: place ladder, trapdoor, ladder, etc up it to match irl. The silo is empty from top down by opening the first free door then the feed is thrown out said door down the ladder chute. Once low enough, the next door is opened.

Hey Kevin! If you want bees in your village, you either have to steal a beehive or make one! To make one safely, put a campfire directly under a beehive (campfire smoke makes them passive and they will not attack). Use the sheers to get honeycomb from them, and then you can use the honeycombs to make beehives. If you want an actual beehive, you'll need an ax with the silk touch enchantment. Place a campfire directly under the hive and mine it with the enchanted ax to pick it up. If there are bees inside of it, they will be carried with you as well. Trying to mine it without a silk touch ax will destroy the hive and anger the bees. If you need bees to fill up your hives, you can pull them with the rope or carry a flower and have them follow you. Flowers are food to them and will let you breed them as well. And to collect honey safely, place a campfire under your hive. You can collect honey using a glass bottle. You'll know when you're able to collect honey when the hive is dripping with it! Edit: Also, the campfire may harm the bees if it's a block under the hive. Bees usually enter and exit from the bottom of the hive, so having the campfire be at least two blocks below your hive is the minimum safe distance.
When 3 villagers are nearby each other, they will 'gossip' and spawn a golem.. This can happen if there is no iron golem within a 16x13x16block area of the villagers' gossip for a total of 700 ticks (35 seconds). It works better if they are panicking. I love the videos.
