Thanks for the in-depth comparison video. I agree with you on the final scores. Weebill 3 has itself sold simply because of all those details, the wrist support, the more comfortable grips, the well-placed buttons. All those details make me believe Weebill 3 is a gimbal closer to users.
The consequence of watching this video at 11:00 pm is that I opened the Amazon, searched and placed an order to buy a WEEBILL 3. Well, I admit that I have wanted to change the stabilizer for a long time. Then it happened that both DJI and Zhiyun released new products last week. I'm still hesitating which one to change. But your review gives me a good reason🥺🥺. Thanks again for your video! Fair and comprehensive!
You can hardly notice the differences in the stability on today's gimbals, to be honest. Both of them are pretty good, but the Weebill 3 is a clear winner to me because of its more ergonomic design and simplified user interface. I like a gimbal that can be used right out of the box. Weebill 3 just has the job done.
The RS3 is definitely more stable, especially with IBIS off. Great comparison, thank you! What about ease of balancing and clearance for larger lenses/bodies?
It looks almost the same in terms of the stability. To me the Weebill 3 looks even smoother, RS3 a little robotic. Weebill 3 comes more handy while RS3 has more fancy features but alsomore cost. I think I will pick the Weebill.
Weebill 3 was my choice. I bought both, used both to really get a feel for what suited my needs. The Weebill 3 was far more comfortable and way less fatiguing doing RE jobs for the same property on different days. I made sure I was not doing one, and then the other which is really dumb without having a long enough break and already being fatigued some. Many of the semi orbits, parallel, and long angular ascents and descents I did (think of an angled motion from a slider) with these the Weebill 3 was super smooth and clean. No quick jerky stuff, or kickback from the motion. The RS3 I had to work several times in those motions especially the orbit moves and angular ascents from knee level to about head high, and it felt far more clunky in terms of balance and physical holding. Weebill 3 is amazingly good, and one you can use for hours without as much fatigue as the RS3. Thanks for the video.
From the number of accessories that will improve functionality alone, I'm gonna give my vote to the RS3. Sure it's gonna be additional purchases but I'll go with anything that can turn my gimbal more ""pro"" with each additional gear that I get. The Ronin ecosystem is much more developed than Zhiyun's.
To me, the Zhiyun Weebill 3 is more travel friendly and more practical for long-time shooting tasks. DJI is adding a lot of fancy features to its gimbals as they always do but also adding cost/weight and complicating the learning curves. Zhiyun is simplifying the gimbal. DJI is decorating the gimbal. Different products, also different marketing strategies I would say.
I've owned the whole weebill family since the LAB, they're the inventors of the true sling mode and that move is integral to my work once you're able to pull it off as easily as you can with the weebills, but I have also used pretty much every gimbal out there and the one feature I really, really love about DJI is the adjustable roll axis arm. It makes it super easy to achieve perfect balancing, and I was really bummed out to see weebill lose its iconic form factor, but also omit this very important adjustment option once again. If I'm gonna lose the perfect sling capability, touch screen and still no roll adjustment, I might as well just switch to the RS3 this time.
I've never owned a gimbal so this is valuable advice. The DJI is my choice because I like the fact that I can replace the battery. The Weebill product life will be determined by its internal battery - that makes me feel uneasy about buying it.
Pretty lame, to pretend an old weebill user to badmouth the new weebill. I saw this same-copied comment everywhere under Weebill 3's video. The way DJI elbows out its competitors is way more opposite to its high-tech appearance.
@@FrankFang1025 🙄 yeah I copy pasted it myself cause I was too lazy to retype. Pretty lame you think people cant change their mind or voice an opinion. Pretty extra lame to be a blinded fan boy.
You cannot complain Weebill 3's 21-hour runtime within such a compact handle. DJI sells their so-called removable handle (battery) for hundreds, it's a deal-breaker for me to always have to purchase DJI's expensive accessories.
Great work! Do more unpaid comparisons in future and don't be sold. I feel paid ones are biased even if a reviewer say they aren't. For unpaid you can speak your heart and I am sure there are people like me to support you on that aspect.
I only need the gimbal to be as simple to use as possible, do its job, and be stable, in this case, I think I will go for the weebill 3. It seems like zhiyun goes back to focus on the basics of the gimbal this time, making it easier for the users to use with the wrist rest. Even though RS5 is known for its DJI ecosystem, I don't see myself using it that much.
I think the rs3 is the winner if you count the stability of the gimbal. In fact I think the stability should get two points because one of the reasons to buy a gimbal is to get the best stability. But I think you have great comparison of this two gimbals. Thanks
The auto axis lock on RS3 looks more of a gimmick to me. You still have to balance the gimbal for the first time to make it work. And for most of the times, you won't stick your camera to the gimbal all the time.
on a day of shooting we have four cameras mounted on four gimbals for 12+ hours and use them whenever we need. We switch gimbals all the time and with the Weebill S we have to lock and unlock all axes permanently, which is quite annoying doing that all day.
i have an aircross2 thinking of switchinng to the rs3 because of the automatic lock system. Sometimes when im out on location i forget to uinlock every axis and then i have to make ashoot more. Also i am photographing more than filming and sometimes im using a hybrid setup. So autolock would be also convinient. But dont know how much more stable the rs3 is. But the most important point would be the autolock feature. And yes it happened sometimes to me to forgett unlocking or locking. But dont know if ots all worth it.
Thank you for this comparison, currently I'm using the weebill s and considering to upgrade my gimbal and after watching your reviews (separate w3 and rs3) and this comparison review, for my needs, I would be upgrading to the DJI rs3 🙏😀
I bought a Weebil S which didn’t work properly from day one. Couldn’t calibrate it, update the firmware or anything, a lot of backwards and forwards from technical support didn’t solve anything so I threw it away, now I have a RS3 and it’s fantastic. Works flawlessly. DJI is the way to go.
Was waiting for this video! I think zhiyun's longer battery life, wrist rest, smaller frame and lighter weight, cheaper price does it for me. RS3 seems a little bit more stable, but not so much that it would make much of a difference, but would require something like gyro stabilization to be perfect anyway.
So my unbiased opinion.Zhiun has lots of gimmicks and that’s not something that helps you with filming or better your life when using it. Ronin Has essential features that actually matters and just gets the job done. Plus Ronin has so much more when it comes to having it on a car or using other devices. That’s where it’s different. Regardless of who can stabilize the best today that’s not something that matters anymore because we can stabilize it more in post, like you mentioned. But yeah that’s all from me ^.^
Thanks for the first comparison of these two gimbals. I honestly can't figure out which of the two is better performing in terms of stabilization. At first glance I would say the ronin, but the left side framed more with the zhiyun could be deceiving. I need to change my weebill lab to one of these two. I have to decide within a few days.
I'm looking forward to replace my old weebill s, so this is the perfect video for me. I think weebill is quite good in design update, but not good enough, I do underslung shot alot, and that foam handle is seem a bad idea. And judge from your test, it seems that dji rs3 is slightly more stable. And I do travel a lot, so the ability to remove the handle for packing is a plus point for me. Thank you for this video.
My pick will be zhiyun weebill3 any day That’s more comfortable and easy to use Dji provides all the fancy features But zhiyun weebill3 has all the essential and everyday use features Thanks for making a honest review Video Plus i can use zhiyun weebill3 all day with single hand Rs3 is just too heavy and uncomfortable for me to use whole day with single hand
Really a tough decision between these two. Thank you so much for the comparison, fantastic! I might go for Weebill 3 though, for the wrist rest and the battery life
The Weebill 2 and DJI RSC2 & RS2 we're all 100% compatible with the Nikon D780, the last couple of years I didn't really need a Gimbal very often, so I was renting them when I needed them...however I'm shooting more video now, and starting see the need to just purchase on out right. Now that both Zhiyun and DJI have released new models that both have features I really like. It seems the Weebill3 is the only one the is still 100% compatible with the D780, but doesn't include the Focus motor or image transmitter...but the RS3 Pro Combo has everything, except the D780 isn't included in there compatibility list. So I'm on the fence on which one to get. Will the Focus motor for the Weebill 2 fit and work on the Weebill 3?
Yes, very nice review! I watched your videos very carefully and I think that DJI RS 3 is more smoothly than Zhiyun W3. However I am going to buy DJI RS 3 Combo for my setup with Nikon Z6 II. Thank you very mach for your content ! Have a nice day 🙂.
Would anyone know if either of these would work with a Panasonic GH3? I am ONLY looking for balancing for my daughter who needs to create short films for college. Thanks for your time.
neither my friend if you havent already got a gimbal. Just did a review on the all new Weebill 3E. i would probably recommend that given the budget price
2 BATTERY: you have to throw the Weebill 3 away when its battery eventually fails. The RS3 you can buy a new battery. That a massive advantage to DJI. The DJI was more stable
i think so too. Its good that both gimbals are so different. Because it gives people mor choices. Someone who needs an arm rest or fill light and son goes with weebil. Andsomeone who needs something like autolock goes with the rs3
Very useful video, I've been using a weebil s for two years, you say it's worth the upgrade to the RS3? More than anything else from the point of view of stabilization, I use the gimbal a lot for weddings and I have never bought Ronin because usually heavier than zhiyun, you say that 300 grams of weight difference are felt between weebil and RS3 ?
I would recommend an Ecosystem category - what solutions are available in the market to further expand the operation of the device. For example, car mounts.
6k Pro is quite large, I believe the weight is sustainable however clearance (width) might be a slight issue. I haven't tried yet so I can't comment, best to take it to a DJI store and test it to be sure.
1:05 counterpoint: The DJI is MUCH more compact sitting on a table if you've got it on top of a battery brick that uses the same contacts as the grip. I'd argue that's a point in DJI's favor, not the Weebill's.
@@MrTechTok Depends on the form factor of the battery, no? My point is that a wider, flatter battery gives you much sturdier mounting options, especially if the battery itself has 1/4-20 mounts. Alternatively, since the gimbal portion can be detached, its much more compact for travel - even with a camera attached to it.
Great video. Up until the end of your review i was going to upgrade my weebill s to the rs3 but when i saw that the trigger button cant be customized, its a huge no for me as i use it on my weebill s to tilt up and down as i tilt my wrist up and down... My question is what does the trigger button do on the rs3 ? Can it be used that way?
It’s the lock mode. Click and hold to be in lock release and it reverts back to previous mode. Check my in-depth video if you need more detail , hope that helps
havent got my hands on that lens but given my guess, my tamron 75-200 fits on both of these extended. though low angel does require some pre-balancing since the barrel extends out and unbalances the gimbal.
I had buy the Weevil 3 but after a Week I send it back to the seller because there are a lots of things that make my angry. Now I have the RS3 and all problems are solved.
for us the WEEBILL 3 is no longer a choice, coming from the WEEBILL S, which we used for quite some time. We use monitors attached to the gimbal on the back top and side and that is no longer possible with the WEEBILL 3. We will switch to DJI i think.
It’s fine. Better grip vs wb3. Same material as the hand grip. Had no trouble using it, I was just testing out crazy rotations which most people probably wouldn’t shot in.
I see both gimbals come up with brand new upgrades such as the wrist rest and auto axis lock. Do both gimbals support vertical shoots? I am still considering to pick up one of them to become my next gimbal 🙏
Gimbals nowadays have little differences in stability. They keep adding features to them, light, mic, image transmission, axis lock, etc. I would rather pick cheaper one
Your review and comparisons are really informative and go really in depth. Thank you for that ! 😊👍 My heart is very swinging in between Weebill 3 and RS3... - I have a long term project of documentaries going on, so having a lighter and more comfortable setup with long lasting battery life and even a little light on top, is very appealing ! But I also do some heavier work for short movies and making of and all... And there is a major flaw for me in the Weebill 3: Where do I put my monitor ? oO I shoot on A7III, I have no flip-out screen and motors gets on the way :/ If the handle had at least a cold shoe, that would be a little more interesting... The RS3 looks amazing and I like the quick customizing modes and the touch screen + a real proper handle for underslung and cold shoe. But the Weebill-S was my first gimbal and I alway operate it with 2 hands and I'm scared to be tired very quickly, as well as the battery... :/ Both are already about 600grams heavier than my Weebill-S...
Non removable battery on the weebill 3 is a deal breaker, I've put an order on weebill 3 but have to cancel once i have found about this. I asked zhiyun tech what if i have to replace batteries and the closest service suport is in Germany, i live in Romania. @ok8, can you look if there is any way a regular user can access and replace weebill 3 batteries ? they say it has 3 standard 18650 batteries.
I bought weebill3 yesterday and found a bad thing. In PF mode, if you push trigger button to change to F mode while you're moving gimbal then there comes a shock so that your clip can be shaken a lot. Of course, vice versa, F to PF. Too bad for my frequent use scenario 😪
I noticed that the WEEBILL 3 grip handle is in much lower part of the gimbal body than RS3, I can't help but wonder does this make a big difference in weight allocation?
ZHIYUN made a new sling design? Never seen it before. Will DJI make the change too? 😯 Anyway, good to see the them compete with each other and get the price lower
i thought he wasnt sponsored until i seen the added shaking to the weebill lmao that was not organic my guy.... i can get more stable without a gimbal than that lmao
For bluetooth connection which is very important for most of people you give just 0.5 points and for one custom button more you give whole point to weebil. Also for just a 50usd lower price you give half a point. Not fair comparison but ok. ;) What about portrait mode shooting? I can't find anything related to that.
i am having a bad experience with ZHIYUN. i have weebil s which wont stop vibrating and i dont find a way to stop it now if i am going for new gimbal i will think of DJI series.
I didn’t liked your review, it feels like you are pending towards ZHYIUN Weebill 3, very clear that this gimbal it’s behind DJI RSC 3 Gimbal, in so many aspects! Don’t even need to be a photographer or videographer or work for film 🎥 industry, just see the specifications and everything they do offering as a tool!!! I would consider 10 x3 for the DJI Gimbal very clear to me! Price difference depends what which individual values for money, $190 it’s nothing when compared to difference between cameras 🎥 and lens prices! You pay for what you get!

Super nice comparisons, A small critique, you talk so damn quick i need to go back all the time to hear it! Thanks for the video
Hahah didn’t want to waste viewers time
Very useful video, I've been using a weebil s for two years, you say it's worth the upgrade to the RS3? More than anything else from the point of view of stabilization, I use the gimbal a lot for weddings and I have never bought Ronin because usually heavier than zhiyun, you say that 300 grams of weight difference are felt between weebil and RS3 ?
Amazing job! 👏
Nice subtle bentley
Good eye. Clients job
I would recommend an Ecosystem category - what solutions are available in the market to further expand the operation of the device. For example, car mounts.
本来以为是个简单的英化视频,没想到乔治还是单独为外语观众重录了介绍,而且英语说得还这么好,真的太牛逼了。
Quick question bro. Can I use the rs3 with blackmagic 6k pro and sigma 18-35 lens? Will it work fine?
6k Pro is quite large, I believe the weight is sustainable however clearance (width) might be a slight issue. I haven't tried yet so I can't comment, best to take it to a DJI store and test it to be sure.
Hey man, do you have any recommendations on how to have the gimbal feel more.. organic? Closer to using a steadicam vs. the robotically smooth look?
Compared to the external microphone sold on the market, what price range does wb3 show similar performance?
1:05 counterpoint: The DJI is MUCH more compact sitting on a table if you've got it on top of a battery brick that uses the same contacts as the grip. I'd argue that's a point in DJI's favor, not the Weebill's.
You mean removing the tripod stand and let it sit on battery itself? How well doesn’t it balance with a heavy camera on top given its top heavy
@@MrTechTok thank you !! so how do you tilt up as you are bringing the gimbal down to keep your subject in the frame?
Thanks for the comparison. I personally think DJI RS3 outperforms the Weebill 3.
Any ideas which one would be able to handle the tamron 35 150 f2 with a7iii or IV?
havent got my hands on that lens but given my guess, my tamron 75-200 fits on both of these extended. though low angel does require some pre-balancing since the barrel extends out and unbalances the gimbal.
How about the sling grip of RS3, you seem to be struggling when you use it, does this thing saves effort?
It’s fine. Better grip vs wb3. Same material as the hand grip. Had no trouble using it, I was just testing out crazy rotations which most people probably wouldn’t shot in.
Does anyone know if the Rs3 have enough clearance to have a rode video mic attached to the hotshoe?
I see both gimbals come up with brand new upgrades such as the wrist rest and auto axis lock. Do both gimbals support vertical shoots? I am still considering to pick up one of them to become my next gimbal 🙏
yes both shoot vertical in sling mode
Gimbals nowadays have little differences in stability. They keep adding features to them, light, mic, image transmission, axis lock, etc. I would rather pick cheaper one
please do weeble 3 with bmpcc 6k pro
Your review and comparisons are really informative and go really in depth.
Thank you for that ! 😊👍
My heart is very swinging in between Weebill 3 and RS3...
- I have a long term project of documentaries going on, so having a lighter and more comfortable setup with long lasting battery life and even a little light on top, is very appealing !
But I also do some heavier work for short movies and making of and all...
And there is a major flaw for me in the Weebill 3: Where do I put my monitor ? oO
I shoot on A7III, I have no flip-out screen and motors gets on the way :/
If the handle had at least a cold shoe, that would be a little more interesting...
The RS3 looks amazing and I like the quick customizing modes and the touch screen + a real proper handle for underslung and cold shoe.
But the Weebill-S was my first gimbal and I alway operate it with 2 hands and I'm scared to be tired very quickly, as well as the battery... :/
Both are already about 600grams heavier than my Weebill-S...
How about the microphone, is it good?
Check my in-depth Weebill 3. I have sound test
Too bad for my frequent use scenario 😪
try changing your motor power to low and update to latest firmware. Not sure if that helps but worth a shot
Hey can you try to compare the follow focus or tracking for self fillmaker
I did it in my in-depth review. Check my Chanel for your respective gimbals
@@MrTechTok Wich video? I neeed something for do my own videos, record myself doing some stuff and I just started doing some wedding videos
I'd gladly pay the extra 50 bucks for the RS3. The Weebill 2 is the last Zhiyun I will be using thank you very much.
I noticed that the WEEBILL 3 grip handle is in much lower part of the gimbal body than RS3, I can't help but wonder does this make a big difference in weight allocation?
Check out my Weebill 3 review on this. In short weight distribution is good on wb3 but the grip is not centered right.
Love From India 🇮🇳
ZHIYUN made a new sling design? Never seen it before. Will DJI make the change too? 😯 Anyway, good to see the them compete with each other and get the price lower
i thought he wasnt sponsored until i seen the added shaking to the weebill lmao that was not organic my guy.... i can get more stable without a gimbal than that lmao
Stabilization no doubt RS3 takes the cake!
For bluetooth connection which is very important for most of people you give just 0.5 points and for one custom button more you give whole point to weebil. Also for just a 50usd lower price you give half a point.
Not fair comparison but ok. ;)
What about portrait mode shooting? I can't find anything related to that.
well done.. thnx! :)
i am having a bad experience with ZHIYUN. i have weebil s which wont stop vibrating and i dont find a way to stop it now if i am going for new gimbal i will think of DJI series.
try setting motor settings to low? maybe it will help abit?
@@MrTechTok thank you for the reply but that didn't worked either. The only way it worked a lil is by putting tilt at 6 it's not perfect but works.
You pay for what you get!
i guess no justice no peace glad you settled on your gimbal
Ofcourse you pick the Zhiyun, Mr. Zhi Hyun
