John Denver’s song Rocky Mountain High is one of two state songs for Colorado.
His song Country Roads is one of West Virginia’s state songs. He was,also, appointed poet laureate for Colorado in 1974. John Denver was very important in Colorado culture as he lived here and represented people belief is protecting the land. We were devastated when he died in the plane crash.

Another beautiful love song by John Denver is “For You”. It is also from The Wildlife Concert. By the way-“Annie’s Sing” was written for his first wife Annie. “For You” was written for his second wife Cassandra.
